Chapter 674 - Chapter 536

The morning sun hung low over Symphoria Harbor, casting long golden fingers across the coral-stone dock. The air carried the mingled scents of salt, drying fish, and the faint sweetness of flowering vines that climbed the harbor walls. Seagulls wheeled overhead, their cries sharp and demanding, circling the impossible vessel that had surfaced in their waters.

The Dreadnought Thalassa dominated the harbor like a sleeping leviathan, its black hull gleaming with moisture, its ancient lines a stark contrast against the coral-stone masonry of the port city. A crowd of Minks had gathered on the dock, their furred faces a tapestry of shock and awe. Some clutched fishing nets, others carried market baskets, and all of them stared with wide eyes at the impossible vessel.

A muskrat Mink at the front of the crowd squinted, his whiskers twitching. "Is that—is that Tori?"

The hatch hissed open, and the crew began to file out. Barren Brahnn emerged first, his massive brown bear form filling the doorway, his small black eyes blinking in the bright sunlight. Roan Rokkoh followed close behind, his raccoon features twisted in a mixture of pride and nervous energy. Tori Torte brought up the rear, her river otter form sleek and adept as she stepped onto the deck.

The muskrat Mink's voice carried across the water, sharp with recognition. "Is that you, Tori?"

Tori's whiskers twitched. She looked away, rubbing the back of her neck, her words coming out in a hesitant mumble. "Yeah, it's—it's me. We had a bit of a—"

She never finished the sentence.

Vesta burst from the hatch behind her, her rainbow hair streaming like a banner in the sea breeze. She rushed to the edge of the deck, hanging over the railing with the enthusiasm of a child spotting candy in a shop window. "Hi! I'm Vesta!" She paused, her bright violet eyes going wide. "Oh my Gosh!"

She bounced on the balls of her feet, her hands clasped together in delight. "You are soooo cuuuute!"

Eliane materialized beside her, peeking over the railing with Jelly bouncing next to her, his form rippling with excitement. "Bloop! Adventure!" Jelly chirped, his voice carrying the bright enthusiasm of a creature who had never met a situation he didn't want to explore.

Eliane beamed, her eyes sweeping across the gathered crowd. "There are so many of them! Like, look at all the fluffy tails and—" She gasped, pointing at a particularly fluffy Mink child. "Oh my gosh, that one has spots!"

Jelly bounced higher. "Spotted Minks! Spotted Minks! Spotted—"

Jannali stepped through the hatch next, and the energy on the deck shifted.

She gasped, her hand flying to her head as she buckled forward. Her fingers gripped both sides of her skull, her knuckles going white. The laughter and chatter around her faded as everyone turned to watch.

Vesta's voice was sharp with concern. "Jannali? Are you—"

Tori reached out, her otter paw extended toward the woman's shoulder. "Are you—"

Jannali's head snapped up, her eyes glazed and distant. Her gaze locked onto something invisible in the distance, something to the West that only she could see.

Tori swallowed hard, her paw hovering in the air. "Is your friend—"

Barren reached out, his massive bear paw extending toward Jannali's shoulder with gentle concern. Before he could make contact, a hand gripped his wrist.

Barren looked over. Atlas stood beside him, his rust-red fur gleaming, his blue sapphire eyes fixed on Jannali with the patience of someone who had seen this before. "Best not to touch her when she's like this."

Roan's voice carried a note of genuine curiosity. "Does she do this often?"

Atlas shrugged, his expression unreadable. "Often enough."

The hatch continued to disgorge the crew. Bō-Zak emerged next, his long wooden pipe trailing smoke, his gold-flecked eyes studying the harbor with the lazy interest of a cat watching birds. Aurélie followed, her silver hair loose and her steel-gray eyes sweeping the dock with professional assessment. Sanza Kaplan Figarland bounded out behind her, his small frame bristling with barely contained energy, his bamboo practice sword clutched in one hand.

Ember appeared next, her neon-pink hair in gravity-defying buns, her mismatched eyes scanning the dock with surprising calm. Bianca followed close behind, her grease-stained overalls worn over a floral dress, her magnifying goggles pushed up on her forehead. Charlie Leonard Wooley emerged with his pith helmet firmly in place, his khaki shirt rumpled and his satchel bulging with scrolls. Galit Varuna brought up the rear, his long neck bent in that characteristic S-curve, his emerald eyes cataloging every detail of the harbor.
