He thought while breathing heavily, 'I shouldn't use it until I've mastered this, it puts a huge toll on both my chakra and body.'
He tried to get up but his legs weren't moving.
Then he looked in Yuki's direction and was surprised by what he was witnessing.
Yuki was fighting Kurotsuchi and Akatsuchi at the same time, while Kazuki was knocked out from chakra exhaustion.
He somehow managed to stand up but the next second he coughed up blood and fainted.
After a few seconds Kazuki woke up, the first thing he sensed after waking up was Yuki, her chakra was almost gone.
He looked in the direction of Yuki. She was quite far but Kazuki could see that she was fighting Kurotsuchi and Akatsuchi at the same time. Kurotsuchi was injured, with blood coming from her arms and legs but Yuki was barely able to stand on her legs and Akatsuchi was about to hit her on the face with his Rock Fist Jutsu.
Kazuki's face went pale, his eyes widened, and his mind went into panic.
He was very far from her, even if he tries to run or flicker, he won't reach her in time, nor does he have enough time to perform a jutsu.
Many thoughts raced in his mind in just a second, 'N-no, this can't be happening, not her, anybody but her.'
At that moment many memories crossed his mind, when they were eating ramen together, when she saved him from Hayato's bullying and when they sat together at the top of Iwagakure enjoying the view.
Then a certain memory flashed before his eyes.
Kazuki and Yuki were standing at the top of the Hokage rock faces, enjoying the view and talking about different things.
Yuki asked him, "Do you have any dreams? Something you want to achieve? Like, my dream is to become the head of the Senju clan and bring it back to its former glory. Are you aiming to be the Hokage?"
Kazuki thought for a few moments and replied with a smile, "Nah. I don't have a big dream like that, let's go with this. When you become head of the Senju clan, I'll be your right hand man and help you reach your dream while also protecting you."
Yuki was a bit surprised, and her eyes widened a little, then she turned her face away and blushed.
She whispered slowly, "I'd like that."
Then Kazuki came back to reality and saw the event happening in front of him, tears came out of his eyes as he thought, 'Why her? All I wanted was to protect her. Why's this world so cruel.'
Suddenly those tears were replaced by blood and Kazuki's eyes turned crimson red with 2 tomoe in each eye.
'I won't let her die! I'll protect her at any cost.' He thought.
Kazuki enveloped his sword in fire chakra flow and threw it towards Akatsuchi's hand like a spear with astonishing speed and precision.
The sword pierced Akatsuchi's hand in an instant, his hand was split apart from his arm because of the flames.
"AARRGHH!" Akatsuchi screamed in pain and horror as he saw his left hand was not attached to his arm anymore.
Kazuki flickered towards his sword and picked it up, then he flickered towards Kurotsuchi, who was still in shock by what had happened.
Kurotsuchi looked Kazuki in the eye and was terrified after seeing the crimson eyes that she had only heard about until now, she walked backwards in horror but she tripped and fell down.
Kazuki was about to pierce her heart with the sword when he remembered something and stopped himself.
'Wait, what am I doing? I can't kill her, she's the future Fourth Tsuchikage. I can't be consumed by hatred like that.' Kazuki thought.
Kazuki looked both Kurotsuchi and Akatsuchi in the eye and used a Genjutsu on them.
They both fainted.
Then Kazuki flickered towards Deidara, who was knocked out and thought, "I'm sorry, but you are too dangerous to be left alive. If I had fought you a few years later, that would have been hell for me.'
Kazuki took out his sword and placed it above Deidara's heart and said, "Rest in peace," before piercing the heart of one of the iconic villains of his favorite anime.
Then Kazuki walked towards Yuki, who was watching all this with a surprised expression.
Kazuki said, "Are you okay, Yuki?"
She replied, "Yeah, but I don't think I can walk on my own."
"I'll carry you then." Kazuki replied.
Yuki smiled a little, but that smile faded when she saw him make a wind clone.
She thought, 'Seriously, a wind clone?' and pouted.
The wind clone walked towards Ryuma and carried him on its back.
Kazuki bent down and gently lifted Yuki into his arms.
Yuki was surprised and her face turned a bit red.
Kazuki asked, "Do you feel uncomfortable? I can carry you on my back like Ryuma if you want.
"No, it's fine." Yuki replied and rested her head near his shoulders.
Kazuki ran for a few minutes and stopped in front of a mountain, he put a hole in it using earth style and blocked its entrance with rocks.
Once inside, Kazuki put both Ryuma and Yuki down and sat beside Yuki.
There was a moment of silence before Yuki asked, "So, you finally awakened Sharingan, huh?"
"Yeah, but I don't know if I should feel happy or sad about it." Kazuki replied.
Yuki said. "It's a good thing that you are even stronger now."
Kazuki said, "Yeah, but at what cost? You almost died over there."
"I'm sorry." Yuki replied after a short pause.
"It wasn't your fault alone, I was at fault too. We both used excessive chakra, we have to understand that just because we have more chakra than others doesn't mean we should waste it, we have to improve our skills that doesn't require chakra as well to fight against foes who are weaker." Kazuki said.
Yuki nodded and said, "I was wondering why you decided to spare their lives and only killed Deidara."
Kazuki said, "What do you think will happen if I kill the Tsuchikage's only granddaughter?"
Yuki thought for a few seconds and replied, "People of Iwagakure will start hating you, but your reputation in Konoha would greatly increase."
Kazuki nodded and said, "That's right, but look at it like this, people of Iwa will not only start hating me after that, but their hate for Konoha will increase as well, which will increase the chance of another war happening. The five nations are in a period of peace but they only need a reason to fight again and I don't want to be that reason."
Yuki nodded, but she couldn't help but think that there was one more reason behind Kazuki's decision that he was hiding.
