Chapter 79 - CHAPTER 79 – THE SCROLL OF PORTALS

Solanky then flew off at rapid speed towards a light pillar in the distance, which fell down whenever a contestant passed a mission, ushering them into the next. The moment he reached the light pillar, he touched it, and he was instantly sucked into the light pillar and teleported away. During the teleportation, Solanky could see the entire competition space surface in his mind as if it was engraved in his mind. After a few moments, Solanky was teleported to a mountain range covered in dense fog; he then walked into a cave and placed the shield before him, which automatically formed a protective barrier around him. He then sat cross-legged and sent a strand of his consciousness to carefully examine the scroll the king ape gave him.

Inside the scroll, Solanky could see the various participants' locations represented by tiny white dots and red dots representing powerful beasts and beings who were sealed in this plane as a result of contamination and had completely lost the sense of reasoning and become like mindless puppets. And there were sparse green dots, which indicated where some of the hidden treasures and artifacts were located in the trial space.

Solanky was shocked seeing all this; he examined the scroll, probably inside his internal world. The seal, which sealed the scroll, shined brightly, and the projection of the king ape in amplification form stood tall. The king ape's projection began speaking, "I guess you have broken the seal in an isolated space where no being at the transcendent entity level or below can spy on you. This scroll was handed down to me by the forsaken god himself to hand it down to any contestant who forces me to use all my amplification techniques by relying on external forces such as armor, weapons, and battle techniques. I know you might think that it is very common because such weapons and artifacts are used by most contestants. But you are wrong; this round of the competition is very much different, and you can see for yourself the moment you observe the grade of weapons and armors in this competition. The most powerful ones are only increasing one's strength by only 50,000 times the strength of an infinite source god (I.S.G.). The forsaken god, with his vast knowledge and cause-and-effect calculations and being a being above the transcendent entity level, knew that a being like you would eventually join the competition with a base strength above late-stage entities, so he directly ordered me to watch for you and gift this scroll to you. This scroll was originally called the scroll of portals. The forsaken god showed me how to use it to traverse the trial grounds in search of a being like you. Since you have defeated me, it automatically acknowledged you as its new wielder. It will handle navigating the terrain of the competition and trial grounds. But always remember to keep it within your internal space, as it is the best way to use it without the transcendent beings noticing it. I know you may have a lot of questions, but the forsaken god barely told me anything about the scroll, as he told me you would naturally know how to use it."

The projection of the king ape dissipated and vanished from his sight. Solanky murmured to himself, "How do I even use this scroll? Since the forsaken god believes I can use this scroll, it means there must be a hidden manual of technique to activate it." Solanky activated his observational eye technique and carefully studied the scroll. A year swiftly passed by in the trial grounds, and most of the participants were killed, leaving only a few in the trial space. Elisa and the chief had run into each other in a mysterious way, as if someone was controlling the terrain for them to meet at the point.

Within the cave, Solanky sat down cross-legged, and inside his internal world, where the time flowed according to his will, ten years had passed by with him fully grasping how to use the scroll. In the ninth year, he finds out he could use his world energies to power the scroll and manipulate the terrain and events of the participants on a small scale by changing their positions and coordinates. He began by mysteriously saving other participants from danger by creating sinkholes beneath them, which transported them to different locations he had already set, making it look natural. Elisa and Chief were both transported in the same manner to his exact location outside his retreat cave. Solanky walked out of the cave towards his companions. Elisa, having incredible senses, already sensed Solanky's aura the moment they arrived, but she couldn't pinpoint his exact location. Solanky sent a telepathic message to them for them to act cool and confused because some transcendent beings were observing them, so they had to be careful.

With the scroll in his internal world space, Solanky easily evaded the dangers and led his companions to the treasure lands of the trial grounds. The core mission of the trials was to survive and gain treasures and exchange them for points whenever they exited the trial space. They travelled the through cave; inside the cave walls there were mysterious golden engravings etched on the walls, being in the possession of the scroll Solanky knew the purpose of these engravings, as their purpose was to prevent any being below the level of the forsaken god from spying on whatever goes on inside these caves, and these engravings suppressed and attacked any transcendent being who tried to enter these caves. The transcendent beings outside the trial grounds deliberately recruited peak- and late-stage entities to venture into these caves to retrieve treasures and techniques created by the forsaken god stored inside jade slips. In previous years some lucky participants were lucky enough to discover some of these jade slips, and their combat prowess increased dramatically, making the ones who got and practiced these techniques cross levels to challenge even the transcendent beings whenever they used law and energy-based attacks, making them invincible below the transcendent level.

Three million years ago, a peak stage entity discovered one of these jade slips and challenged a transcendent entity who killed his clansmen just because he refused to share the content of the jade slip with him. In order to redeem himself, the peak stage entity invaded the camp of the transcendent being, slew all his guards and disciples, and fought with the transcendent being and injured that transcendent being with a technique that no one in the forsaken realm could recognize, and that technique was named the finger of terror. The peak-stage entity was able to escape from the territory of the transcendent entity with minor injuries but he was later hunted down by the same injured transcendent entity with the help of two other entities who were generals from the courtroom. They were able to capture and eliminate the peak-stage entity and retrieved the jade slip, from which they found out the technique that injured their comrade was created by the forsaken god himself.

This made the transcendent beings investigate and give out huge rewards and positions to beings who discovered any of these jade slips. Through. Through the years, only six of these jade slips had been discovered ever since the finger of terror technique was ceased.

Inside Solanky's internal world, he manipulated the scroll, and the pathway before them began to split and multiply, with every new path leading to a different location within the trial space. Elisa and Chief seeing this were shocked and confused, but they didn't suspect it was Solanky's doing, as the path manifested naturally, making it difficult for them to suspect a thing.
