Traveling towards Kemitopia, Kita, Hana, Yuna, and Lulu feel something is odd. The tribes seem busy, and every Kemi looks like they are preparing for something. Not only that, the population of each place seems to be fewer than usual. At first, it was a wild guess, a curveball observation. The more they cross through other tribes, the more skeptical they get. It gets even weirder when the group sees that the stalls at Merch Tribe are closed.
"Where are the Kemis?" Kita asked while they looked around.
"I'm curious about that as well…" Hana responded.
"I thought I was the only one who found it weird. Or maybe everything is not back to normal yet?" Yuna speculated.
"Or maybe they are playing hide and seek!" Lulu replied.
"Chuu~ I want to play too!" Pily added.
"Yeah… Yuna might be right. Resting for too long killed my guts' power." Kita said.
"Though it was definitely a time well spent," Hana replied.
"I think it wasn't enough!" Lulu complained.
"We can take a nap some other time," Yuna responded as she patted Lulu's head.
"Nyatta!" Lulu gladly reacted.
Eventually, the four of them reach the Snowy Tribe. The plan is to invite Maiko and Zela to come with them to Kemitopia. But when they arrived at the village, they asked the local villagers about the whereabouts of Maiko. They mentioned that Maiko was busy elsewhere, she could not join them for now and will follow them the day after. Being the Tribe Leader that united all tribes surely has a lot of responsibilities. Because of that, the group decided to proceed to Maple Tribe and spend the night there. The good thing about the situation is that this place is different from the others. It looks like they are the first ones to fully go back to a normal state. Being the busiest place no matter what time it is, though they are quite extra busy that day.
The next morning, the group was woken up by a noise outside. Tons of Kemis are at the pier, it's a refreshing sight to see since the place has never been this busy. When the four of them went out, they saw Stevy resting on the sand.
"Oy Stevy!" Kita called him as they approached.
"Oh, the rookies back then! I'm so glad to see you!" Stevy gladly said as he stood up.
"It's been a long time, how are nyu?" Kita asked.
"I'm doing great. I'm taking a rest for now because it's my third back-and-forth trip since this morning." Stevy answered.
"Third back and forth? Wow, it looks like a lot of Kemis are voyaging." Hana mentioned.
"Hai, I never knew that this day would come. I guess we should all be careful what we wish for." Stevy kiddingly said.
"So nyu are no longer shorthanded?" Yuna asked.
"We barely survive, but it's doable. We received a lot of help but the waves of passengers are 10 times more than normal." Stevy replied.
"We can offer some help if nyu want~" Lulu responded.
"Honto? Wait let me go tell the captain." Stevy said as he sprinted away. "BE READY WITH YOUR JUMPSUITS!" He added.
"I think a miscommunication just blew out right in front of us," Yuna commented.
"Yeah…" Kita and Hana reacted.
"What did I do?" Lulu curiously asked. In Lulu's mind, the help that she is offering is riding the Giant Beasts toward Kemitopia. But Stevy interpreted it as they will be part of the crew once more.
The situation escalated too quickly before they could even clear things out. The group is already trapped in the shipping vessel, wearing orange jumpsuits. They can't call Thirdy to lift their ship since other passengers are boarding the ship. There may be casualties if they were to do so. With that, the group just inhales and then laugh things out as they accept the situation. Maiko will be late anyway, and they still have plenty of time to spare. The four Kemis make the best out of what they call happy accidents.
Doing all of the crew's chores, it all seems natural for them even though the tasks are loaded. The long vacation made the group slightly excited to do something again. After four days of travel, they finally reached the dock. Kemitopia is well decorated, with tons of other Kemis walking around. The place looks lively and festive.
"I miss this place!" Kita said as they went down from the deck.
"It's colorful, I love it!" Lulu commented.
"Maybe there's an event now? Though I don't remember what it is…" Yuna replied.
"It could be a big one, I mean the preparation of the place is bigger than the Grand Reopening back then," Hana mentioned.
"Weeeell, there's no Evil Mimi to deal with now, they can go all out unlike before," Kita responded.
As they walk and wander around the land, a group of Royal Guards suddenly approach them. "These are the four Kemis fitting the descriptions," one of the Royal Guards said.
"Hai?" The four of them curiously reacted.
"You are all under arrest. May we please request your cooperation." The Royal Guard said.
"HUH!?" They all once again reacted at the same time.
"It will be better if you all come with us peacefully. We don't want to disturb the public." The Royal Guard suggested.
"Wait, wait, there must be a misunderstanding. What did we do wrong?" Hana questioned.
"A Kemi filed a complaint. She said that four Catgirls wrecked their stall. The sketches highly resemble the four of you." The Royal Guard said as he showed the sketches.
"Woah, those exactly look like us. Even our clothes look the same! Those are great sketches." Lulu praised the sketches.
"That's not us. We just arrived here minutes ago!" Kita argued.
"If you truly are innocent, then we can clear your names to the officials." The Royal Guard responded.
"Let's just do what he says, at least we can meet the Kemi who falsely accused us. We are going to the palace anyway so might as well clear our names." Yuna suggested.
"Fineeeee… At least we can get a free ride towards the palace." Kita replied as she calmed down.
"Chuu~ Misunderstandings right after a misunderstanding. From the ship to Kemitopia." Pily commented.
"Thank you for cooperating, right this way please." The Royal Guard said as he led the way to the carriage.
The sequence of unfortunate events continues as soon as they land on Kemitopia. These minimal inconveniences are starting to annoy them, and Lulu is doing her best to calm everyone down. Eventually, they reached the complaint center, which is one of the newly established places near the Royal Castle.
The four of them thought that it would only take a few minutes but it did not go the way that they expected. The complaining Kemi is an old Parrotgirl with poor eyesight. Other than the coincidental appearance that the four of them have, there's nothing else that can prove the identity of who did it. The complaint is hard to distinguish, and they don't know how to resolve the issue effectively. Having poor eyesight equates to doubtful claims, but it is also not fair to just drop the case because of it. The four of them wanted to vent their frustrations, but at the same time worried about the old Kemi's feelings. The least that they can do for now is to stay at the premises while the rest of the Royal Guards search for further evidence.
The case took four long hours before it finally got resolved. In the end, Kita, Hana, Yuna, and Lulu are proven innocent. For the old Kemi, the damage will be shouldered by the Royal Guards if they fail to catch the culprits. Lastly, the group was instructed to proceed to the Royal Palace and search for Duke Nasmuir. He will give the group compensation for the trouble that they've been through.
Kita, Hana, Yuna, and Lulu can finally vent out as they walk into the empty halls of the Royal Palace.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaa… These past few days have been just straight-up weird…" Kita tiredly said.
"It feels like bad luck somewhat welcomes our return to the scene," Hana commented.
"I also could not think of any other logical reasoning for these events…" Yuna responded.
"I failed to take a nap during our stay in the complaint center," Lulu complained.
The four of them deeply sighed together.
"Are we there yet?" Kita asked.
"The Royal Guard said it's beyond that curtain," Yuna answered.
When the group opened up the curtains, a loud cheer welcomed them as 17 chairs were placed in front of the veranda. 4 in the middle are empty, while the rest are occupied by Mae, Mittsy, Lisa, Aoi, Rin, Coco, Eve, Rubi, Celeste, Raven, FeLinE, Maiko, and lastly, Queen Grace. The rest of the Catgirls directed Kita's group to proceed to their chairs. As soon as they walk in front, Duke Nasmuir announces, "Please welcome, the saviors of the UniPaws!"
The crowd goes wild as everyone warmly welcomes them. As of now, the four of them are confused, but judging from what has been happening, it all makes sense now.
"We're sorry that we created a plan like this." Queen Grace said.
"It was Raven's idea to make it chaotic, though we all agreed to it," Rin added.
"It's a sweet little revenge, now the score is even! The tables have turned." Raven defended her idea as she laughed.
"Even Stevy puts on a great performance. I must say, every Kemi has some commendable acting skills." Maiko mentioned.
"FeLinE thinks all of this is unnecessary, but it's fun," FeLinE:1000X said in a monotone voice.
"Everything was set up?" Kita clarified.
"So that's why the Kemis are missing, and the pier was too busy. They are all here." Hana mentioned.
"And the event is for us…?" Yuna added.
"I'm tired, let's sit on the chairs!" Lulu said as she rushed to the center. The rest followed her and sat as well.
The event continued and it surprised the group tremendously. After the recovery, the council all agreed to extend gratitude towards the saviors of the realm, and also mark the 1st declaration of UniKemis. It will be something to be celebrated yearly, a week-long feast to which every Kemi is invited. Different stalls from vendors across the land are placed, helping to promote the three continents in this event. During the opening, the story of defeating the Evil Mimis was told. The creation of the Field Separator became the highlight since it showed the unity of the Kemis. Afterward, the declaration of the UniKemis is publicly announced. The members of the council are introduced as well. In this way, everyone will be reminded of the history, the truth about UniPaws, and the purpose of the UniKemis.
After the En Grande opening, the group went to Duke Nasmuir's estate. All types of food were presented in the vicinity. They no longer have to go around the land since they have samples for each stall. It's time for a pool party Catgirls' style.
With Aoi working at the finest clothing line on the land, they prepared tons of swimwear to choose from. The ones that they pick will be a gift from Francois, while the rest will go back to the shop. A few moments later, they all change into their preferred swimwear, and the pool party begins.
It is the first time that all of them have had such a bonding moment like this. While they are all in the pool, the Catgirls decide to trace the story of how they met Kita's group. Each one of them started to tell stories about them, their personal lives, their relation to other Kemis, and up until meeting Kita's group. Because they already worked as a team, getting to know each other more will build deeper connections between them.
The conversation held different emotions. There are a lot of untold stories right after Kita's group left their place. Like the inspiring noble act of how Maiko united the tribes. And then there's Mae and Mittsy's story about the time when they finally knew Queen Grace's true identity. They thought that Kita's group arrival was chaotic, but it was even more problematic when they left. The maids can vouch for this, though it was problematic in a positive way for them.
Starting from Riverania to Kemitopia to Zenshin, and throughout the Deserted Isles. The tales never seem to have any dull moments. From adventurous escapades to perfecting sophistication to thrilling heart-racing competitions. And of course, a mind-breaking discovery of the truth. A complete package for a fruitful expedition, saving the UniPaws was the cherry on top of their adventure.
The fun activities continued, and after the storytelling, loads of competition occurred like; Swimming race contests. Pool volleyball. The longest one to hold their breath underwater. The fastest one to eat a snow cone. Spinning 10 times, and then smashing the watermelon. These activities never failed to make everyone laugh as they all actively participated in each challenge.
Eventually, they all warmed up and built an improvised campfire in the backyard. The night sky watches them enjoy the peaceful moment, singing soothing tunes while chilling in front of the campfire. They all know that after this, everyone must go back to their normal lives. Not to mention, they still need to assist FeLinE in going back to her realm. For now, they can stop all their worries about what tomorrow may bring. It's all about what's in front of them, savoring a new friendship solidified by their memories with each other.
"Nyu know what, I think we did the right thing…" Kita said.
Hana, Yuna, and Lulu brightly smiled as they replied, "We did."
