Seth's POV
The applause from the arena echoed faintly through the backstage corridors as I pushed through another set of doors.
The event was nearing its climax.
Sponsors mingled.
Designers celebrated with smiles of satisfaction from the displays they had seen.
Models rushed around in expensive gowns and branded designs.
Media personnel darted from one location to another chasing interviews and reactions.
But I wasn't paying attention to all of that. I was completely in my head analysing possibilities.
Chloe didn't seem like she was herself. Something was completely weird about her. She was just too perfect on the runway and I was wondering if I should be happy or worried. She couldn't have been that effortlessly good.
Not when Casey had spent weeks making her life miserable.
And definitely not when every instinct in my body kept telling me something was wrong.
Very wrong.
My gut feeling kept saying that something was wrong but I just couldn't place what it was.
