Zane's brows raised in surprise upon seeing Leah there. He recalled the last time Leah had approached him; it was to inquire about his relationship with Selina. She had left that day satisfied, having confirmed that nothing had changed between them—cold and distant.
"What do I owe this visit, Mrs Leah? We have no appointment," Zane asked in his usual polite yet steely voice.
Leah moved toward the couch, settling down with poise. Her sharp, sparkling eyes were fixed on Zane.
"I'm here for an important matter. It's been days since we sent you the proposal we're supposed to be dealing with, but we haven't received a reply yet. Could you explain your reasons?" Leah inquired.
"I'm aware of the proposal, but my company's focus is still tied up with current commitments. I'll review the proposal when time permits. Once I do, I'll let you know my decision," Zane replied, placing the document in his hands.
