Marya turned toward the direction of the Astralux, her golden eyes fixed on the unseen destination. Her Kenbunshoku Haki pulsed outward, a wave of perception that swept across the landscape. She found the structure—a massive citadel perched on the edge of the plateau, its ancient walls gleaming with the patina of centuries.
She looked at Hino and Cohei, jerking her head toward the direction. "The Astralux is this way?"
Cohei nodded, "Yes. Just follow the road, and it will take you there."
Marya nodded, her gaze shifting to Jannali. The oracle stood frozen, her eyes fixed on the horizon, her lips moving in a silent chant. Marya walked toward her, her steps measured and deliberate.
Jelly jumped on Sanza's shoulder, his voice bright with confusion. "Wee time again!"
Sanza rushed after her, his voice rising with concern. "What is it, big sis?"
Marya stood in front of Jannali, her gaze fixed on the oracle's distant stare. "She stopped."
Sanza's brow furrowed, dropping to a whisper. "You're right."
Jannali's lips moved, her voice a low murmur. "The drums are... the drums beat louder..."
Marya placed a hand on Jannali's shoulder, then on Sanza's. "Let's wrap this up." She paused, her gaze fixed on the distant citadel. "So we can find out what's going on."
Sanza nodded, his expression determined. "Right."
They disappeared into mist.
Hino chuckled, his massive frame shaking with amusement. "She is not one to wait around."
Cohei nodded, with dry humor. "Shall we?"
Hino nodded, his silver-grey fur rippling as he began to transform. "We shall."
---
They arrived at the Astralux, the Lost Citadel, its ancient walls pierced the plateau's ceiling like the calcified ribs of an extinct deity. he monolith sprawled endlessly across the dark, its surface scarred with intricate petroglyphs that writhed under the random streaks of electricity. Lightning struck the ground around it in a constant, rhythmic pattern, the bolts leaving permanent scorch marks in the charred earth. A ring of blackened stone surrounded the citadel, the result of centuries of electrical bombardment.
Marya, Sanza, Jelly, and Jannali stood at the edge of the charred circle, their eyes fixed on the impossible structure before them. Lightning forked from the sky, striking the ground in a pattern that appeared almost deliberate.
Hino and Cohei arrived, their Sulong forms dissolving as they touched down. Hino's voice was flat, with awe, never quite gotting used to the sight. "That is one of the many mysteries of the universe."
Cohei nodded, his emerald eyes fixed on the lightning. "The storms have been here since before anyone can remember. Some say they are the breath of the earth itself."
Jannali started moving toward the entrance, her trance unbroken. Hino called out, his voice sharp with warning. "Hey! You are—"
Marya rushed to catch up with her, Jelly and Sanza on her heels. Just as Jannali was about to cross the threshold, Marya placed a hand on her shoulder.
The curtain of lightning peeled back like a curtain, the bolts parting to reveal a clear path. Hino and Cohei hurried to be on their heels, just barely stepping through in time.
Hino's voice was warm with approval. "It appears your companion is blessed."
Marya smirked, her voice dry. "She may see it more as a curse."
---
They stepped into the massive structure of the Astralux, the Lost Citadel. The air was cool and still, with the scent of ancient stone and the faint, metallic tang of something that had been sealed for centuries. The walls were covered in carvings, their surfaces worn smooth by time.
They followed Jannali through the maze of corridors, their footsteps echoing in the silence. She stopped in front of two massive, intact Poneglyphs, their surfaces gleaming.
Jannali took an audible breath.
Her trance shattered.
She swayed on her feet, her body limp, her eyes fluttering. Marya rushed to her, holding her upright to keep her from falling. Jannali leaned against her, her voice a low groan. "Bloody hell."
Marya smirked, warm with relief. "Welcome back. The wind has been giving us the grand tour."
Jannali groaned, her hand coming up to her head. "I feel like I've been dragged through a gutter." She found her balance, her legs steadying beneath her. "Where the bloody hell are we?"
Marya jerked her head toward the Poneglyphs. "Come on. I'll catch you up."
---
Hino and Cohei stood in front of the Poneglyphs, their eyes fixed on the ancient inscriptions. Sanza stood beside them, his small frame trembling with barely contained excitement. Jelly bounced on his shoulder, his eyes wide with wonder.
Sanza's voice was bright, the excitement of a child finding the answer to a question he didn't know he was asking. "What do they say, big sis?"
Hino's brow furrowed, "You can read this?"
Jannali nodded, with flat confidence. "Yeah, mate. Part of the third eye and all."
Marya and Jannali stood in front of the Poneglyphs, their eyes scanning the ancient text. Marya read aloud, her voice flat and measured:
"O ye Heavens that burned in the First Age, move and show yourselves as Imu and Nika once walked together in unity."
"Through the opened Abyss of Lythe, the great Archei were summoned into the realm of manifest matter."
"Imu opened the pact with the Twelve Archei: Era, Eons, Set, Uris, Cue, Oas, Are, Emit, Thye, Aeth, Aura, and Fibi."
"The dragon-serpents, the Hitotsume—the Left Eyes of the Archei—descended to consume the Vitriol Womb and drink dry the Anima Mundi."
"A fiery pact was wrought: eleven Sovereign Devil Fruits were forged as Sealed Vessels to entrap the devouring eyes within the earth."
"And Thye remains bound in the fires beneath the Great Red Line."
"Nika, alongside the Allied Lineages, sealed the Gate of Lythe forever."
"The Hitotsume remain trapped within the earth, unable to return to the true bodies of the Archei."
Cohei whistled low, his emerald eyes wide with shock. Hino shifted his weight, his dark voice flat and disturbed. "Truly disturbing."
Everyone turned to Jannali, who stood awestruck in front of the second Poneglyph. Her eyes were wide, her hands trembling at her sides.
Sanza tilted his head, his voice dropping to a whisper. "What is it?"
Jannali's voice was barely audible. "It is real."
She turned to Marya, her eyes blazing with the fire as she just found the missing piece of a puzzle. "The wind spoke the truth. You are the one."
Marya's brow furrowed, her voice flat. "The one for what?"
Jannali gestured at the Poneglyph. "Read it."
Marya stepped forward, her eyes scanning the ancient text. She cursed, her voice sharp with shock. "Holy shit."
Sanza rushed to stand next to her, his voice bright with urgency. "What is it, big sis?"
Marya swallowed, her voice flat and measured as she read aloud:
"O ye Heavens, behold the Choros-Anemos (The Wind-Soul Clock), which burns with the living breath of the world."
"Move and show yourselves only to one with the blood with three eyes, and three visions, who hears fully the truth of the world that once was."
"The silver rings shall spin with blinding speed through the 72 callings of the Breeze, opening a trail concealed."
"The Inner Aura shall strike the earth, projecting the Sol-Path that blossoms and runs deep beneath the watery depths."
"The path guides the seeker to find the items lost for the Ritual of the Sun God's Allies to open what was once eternally sealed."
"Locked within, it remains dormant until volatile breath kindles its silver rings."
Hino's voice cut through the silence, flat and practical. "And what exactly does that mean?"
Jannali's voice was quiet, as she just found the path to her life's work. "That if we find the Choros-Anemos, then we will find the last of the relics to complete the ritual and open the gate."
Marya looked at Jannali, her golden eyes narrowing with suspicion. "So that is what you were looking for?"
Jannali blushed, looking away. Marya smirked, dry with amusement.
Hino's voice cut through the tension, flat and practical. "Does it say where this Choros-Anemos is?"
Everyone's heads whipped around when Jannali's trance returned. Her eyes glazed over, her third eye blazing with ethereal light. Her voice echoed, multiplied and resonant, as if a dozen voices spoke in perfect unison:
"The drums... the drums of liberation... they have..."
The ground began to shake. Dust fell from the ceiling, and a crack snaked across the stone floor, splitting the ancient stones with a sound like a wound opening.
Hino's voice cut through the chaos, sharp and commanding. "We need to go!"
Marya nodded, grabbing Jannali by the arm as she ran for the door. Sanza and Jelly followed close behind, their feet pounding against the ancient stone.
They burst out into the open air, buckling over as a deafening resonance of B♭7 emanated from everywhere at once. The sound was impossible, terrible—a note that vibrated in the very bones of the earth.
When the silence came, it was absolute.
They looked up. The lightning around the building had stopped, its constant rhythm broken for the first time in centuries.
Marya's voice cut through the silence, sharp and commanding. "Let's keep moving—"
Hino, Cohei, Sanza, Jelly, and Marya grabbed Jannali and ran to the other side of the charred circle just in time.
A blinding flash streaked across the sky, forcing them to cover their eyes.
When the light faded, they looked up.
Sanza pointed, his voice rising with wonder. "Big sis..."
Jelly's voice carried a note of alarm. "Uh oh..."
Marya looked over, her eyes widening as she watched a massive wave forming on the horizon. It was impossible, a wall of water that seemed to stretch from the sky to the sea.
Cohei's voice was flat with disbelief. "What is that?"
Hino gestured, his voice sharp with alarm. "Look. The reef..." The Eopolis Barrier Reef lay bare, revealing the ancient city lost to time.
Feeling drops of water, they all looked up as sheets of rain began to fall, thick and heavy, soaking through their clothes.
A shadow loomed overhead, followed by the formation of a massive falling landmass. An island was descending from the sky, its surface covered in the white clouds and ancient architecture of the Sky Islands.
Marya cursed, her hand reaching for Nisshoku. Jannali's voice cut through the chaos, flat with disbelief. "You don't actually think you can cut that, mate."
Marya shrugged, her voice flat. "Be ready to move." She leaped into the air, her form dissolving into mist.
Jannali cursed, her voice rising with alarm. "Move! Move to where?!"
Marya took a breath, reaching for the power of the Celestial Omen. The transformation was instant and complete. Her silver-feathered robes appeared, shimmering with celestial lamination. Her hair became a spinning cyclone of rainbow strands, each hue vibrating at the frequency of an outer realm. Her eyes blazed with blinding silver fire.
Deafening horns bellowed as she transformed, and she swung Nisshoku, sending a massive arc of haki slicing through the air. The falling sky island paused, its descent halted for a single, impossible moment.
Then it exploded into dust and falling rain, the fragments showering down like mud.
People began to scream as they fell through the sky, their bodies tumbling toward the earth.
Marya transformed again, this time into her awakened devil fruit form. The tripartite halo appeared above her head, and nine Grim Reapers materialized around her, their forms blazing with celestial light. She sent them streaking through the sky, their hands reaching out to catch the falling survivors.
Panting, she watched as white streaks of Sulong Minks flashed through the sky, their bodies moving like lightning as they caught people mid-air.
Jannali and Sanza rode Gosan, the massive Hatzegopteryx's wings beating against the rain as they snatched falling survivors from the air.
Hino and Cohei moved like streaks of light, their Sulong forms blazing as they caught people one by one.
Marya hovered in the air, her golden eyes fixed on the chaos below. Her voice was flat, commanding. "Keep going! We're not done yet!"
The sky was falling, the sea was rising, and the world was breaking.
But they were going to see the first day of the New Dawn.
