Gears had a frown on his face as he was talking with Jazz. Gears was mostly the same from the bombing event but was a little bit more quiet and out of sorts as someone would say. He soon asked a question "Where has Ironhide been, you know since the bombing event?" Jazz soon answered "I dunno, I think I saw him go to the training room yesterday. I haven't seen him since then." Gears gave a nod as his unhappy face soured. Gears said "I heard the humans had trouble at the shopping market. We might need to go there soon." Gears and Jazz transformed and leaving the main area.
They left the Ark as the small jeep and the fancy car of Jazz went across the pathway as Jazz soon said "It's been really silent... Since the whole thing happened. You know I'm not one for quiet places." Gears rolled his own optics mentally but he understood, Jazz was trying his best to comfort others even if he wasn't the type of person to do so. Gears soon asked a question "So, what happened between you and Prowl?" Jazz soon replied "We had a heated argument about what we should do. Prowl was too serious and maybe I was a little too laid back at the time." Gears knew that even the most fun-loving people had issues of their own and Jazz was no different.
Jazz and Gears soon arrived and transformed out of their vehicle modes before hearing a strange commotion. They soon ran off with Gears'run being more frantic while Jazz had a confused look on his own face as they heard human cries and yells in the distance. They went to the building and saw that people were running out of there in a hurry, almost like something had happened there. Gears said "I know something had happened." While Jazz expression was a bit more unreadable due to his own visor. They went inside seeing a surprising scene where the Decepticon seeker called Jetblast was severely injuring and trying to kill off humans.
"Hey, Decepticon! What do you think your doing?" Jazz yelled as Gears pulled out his own weapon. Jetblast turned before saying with aggression "Of course you all come whenever there is a commotion! But that doesn't matter now since you lot are here!" Jetblast grabbed his weapon and began shooting as he killed a few adults and kids. Jazz and Gears took cover and immediately hid some of the humans in the process. They began shooting back at each other as they yelled at each other. Gears felt blood sprayed on his chest as more people were killed. He gritted his teeth before pulling the trigger and shooting out a powerful blast. Jetblast took the hit and was shot in the leg as he started to limp.
"Oh you want to take scarp out of me, yeah? Now you will get screwed!" Jetblast shot back blowing their cover and impacting them. Immediately a human which was known as Beckie had enough as she grabbed something out of her pocket. It was a match and she lit it carefully. She soon threw it at Jetblast as it landed on his arm. Jetblast immediately felt pain as he saw his arm being burst into flames but the rest of him was fine due to his durability. He was distracted as he stepped backwards tripping a bit before putting his burning arm on a store's door which soon began spreading to other parts of the store.
Gears and Jazz took the chance and immediately shot at him which weakened him a little bit. Jetblast could feel some of armour melting away as it fell on the floor, all liquidised by the orange weapon. Jetblast struggled to put out the fire as the two Autobots kicked him down. Even if they defeated him, the chaos continued. The flames spread to the bookstores, restaurants and other areas and some people were getting trapped. Jazz soon began saving as many people as possible while Gears checked over Jetblast to make sure he doesn't move. Luckily, someone had called the police and they had came over. Ambulances and Firetrucks came as they began trying to escort the people out .
Some people were taken as they had been in shock, badly burnt, horribly injured or unconscious as they were put in the ambulances. It wasn't a easy process as the firefighters began extinguishing the fire out. Gears and Jazz stared in shock of what just happened as they saw the faces of people on the medical stretcher. Their muscle showing and their lips swollen. Jazz soon saw Gears look down at Becky before yelling "Why did you do it!? Did you even have the intent to-" Becky shook her head "No. I didn't. I caught more people in the process of my actions." Gears was about to argue back before Jazz put his hand on his shoulder "Let's not." Gears shut up after that still frustrated. They noticed Jetblast has disappeared most likely flying off from what just happened.
Becky had been arrested and was taken in for questioning as the police was deciding her sentence. Gears and Jazz decided to went back to base as they were silent through the whole way before Gears said "That went quite badly." Jazz tried to cheer up his friend before saying "It's not the worst mission we been. We would have fallen if we weren't determined to keep going." Gears looked a little awkward at that as both of them entered the entrance and soon transformed. Gears noticed that Jazz's visor had a little crack at its end while his own horns didn't have the sharp edges he usually had.
