"Again!"
I ordered my pupils as the three of them were sprawled on the ground.
We just completed a high level fusion spell together inside the magic training hall.
"Wait!"
Yuxia shouted desperately.
The elementalist went on, wheezing.
"I don't think I can keep going. My head now hurts whenever I started casting. I think I'm about to experience mana overflow."
The two other mages nodded strongly in agreement.
"I'm heavily drunk with mana potion at this point. My vision spins the moment I expended my mana."
Vallerynne said with twitching limbs.
"I just want to puke right away when I begin my spell formulation."
Matrias said, gagging.
I clicked my tongue in disappointment upon their complaints.
"Don't be so soft. I saw the notification windows earlier. All of you have obtained the Mana Overflow Resistance skill."
"Are you trying to kill us?!"
Yuxia shouted back.
I chuckled at his words.
"Oh come now. I was the one carrying the heavy-lifting in this training. After all, this session is meant to train me since I'm the one going to the Quintal Trial soon."
It would not be long until we would climb to the fifteenth floor. Perhaps in a few days.
I had been making my pupils perform fusion spells with me in the meantime.
That way, I would be familiar enough of such high level spells that it would be easier when I had to cast them alone in the trial.
Recently I had been focusing on the elemental and sub-elemental spells combination I was not familiar with.
Pushing Yuxia and Matrias to come up with their strongest spells so I could replicate them, while making them try even stronger ones with me helping them through joint casting.
Vallerynne was mostly there to lend us mana using Mana Transfer.
The girl drank mana potion to supply her own mana, which explained her complaint earlier.
Matrias then shook his head exasperatedly at me.
"Which is even more absurd! How come you're still fine after all those castings?!"
I shrugged at his wondering.
"My level is higher than any of yours and I have more experience than the three of you combined."
Vallerynne was the one shaking her head this time.
"Even so, you were performing Fourth and Fifth Circle spells earlier. Yuxia and Matrias might had helped you through joint casting. But you were the one leading the formulation most of the time. Even with the forged land's power, you should've become as tired as the rest of us!"
Yuxia nodded to her.
"Serafina, I think you've been underselling your abilities. You've been pointing out how incredible my talent was as an elementalist. But you, yourself, possessed as much talent as I do. More, even!"
Matrias too nodded in agreement.
"Yuxia's right. I thought I was special with my lightning magic. But there you were, wielding sub-elemental spells like Yuxia and I. You even casted them better than us!"
"Not to mention, you're very skilled in enchantment magic. You told us how an elemental mage would struggle to cast enchantment spells just like how an enchanter would struggle for elemental spells. I'm actually surprised I haven't heard of a talented mage like you before!"
Vallerynne added.
There was actually a simple explanation for that proficiency of mine.
My great ancestor of the Zeref bloodline was a mage paladin. Highly compatible with elemental sorcery.
Overtime, the talent for magic dwindled among the descendants that only the Zeref swordsmanship remained.
But the elemental compatibility still existed in our blood should the talent for magic emerge within us.
Meanwhile, my mother, not of the Zeref blood, was talented in enchantments.
It was by pure fortunate coincidence that I was blessed with the talents of both my parents' bloodline.
I would not deny that I had great talent for magic.
But I was not exactly remarkable.
There were many mages more noteworthy than I back in Dunia.
"You think I'm talented? Then you must haven't heard of Crown Princess Samesta."
I told my pupils.
The name of Her Highness invited another look from them.
Curiosity.
"I lived in Tchakra, but I've definitely heard of her."
Yuxia said.
He went on questioningly.
"Was it true that the crown princess mastered all elemental magic at the age of six?"
I nodded.
"Five years and eight months, actually. When Her Highness's nursemaid caught a cold during one winter, she raised her hands to the sky and turned the weather around the capital's region warm as peak summer day."
"She's a wildling like us, right? I believe you told us once during one of our lessons."
Matrias asked.
"The first wildling to ever be appointed as the First Mage of the Tower of Circle. In fact, Her Highness retained her wildling status since her method of sorcery was completely different from the common ways."
I replied.
Vallerynne sighed in adoration.
"People say she's stronger than even the Great Bromstead. I heard the story of her saving Tsahanam's capital when she was not that much older than I am right now."
The very siege where my mother lost her life.
When all seemed lost, Her Highness suddenly appeared in the sky and rained judgement to the ocean of monsters scattered along the Great Desert.
"Crown Princess Samesta was a remarkable mage. She was a hero, in the truest of sense."
I told my pupils with great reverence.
"Serafina, do you think master will summon Her Highness to the forged land?"
Yuxia, the 4-star elementalist, asked.
It was an interesting question. Which answer was quite obvious in my mind.
"If you and I were chosen to be summoned here, don't you think someone like Her Highness would get chosen as well?"
My pupils glanced each other excitedly.
"Goodness! If the crown princess is here, we would reach the top of the tower in no time!"
"I'm sure she can clear the Quintal Trials alone!"
"That's right! We can just sit back and watch her save the world for us!"
Well, if there was someone who could certainly conquer all the Quintal Trials, someone who could certainly bring us to the top of the tower, someone who could certainly save the world...
It would be the Crown Princess Samesta.
Unfortunately, Her Highness was not yet with us right now.
All master could rely on were the warriors of Party 1 and a meager mage called Serafina.
Yes. We were the ones master depended upon at the present.
We were the ones the world depended upon.
Us and everyone summoned to the forged land.
Master's army of heroes.
Those people were the ones who would save the world. Nobody else.
