After a brief rest, Isabella conjured two brightly colored cocktails from seemingly nowhere. She casually handed one to Daniel before taking a sip herself, enjoying the moment as though life were incredibly peaceful.
Daniel took the glass but did not drink immediately. Instead, he asked, "Isabella, can you tell me why you chose to stay here? I doubt it's just for this lake."
Upon hearing Daniel's question, Isabella simply smiled lightly.
"I admit, you're a very clever man."
"In truth, it's not that I wanted to stay here forever, but rather that I can't continue moving forward."
With that, a trace of sorrow appeared between her brows.
"Perhaps you won't believe it, but my strength as a Fake God is actually not very strong."
"If I were to keep going, I don't think I could resist the corruption from desire."
