Keveelsky wore his work clothes and went downstairs. As usual, the breakfast was ready, and everything was his favorite. What he didn't know was that they shared the same taste with Havila food included. So by making her favorites, she is unknowingly making his too. She had planned to ask him, but decided to observe the first week when she cooked randomly. That's how she noticed their similar preference.
Havila was sitting at the table browsing on her laptop, waiting for him. When she spotted him, she greeted 'good morning' and continued what she was doing. He came over, said 'good morning to you too', kissed her head, and leaned his chin on the crook of her neck. He looked at the data on the computer and asked, "What are you looking at? I don't seem to understand a thing." She answered depressingly. " I had made a promise to miss security to help her solve her grandfather's death. She already gave me the book, so I can't go back on my promise."
He smiled, looking at her cute face, and asked, "By Miss Security, do you mean the chief's daughter, and the gift is that first edition criminal psychology book?" She continues unconsciously,"... that was supposed to be mine in the first place. A deal is a deal, though." Then she abruptly stops talking and raises her head to look him in the eyes and asks, " How do you know about all these?" He flicked her forehead and replied, " I was there when you two were competing. You were so sneaky. She thought she was setting you up while she was doing the opposite."
She was embarrassed after being seen through, so she asked carefully, " So, if you heard everything, how come you still agreed to marry me?" He answered truthfully so that they could close this chapter once and for all, " My grandfather lured me, and also the girl I was supposed to marry was not ready yet." His simple and careless answer hurt Havila, so she asked, " If she is ready in the years to come, will you still keep your promise and marry her?"
Keveelsky shook his head, smiling and answered with a question, "Would you let your husband marry another woman? She answered defiantly, " Of course not." He burst into laughter that reverberated in the whole building and tickled her heart. He said lovingly, " Then I won't keep the promise. I believe she has someone she cares more about. I caged her without my knowledge and have decided to free her. Me paying her expenses all those years, and her education is already enough to pay her back for saving me back then. So my dear wife, don't be jealous and stay in peace."
She punched him on the shoulder and defended herself, saying, " Who is jealous? Look at me, I am definitely better than everyone else, why should I be jealous?" Keveelsky's smile widened. He saluted and said jokingly, " Okay, Miss Narcissist." They then had their breakfast, and he prepared to leave for work. Looking at her, who seemed bored at home, he suggested, " If you are not busy, you can accompany me to work and act as my PA for the time being instead of being bored at home.. I happen to lack a PA, and the company has invested in many projects and lacks funds to hire one for me."
He winked at her while saying this. Havila stood up hurriedly because she was already blushing. She ran up the stairs and shouted, "Wait for me." She only took ten minutes to change her clothes as she had already bathed, then they went to work as a couple. The employees were shocked when they saw their president with a more beautiful woman than Miss Tamar coming to work together. They were even closer as that woman rode on the front passenger seat. Nobody has ever sat there, not even Miss Tamar.
They swore to treat her better, as that lady might become their lady boss soon. One of the secretaries was a diehard friend of Tamar. She gave Havila a threatening look and excused herself. Havila only smiled as if she didn't understand that look. She nodded lightly to them and walked side by side with the president, who had one hand draped on her shoulders. The girl hurried to the lady's room and dialed Tamar's number, and gave her report even before she could hear any voice on the other end.
She whispered, " Hey, Miss Tamar, our president brought a very beautiful lady to the office today. She even rode the front passenger seat. She is now with the president, and I heard rumors that she will be working as his personal assistant temporarily. You were to marry the president, but why are you still not back? Your position is threatened already if you don't come back soon; I am afraid you will find the president already married." She said everything in one breath, afraid of being caught and hanged immediately. She then palmed her face with water to ease her nervousness and left the washroom.
What she didn't know was that Havila was in one of the cubicles. She had seen her sinister looks earlier and guessed her next action. She recorded everything and left the cubicle after her while laughing. She mused, "How stupid." On the other side, the one who received the call was the doctor. He heard everything that the 'bitch' according to how she was saved, said. He now confirmed that Tamar still kept tabs on Keveelsky and planted spies in his office even after refusing to marry him and declaring her love for him.
If it were in the past, he would dump her immediately without delay. Too bad for her, he had already fallen in love with her. He wondered why that girl still wanted help from Keveelsky, as he could provide her with everything she needed. He swore to impregnate her before she went back home so that she didn't have any other choice but to remain with him. He could tell she loved him, but why was she so greedy? He blocked the 'bitch' and deleted the call log.
He prepared breakfast as usual, for he did not want Tamar to realize something was wrong. Tamar came downstairs later, and they had their breakfast harmoniously. He even drove her to her work station before going to his. He had a surgery today that was booked 2 months ago. He knew it was his nemesis Keveelsky's grandfather, but he had to perform his duty as a doctor. On arriving at the hospital, he found out that the patient had already cancelled the surgery on the basis that his grandson refused to marry, so he didn't have anything to live for.
Rumor had it that he refused to receive any kind of treatment until his first grandson marries or has a child. He then flash-backed this morning's phone call and everything joined together. He concluded that maybe Keveelsky did get married to appease his grandfather after Tamar refused to go back. He smirked and decided to go to his girlfriend's workplace to accompany her, as his rival was now a married man. He went there without informing her and found them having their breakfast.
He recognized Tamar in the crowd and went in her direction. She had not yet noticed him as they were talking about men with her colleagues. He smiled, thinking that he was the subject, but was soon disappointed when he heard their story. The girls were teasing her about how good and handsome her man was. According to their description, he already knew they were talking about Keveelsky. He was bitter, but he also knew that the girl only loved the attention and benefits she usually received from him. If only she knew he was already married...
