Stars are mystical celestial bodies that illuminate the vast emptiness of the cosmos. It's mesmerizing to know, fascinating to watch, and bewildering to observe. Tons of unimaginable amount of energy is stored within those heavenly bodies, but what if there's more to it?
In a millennial distance away from the observable universe, countless unknown and unfathomable phenomena exist. Somewhere in the depths, a star called the Realm Sanctuary pulls the other realms into existence. This star is not just an ordinary one; something inside it keeps it different from the rest. This may also exist elsewhere, though the answer remains hidden. Let's vividly decipher, or perhaps, travel backward as we look into the ancient history and the origin of the Kemis.
Long ago, an advanced civilization peacefully revolved around a distant dwarf star. This setup did not last long when a larger star passed through their system. Luckily, it did not consume the dwarf star, but the gravitational pull slowly dragged a planet out of orbit. That event created an immeasurable disturbance to their rotation. As a result of the unfortunate encounter, a lonesome planet aimlessly floats in the darkness of space, slowly drifting away from its dwarf star. Without any source of heat, the cold will kill civilization as it freezes the whole land, they must act fast. Using their existing technology, the Guardian Kemis surrounded the whole place with scorching flames, imitating the properties of the dwarf star that they used to orbit.
Even with a successful course of action, the circumstances made the Guardians think about the long run. They are afraid that their existence is futile, an uncontrollable cosmos interference can wipe them out instantly. Something must be done to preserve their kind for more than a millennium.
Centuries passed by and other realms were created, circulating the Kemi-made star. Each realm was bestowed with a specific vessel that later evolved into a specific cluster of Kemi. From a realm where every Kemi can fly, to a realm where every Kemi is a reptile, the list goes on as hundreds of realms were created one after the other.
The creation of numerous realms was successful, but then, a catastrophe occurred. An expected pandemic wiped out the realm for aquatic Kemis, the Oceanaia realm. This resulted in further resolutions that led to the creation of the UniPaws. This center realm holds every kind of Kemis from each realm, except the aquatic kind due to the incident. UniPaws is also the only realm connected directly to the Realm Sanctuary, the rest of the realms are connected to the UniPaws. The general concept is to let the Ruins open for other Kemis, so they can transfer to UniPaws by themselves. But traveling to Realm Sanctuary is different, there are certain ways that only the Sentient Kemis know for precautions.
Milestones were made possible by their technology. They are truly incomprehensible, and their potential is limitless. These technologies are called Runes, and there are multiple variations of them. Runecrystals are forged crystals fused with the blood of the Guardian Kemis. This allows the future generations to be the direct descendants once the Guardian Kemis no longer exist, and those Kemis that will fuse with a Runecrystal will acquire the talent of a certain Guardian Kemi connected to the said artifact. Runekeys are the tools that unlock the gates through different realms. Sacred Runes are the divine technology that the Sentient Kemis protect, only the Guardian Kemis know how to use this Godly weaponry. And lastly, the Forbidden Runes, are the result of failed experimentation making them highly unstable. It wields immense power but destruction equates to its competence. Although more types of technology were used to create their very own realms, these aforementioned Runes are the stepping stones to such a feat.
In the long run, the plan is to spread these Runes around the realms to let their blood run through ages. But unfortunately, Forbidden Runes are also scattered elsewhere, along with other Runes that there is. During that time, Forbidden Runes are not that big of a deal. The Sentient Kemis only showed light inconveniences when they fused with those. However, no one knows how it will interact with the new vessel Kemis.
From being a Lost civilization, and then turning into a Realm Sanctuary. The Guardians fulfilled their mission, surviving the toughest hurdle that hit them, and most importantly prolonging their existence. Because of that, they assigned the Sentient Kemis to keep the order of the place that the Guardians created. Eventually, they submerged into the cosmos, following the rules of life, leaving the place for the next generation to come. Everything else that happened will live in history. Whatever occurs from that point onwards, the Guardians will never interfere anymore. It's the Kemis' job to preserve the world that they are living in.
