Chapter 116 - Chapter 116: Reporter

After having dismantled Mira and Erza without so much as lifting a finger, Cana enjoyed her seat, or in this case, my lap, until she fell asleep mid-drinking. Softly shaking my head, I carried Cana to one of the rooms in the back to rest before returning to the guild hall, where I got to witness Gramps beating some sense into Natsu and Elfman for fighting.

"Behave, you two; a reporter for Sorcerers Magazine is visiting tomorrow. I can't have you two idiots giving us a bad name." With two massive fists, Gramps stood between Natsu and Elfman, his expression stern while they rubbed their heads. "But that's tomorrow, though, Gramps. Ouch!" "Huh, talking back, are we, Natsu? You've been taking after Laxus and Cooper too much, it seems."

"Relax, Gramps, hitting them will only make them more stupid." Approaching the trio, I brushed aside Gramps's fists, causing them to return to normal size as he folded his arms. "I don't know, big bro, Natsu is already stupid, maybe a few more hits will make him smarter?" "Oi, what did you say, pervert!?"

While Natsu and Gray got into an argument, hurling insults at each other, Elfman smartly sneaked away under the chaos. "These brats." Chuckling at Gramps' frustration, I plopped onto a nearby chair and kicked my feet onto the table.

Watching Gramps deal with Natsu and Gray, the lights were suddenly turned off, causing everyone to frown. 'Did someone mess with the lacrima fuse box?' Before anyone could discern what the problem was, the curtains to the stage were pulled open, revealing Mira standing with a beautiful dress and a microphone in hand.

"Oh, Mira's singing!?" "It's been months since she last sang for us!" "Everyone, shut the hell up, Mirajane is singing!" "Whoa!! Go Mirjane!" "Love you, Mirajane!" "Show us more cleavage!"

Eyeing Macao with a twitching expression, I softly sighed and ignored his middle-aged horniness and shifted my gaze back to Mira, who cleared her throat.

"~With you gone, I brush the desk.

As the shadow drops, I'm alone again today.

Looking up at the sky, I pray.

Knowing you're under this same sky.~"

As Mira's soft and soothing voice echoes throughout the guild, everyone, including Erza, begins to hum along; she was the Demon, but her voice was solely that of a Fairy.

"~At times when you're shaking with tears.

And times when you seem to be engulfed by the darkness.

Don't forget...

You always have...

You always have a place to return to.

And people that are waiting for you.~"

Closing my eyes, her voice soothed my mind and caressed my heart as I entered a state of tranquility I rarely ever enter. It's the kind of state where all of my worries, stress, and burdens are dissolved; I wasn't worrying about the guild members, the stress about growing stronger, nor was I burdened with the thoughts of protecting everyone… I was purely living in the moment. It was peaceful.

"Oi! You stepped on my foot!" "Tch, maybe your foot shouldn't have been there!" "Bastard, you want to fight!?" "Tsk, bring it on!" Instantly, that moment was shattered by two powerful voices, causing my eyes to snap open as I glared at the two Dragon Slayers responsible.

I wasn't the only one who had broken out of the trance Mira's voice was capable of inflicting; several others were just as upset as I was. However, the most upset was undoubtedly Mira.

'Tsk, brats.' Folding my arms, I glared at the two before leaning back, letting Mira deal with them.

Punching each other and forcing each other back, Natsu and Gajeel took a deep breath, releasing a fire and iron dragon roar, respectively; however, just before the two attacks collided, a figure suddenly appeared before them, followed by an oppressive wave of magic power.

Raising her arms, Mira stopped both of their attacks before dispelling them with a blast of darkness magic from her palms. With the two attacks gone, Mira's figure was in full display, and she hadn't just transformed into her satan soul; she was in her Halphas variant. Given her sheer strength when in that form, she only uses it when her life is in danger… Or when she's furious.

"C-Crap." Seeing Natsu freeze in fear, he clearly understood what was about to happen. "You two. For interrupting me. Your punishment is… Death!" With a vicious roar, Mira released her magic power without restraint, causing the guild to violently shake before she lunged at the two Dragon Slayers; Gajeel stupidly tried to fight her while Natsu gave up and fled.

"Huh!? Where do you think you're going, Natsu!?" "Yeah, punk, we're not letting you leave so easily!" "You interrupted Mirajane!" Banding together, everyone blocked the entrance, forcing Natsu to face Mira, who was currently demolishing Gajeel. "Happy, help!" "Hmm? Sorry, Natsu, Cana gave me a fishy!"

With Happy having betrayed Natsu for a fish, he gave up on escaping and dashed at Mira, who then proceeded to completely dismantle Natsu with rather vicious attacks.

'Haven't seen Mira this vicious in years.' Whistling softly, everyone cheered for Mira from the sidelines while Gajeel and Natsu desperately tried to survive her onslaught. Unfortunately, someone just had to come and ruin the fun.

"STOP!" Gramps, having used Giant magic to significantly increase his size, stood over everyone while his voice reverberated deeply within us all, causing everyone to freeze. Once he had everyone's attention, he flooded the guild with his magic power, scaring everyone while his eyes narrowed. "STOP."

Though before he could do anything else, I leaped upwards, punching Gramps' chin, knocking him back a step while I released my own magic power, nearly matching his own. 'Tsk, he's still got more magic power.' I was stronger than Gramps overall, given that as he got older, his physical capabilities had deteriorated from his prime, but the same couldn't be said with magic power.

"Guild fight!" Grabbing Erza, who had been watching Mira beat the two up with a smirk, I tossed her into the guild members. Creating a brief moment of silence before the whole guild descended into chaos, everyone fighting each other, a very Fairy Tail scene.

As I watched, I was punched to the ground, causing me to grunt in pain as I smirked while looking upwards at Gramps, who rubbed his chin. "What happened to not fighting an old man?" "Hehe, this and that are different. We're not going to be fighting for real, so does it really matter?"

"Who says we're not going to be fighting for real? You've been misbehaving quite frequently, son." Stepping forward, Gramps clenched his fist and punched my side, causing me to dig my feet into the ground as I outstretched my arms, barely managing to stop his fist.

'Tsk, even if he's old, he ain't a Wizard Saint for nothing.' I wasn't holding back much, but even so, I was still barely able to stop his attack. "Hehe, good, you can't punish a misbehaving brat if you're weak, Gramps!" Pushing his fist back, I lunged forward, slamming into his stomach like a cannonball, only for him to slap me out of the air.

'Hehe, so fun!'

The next day arrived, and while the interior of the guild was still a mess, the reporter from Sorcerers Magazine arrived, giving Gramps a headache as he didn't even try to save face, having given up on getting Fairy Tail a good name.

"Even if you're not going to try, shouldn't you, the Master, at least look presentable?" Leaning over the bar, I glanced at Gramps, who was looking at the reporter interviewing Reedus while drinking alcohol. "I-It doesn't hic m-matter. O-Our place is a pig hic sty." "Yeah, it is. Sorry about that, Gramps. Natsu and Gajeel made me upset, and I wanted to blow off some steam."

Wryly smiling as I sort of was at fault for incentivizing the guild fight yesterday, I helped Mira at the bar, doing my part to look professional as a way to make up for my actions. Of course, Mira didn't let such an opportunity go by, and for the next few hours, she was behaving extremely clumsily, using every excuse to fall into me.

During that time, Jason, the reporter, starts interviewing more of the famous guild members. He begins with Natsu, who punched him in the face, and then moves on to Elfman, who starts spouting a bunch of manly nonsense, causing Mira to sigh. Afterward, Jason approached Shadow Gear, asking questions about some dumb love triangle.

"If anything, Levy is fucking them both." "Big bro!" "What? Would a woman say no to a reverse harem?" Earning a slap on the back from Mira, who looked at me in disbelief and amusement, I poured Laki a cup of wine while she wrote some stuff down in a notebook.

As for Jason, he continued on to Gramps, who had drunk himself until he passed out mid-interview, causing Mira and me to deeply sigh. "You've got to help fix this, big bro, you're at fault." "Ugh, I know, I will." While this was going on, Lucy was following him around in a bunny suit that looked good on her, even though it was too flashy.

"Is Lucy trying to become an adult actress or something? She's showing an awful lot of skin." "Fufu, no, she's just that desperate for an interview… Should I wear that bunny suit, big bro?" "No comment."

Yo, earlier in the story, I was getting called out for having Mirajane transform into a chameleon when she should only transform into demons. Now, I don't really care, and I'm sure most of you don't either. HOWEVER! I found a scene in the anime where Mirajane transformed into a gecko! So, ha! That means Mirajane can transform into a chameleon!

Ps. Also, how the hell do you guys find my story? Went searching through the fanfic section of webnovel, and it was three-letter words Cooper is very attracted to.
