"V-Viola..." he weakly called out, his voice sounding far less composed than he wanted.
"Yes?" Viola answered, continuing to look straight into his eyes.
There was something dangerously calm about her expression, which somehow made the situation even scarier for Ezekiel. Not that he was planning to escape.
Honestly, he easily could, breaking free from this situation would not be hard for him at all.
But for some reason... that thought never even crossed his mind.
Instead, Ezekiel nervously looked away. Looking directly at Viola's face right now genuinely felt fatal.
"Y-You're really close."
"Oh." Viola blinked, then tilted her head slightly. "But I'm your girlfriend now."
The words landed like a critical hit. Ezekiel malfunctioned. His face somehow turned even redder.
"You can't just casually say things like that!"
"Why?" Viola asked honestly. "Am I not?"
Her straightforwardness was genuinely unfair. Ezekiel immediately covered part of his face.
