Chapter 151 - Chapter 151: Death Walker

The soft rhythm of falling rain echoed through the night.

In the dense outskirts of London, deep within a forest cloaked in shadows, stood an ancient castle. Despite the overgrowth and isolation, the castle still held a kind of haunting elegance. Its architecture spoke of a long-forgotten nobility—arched windows, a grand stone entrance, red tile roofs, and tall pillars gave the castle a romantic, old-world charm. Inside, tall windows let in what little moonlight the night offered. The warm glow of flickering candles and the gentle crackle of a fireplace filled the room with comfort and illusion.

It was a beautiful, English-style castle, complete with fine silverware, polished chandeliers, and ornate candlesticks. Tonight, this relic of history had become the venue for a luxurious gathering. Inside the grand hall, men and women dressed in exquisite gowns and tailored suits mingled. They danced to melodious music, raised glasses of blood-red wine, and laughed under the soft hum of violins. It was the kind of party that made you forget the outside world even existed.

But that illusion was shattered in an instant.

BANG!

The castle doors were flung open with a deafening crash.

A tall woman in tight black leather armor and a flowing trench coat stormed into the hall, her boots soaked from the rain. Her expression was cold and sharp. A large firearm was slung across her shoulder, and seven or eight warriors in matching combat gear followed close behind her.

The atmosphere inside the castle snapped. The music stopped. The guests froze mid-conversation, their glasses held mid-air. Whispers spread like wildfire.

"Isn't that Selena? And the other Death Walkers?"

"Why is she back from Unit 203 so suddenly? Has something happened?"

"Don't tell me it's the werewolves again..."

"I knew those filthy creatures would strike eventually..."

But Selena ignored their gossip. Her eyes scanned the room until she locked onto the man sprawled casually on the grand sofa, one arm draped around a young woman on his lap. The man was Kraven, temporary leader of the Blood Clan.

She walked up to him without hesitation, her soldiers following in formation behind her.

"Kraven, we have a problem," she said.

Kraven arched a brow, clearly unbothered. "What is it, Walter? Let me guess, the sewer rats are stirring again? Those things barely qualify as a threat. They survive on filth and shadows."

He swirled the blood in his wine glass with a smirk, his voice dripping with arrogance. Around him, other Blood Clan elites laughed softly in agreement. Their posture was relaxed, careless.

They were powerful. Too powerful, in their minds, to be concerned.

The Blood Clan had ruled for centuries. Their pure lineage had given them strength, near immortality. And above all, they had allies hidden deep within human society. Their influence ran through governments, corporations, and media. Their elder leader, Victor, slept in a crypt beneath the castle—an ancient being of terrifying power.

Compared to that, the petty werewolves and exiled creatures living in London's sewers were barely worth acknowledging.

But Selena wasn't smiling.

"It's not the wolves," she said quietly. "It's a demon."

The room fell still.

"A demon?" Kraven's smirk faltered for a moment.

"Yes," Selena continued. "Since yesterday, several of our people have vanished. Entire groups of Blood Clan members have disappeared from their territories."

She paused to let that sink in. Then dropped the bombshell:

**"We discovered that a demon is behind it—**a powerful, unknown entity that's hypnotizing our kind and building an army. Worse—the Avengers are in London. They're here because of this demon."

The name sent a visible jolt through the room.

"The Avengers?" someone whispered.

"They're chasing the demon," Selena confirmed. "And according to intel from our human contacts, it escaped from the hands of the Goddess of Judgment herself."

The mention of that name sent chills down the spines of everyone present.

Even Kraven's glass slipped from his fingers and shattered on the expensive red carpet. He didn't notice. His expression was frozen in disbelief.

"You said... it escaped from her?"

In the dark world—the world of vampires, werewolves, and demons—the "Goddess of Judgment" was a name that carried the weight of legend. She was more than a hero. She was the grim reaper of their kind.

Once, she had torn through a faction of Victor's bloodline, killing even the purest of their warriors. Kraven had once dared to challenge her authority, sending an elite team of assassins to eliminate her.

None returned.

Since then, the Blood Clan and other dark forces had gone into hiding. The very mention of her name was enough to shut down any talk of rebellion. She had become their ultimate fear.

But now Selena was saying that something had faced her—and survived.

"That's impossible," one of the nobles said, trembling.

"No," Kraven said quietly. "It's terrifying. If it could escape her, it could destroy us all."

He began pacing the floor, deep in thought. The other Blood Clan elites watched him nervously. For all their pride, Kraven was still their leader. And with Victor asleep, all decisions fell to him.

Finally, Kraven stopped. His voice was low, but firm.

"Call back all Death Walkers. Immediately."

"Even those on active missions?" Selena asked.

"Everyone."

He turned to another lieutenant.

"Summon every ally we have in other cities. Use Victor's name if you must. This threat is too big for any single group to ignore."

Selena nodded, already preparing her team.

"Where are the Avengers now?" Kraven asked.

"Weybridge," Selena replied. "Eight miles southwest of London."

"Good. Keep eyes on them. Find the demon's location with everything we've got. But don't engage. Once we know where it is, contact the Avengers. Let them fight it first."

Kraven's orders were clear.

He knew that if even the Goddess of Judgment couldn't stop this creature, they would stand no chance without strategy. Let the superheroes bleed for now—the Blood Clan would strike when it mattered most.

Even the proud Death Walkers nodded at Kraven's reasoning. For the first time in years, Selena saw a glimmer of leadership in him.

The demon had changed everything.

And the darkness knew it.
