Chapter 336: Miku Wants to Run Away From Home
Night fell over the Nakano house.
The five sisters were gathered together.
Today was their sister meeting, and of course, the topic was about Sakurai Saki agreeing to become their tutor again.
"In short, Sakurai-san has agreed to continue tutoring us," the one who delivered the news was Itsuki.
"Yeahhhh!!" Yotsuba raised both hands and cheered.
✧。◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜✧*。
Yotsuba really liked the feeling of being with Sakurai Saki.
It was very comfortable, even a little nostalgic.
When they suddenly lost their tutor before, Yotsuba hadn't been happy at all. But now everything had been resolved perfectly.
"Umu. All thanks to Itsuki," Miku said softly.
In her eyes, the reason Sakurai Saki agreed to come back must have something to do with Itsuki.
As for Nino, other than causing trouble, she hadn't been helpful at all.
"Hmph." Nino snorted but didn't say anything else.
( ̄へ ̄)
Itsuki's doing? Sorry, not really. If anything, my relationship with Hayasaka-san was a bigger factor.
Also, I whispered quite a few sweet words while lying next to someone, too.
"What are you snorting for?" Miku immediately turned her aim toward Nino.
"What's it to you? I'm happy, so I snort, what, not allowed?" Nino grabbed the cream puff on the table and stuffed it into her mouth.
"Nino-baka," Miku muttered.
"Miku-baka," Nino shot back instantly.
Seeing these two about to start another fight, Ichika quickly tried to stop them. "Everything's been resolved already. Can't we all just go back to how things were?"
"Yeah, the Nakano family is supposed to be five sisters united, right?" Itsuki also stepped in to mediate.
The atmosphere last week had been truly cold, and she didn't want to go through that again.
"No big deal. I've beaten Miku too many times. I don't even feel like arguing with her anymore," Nino said meaningfully.
"I'll just run away from home too! Make her come find me!" Miku pouted. She said that, then got up and headed for the door.
"Hey… Miku, don't be like that, okay?" Itsuki quickly pulled her back.
"Such a child, Miku, still sulking," Nino added fuel to the fire. "Haizz, living with Saki-kun for a whole week, eating the food he cooks every day, sleeping under the same roof…"
Miku turned her head and stared at her with a cold gaze, saying nothing.
The night Nino ran away from home, she had searched for her all night.
And now Nino could actually say something like that?
"Nino, shut your mouth!" Ichika was truly angry now.
"Miku searched for you the whole night. At first, we didn't even know you went to Sakurai-san's house, and you even turned off your phone…" Yotsuba also whispered reproachfully.
Hearing that, Nino realized she'd gone too far.
"Sorry, I didn't mean anything bad by that," Nino quickly stood up, ran over to Miku, and hugged her tightly, apologizing sincerely: "I'm sorry… I'm really sorry."
"You're always like this," Miku replied coldly.
"Yes, I'm an idiot! A big idiot! A huge, huge idiot!" Nino panicked.
"…!" Miku pushed her away, then ran straight upstairs.
A few seconds later——
Bang! The door slammed shut.
"She's really mad," Itsuki covered her face.
Nino had just returned after her runaway incident, and now it was Miku's turn to get mad! What should they do now!?
Sakurai-san, hurry and come up with something!
I'll do anything, just stop them from fighting! I can't handle this house anymore!
"Yeah. Miku might have a gentle personality, but of course she'd get mad. Being bragged at right to her face like that…" Yotsuba added.
"Nino…" Ichika sighed gloomily.
Nino looked at the three of them, pointed at herself, and said, "You're saying it's my fault?"
"Whose else?" ×3
"Alright alright, I know I was wrong. I'll go apologize, okay?" Nino said as she climbed up the stairs.
She arrived in front of Miku's room door.
She knocked lightly a few times, her voice serious: "I know I was wrong, Miku, can you forgive me? Please, don't be mad anymore."
"I… I'm not mad." Miku's voice came out choked, as if she was about to cry.
"Are you… crying?" Nino could hear the trembling in her voice, panicking she said: "Don't cry, I… I didn't do it on purpose. You crying like this, what am I supposed to do…"
A few minutes passed.
During that time, Nino kept apologizing — but the more Miku listened, the harder she cried.
A few more minutes later, the sound of crying finally began to calm down.
Miku opened the door and wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes.
Her voice hoarse: "Why are you still standing here?"
"I'm sorry, Miku… I really didn't mean it." Nino was practically about to kneel down.
No, it should be dogeza!
She bent down and sat properly on the floor in a dogeza position.
"I… I'm begging you, please forgive me."
"Don't do this, I'm not mad anymore." Miku hurried to help her stand up.
She was mad, but not to the point of making someone kneel to apologize.
Nino hugged her tightly, rubbing her cheek against Miku's face, letting out a sigh of relief: "I thought you were really mad at me. If that were true, I wouldn't know what to do."
"...Don't do that again next time." Miku was silent for a few seconds before speaking.
"You mean the thing with Sakurai-san?"
"Not just that. Also the thing about running away from home." Miku said worriedly, "I once ran away from home before too, that's why I got so angry this time. I was scared something would really happen to you."
"Eh?" Nino widened her eyes in surprise.
She… didn't remember anything.
"It was when mom was in the hospital…"
"Six years ago?"
"Umu. When mom was transferred to the hospital in Kyoto, she said she was going to remarry dad. Back then I couldn't accept it, so I left the hospital." Miku recalled, "I remember very clearly, the sky was gloomy that day."
"I don't have any memory of that at all." Nino said, then accidentally teased, "But Miku, for you to talk this much in one breath, that actually surprised me more."
"Ưm~" Miku pouted, her cheeks puffing up like a little hamster.
Miku: ( ,,⩌'⤙'⩌,,)
"Alright alright, let's stop here. Sakurai-san has already agreed to be our tutor, so everything's settled!" Seeing that Miku was no longer mad, Nino finally relaxed inside.
"But Hayasaka-san is really amazing. She holds an important place in Sakurai-san's heart. Just the two of us alone won't be enough to win." Nino sighed, "Who told Hayasaka-san to be the one who came first? We're just the ones who came after."
"I was clearly the one who came first…" Miku mumbled softly, "That idiot Saki-kun, he forgot everything."
"Huh?" Nino didn't hear clearly.
"It's nothing."
...
There were still two days left before the opening ceremony, and the student council had to go to school early to handle some work.
Early in the morning, Sakurai Saki carried his bag, holding his phone while heading toward Shuchiin Academy.
On the phone, Chika was complaining:
[Spring break isn't even over yet! Why do we have to go to school? Working for the student council is such a pain!]
The reason she said that was because Chika had originally planned to go on a date with Sakurai Saki during spring break.
But because her family rules were quite strict, she didn't have free time every day.
And the result was—
After finally getting one free day, she had to go to school. Her mood at that moment could be easily imagined.
