Chapter 305: The Annihilator Takes Action

"Your Majesty, please reconsider!"

New King Bier's order was immediately met with opposition from the cabinet ministers.

In truth, with a real crisis looming before them, the Spartan Empire had no interest in internal power struggles.

However, the abrupt decision to dispatch troops was considered extremely reckless.

After all, multiple analyses from specialized teams had concluded that the Annihilation Zerg far outmatched their nation, and provoking them rashly would be unwise.

"Is there another option?" King Bier asked.

The cabinet ministers fell silent.

Peaceful coexistence was clearly out of the question. The Annihilation Zerg's actions made their intentions obvious.

And the proud Spartan Empire would never submit to insects.

"Our only chance is to fight with everything we've got and seize the possibility of preserving the Empire."

Right now, with Allen holding off the Zerg's core forces, launching a surprise attack was a rare strategic opportunity. If they missed it, they might never get another.

To put it bluntly, if the enemy finished devouring the territories of the other three great interstellar empires, they would turn their full strength on the Spartan Empire—and that would spell the end.

Furthermore, Bier was wary of the possibility that Allen might actually win. Given their previously strained relationship, there was a real risk Allen could come back to settle old scores.

Why not use this opportunity to strike, and possibly resolve the conflict between them?

As the orders reached the lower ranks of the military, the Spartan fleet set out once more.

The army had long been on high alert, and star gates had already been covertly established in their previously occupied territory, allowing them to reach the battlefield in record time.

Capital Planet of the Skrull Empire.

Once a dominant force that looked down on countless galactic civilizations, it had now become a vassal of the Annihilation Zerg.

At that moment, an elite unit of Zerg occupied the capital planet's surface, placing the Skrull Queen under house arrest—though officially claiming it was for her protection during wartime.

However, the shapeshifting Skrull Queen had already escaped the palace by assuming a different identity.

Hiding within the sewer system was a determined resistance force of Skrulls who refused to give up the fight.

"Your Majesty!"

The disguised Skrull Queen appeared before the resistance.

Instantly, the spirits of the rebels soared. At least their sovereign had not chosen to surrender.

"Everyone, the legacy our Skrull ancestors gave their lives to build must not be lost in our generation. I have always stood with the Skrull people."

"Long live the Queen! Long live the Skrull Empire!"

The Queen solemnly declared her intent, stirring the rebels' blood.

She began reaching out to allies in secret. Their plan was not only to purge the Zerg from the capital but also to have the Skrull fleets that had followed the Zerg suddenly betray them at a critical moment—launching a devastating ambush.

At the same time, following the footage of Allen battling the Annihilation Zerg, both the Shi'ar Empire and the Kree Empire began preparing counterattacks.

The Annihilation Zerg had grown too arrogant, failing to take the three great interstellar empires seriously and not disarming their militaries right away.

Because the enemy fleets were too widely dispersed, wiping them out would have taken too long—so the Zerg chose instead to conscript them as auxiliary forces, planning to eliminate them after conquering the universe.

"Everyone, gather up!"

Hela downed her drink in one gulp and called her teammates together.

Having seen Allen fight with such fearless resolve, she was suddenly moved. For the first time, she seemed to grasp the meaning of war—and realized that in the past, she'd merely been a puppet, Odin's butcher, responsible for countless atrocities.

"This mission is to support Allen. It's going to be extremely dangerous, and we may die in battle. If anyone wants to back out now, I won't hold it against them," Hela said gravely.

They hadn't known each other long, but they had never schemed against one another—only treated each other sincerely. A genuine bond had quietly formed between them.

This had been the most peaceful and relaxed time of Hela's life.

So if anyone was afraid and wanted to leave, she could understand.

"I'm fine with it. I can't die anyway," Frank said casually, finishing the rest of his drink.

"I'm not backing out," Thanos said firmly.

"Haven't stretched my muscles in a while," Uxas muttered nonchalantly.

These two future cosmic overlords had once been loners, with few friends. But ever since joining the Guardians of the Galaxy, they'd come to see their comrades as true friends.

"I'm going to save my dad," Ayesha said with certainty, hugging Three-Flower tightly.

"Can't let the boss hog all the glory. I'm in," Yondu said boldly.

"If it weren't for the boss, I'd still be stuck in a glass jar," Illusion chimed in.

Hela nodded with satisfaction and said solemnly, "Guardians of the Galaxy, move out!"

Boom!

A blast of thunder drove back five Annihilation Zerg kings.

Allen asked sincerely, "Can you come at me one at a time? There's too many of you, I'm a little overwhelmed."

"Kill him! Cut the chatter!"

Unfortunately, the five kings had no intention of playing fair. They all focused on eliminating the target as quickly as possible.

But after a few moments of battle, they were shocked to discover a horrifying truth—they couldn't take him down even when attacking together.

A being this terrifying could upend the entire Annihilation Zerg strategy.

Put simply, if Allen refused direct confrontation and instead roamed the cosmos launching ambushes, the damage he'd inflict would far exceed any he could do on a traditional battlefield.

"If you won't fight fair, I won't hold back either."

He quietly cast a spell.

Tenfold Stacked Victory Tide Incontinence Deluge Technique.

The Calamity King, who resembled an evolved scorpion, was in the middle of attacking when his body suddenly froze. He began to convulse uncontrollably, and between his hind legs, a stream of liquid burst forth. His face twisted in despair, reaching a peak of humiliation never before seen in the history of the Zerg.

With the spell cast, Allen vanished into stealth mode.

He circled to a position above the Calamity King and unleashed a flurry of hammer blows.

Bang!

The King's skull exploded—another Zerg king had fallen.

"Damn it! He's mastered the power of rules!"

Indeed, magic belonged to the realm of fundamental laws. Different races and civilizations called it by various names and had developed entirely distinct systems.

Among the Annihilation Zerg, kings were the elites—each had honed a single ability to the extreme.

Their combat strength was equivalent to that of a peak Supreme Mage.

They also had high magic resistance. A single spell might do little, which is why Allen began at tenfold amplification, pushing for a qualitative change through sheer quantity.

"Ow ow ow…"

Bang!

He sent the Doomsayer flying with a single strike.

Fortunately, the Zerg's black carapace offered exceptional defense. It only showed a slight dent that began healing before their eyes.

The remaining four kings each had their specialties, evolved to their absolute limits.

The full-body gout spell had already worn off, likely countered by a nervous system that could sever pain receptors.

Boom!

Just as Allen was preparing to strike his next target—

A figure suddenly appeared before him. Twin claws clamped down hard on his shoulders.

"Damn native. Why won't you just die already?"

The Annihilator glared furiously at the struggling Allen—this man had caused the deaths of two of his most trusted lieutenants.

Allen snapped back, "Take it up with the dumbass author. He won't let me die."
