Selina stepped out of the company building and walked toward the waiting car. She opened the door and settled into the passenger seat, where Noah was already behind the wheel.
Her tense shoulders slumped as she let out a long, weary sigh. "Phew…"
Honestly, she felt as though her soul had nearly left her body after that interview—her first in such a renowned company. Until now, she had only worked briefly in a small city factory, but had quit after the boss repeatedly cheated her out of her modest paycheck.
With a faint, prideful smile tugging at her lips, Selina murmured to herself, "You really did well, Selina."
"How was the interview?" Noah asked, handing her a chilled milkshake.
Selina accepted it gratefully. "Thank you," she said before her face brightened. "I passed."
"Wow… that's amazing. We should celebrate—maybe grab dinner at a nice restaurant," Noah suggested.
