After taking a long shower and thoroughly cleaning herself, the slight bulge in her lower belly had flattened out.
Only then did Ning Chu change into her underwear and pajamas, walking out of the bathroom looking completely defeated.

Ning Chu opened her mouth to deny it, but when her mother already knew exactly what time she'd left, there was no point lying.
She had probably been sold out by a certain cat.
"You have been gone all night, and now it's seven in the morning and you're still not back."
Her mother sighed in frustration.
"What's so great about that broke kid, anyway? What do you even like about him?"

That was it—he was gentle!

"Hiss… my shoulder really hurts." Wen Yang glanced down at the rows of bite marks covering his shoulder, baring his teeth in a wince. He lifted the blanket and got up.
"Ning Chu, there should be some band-aids in the desk drawer—grab me one, will you?"
When no reply came, he turned his head toward her—only to see the little succubus sitting there with her head down, twirling the heart-shaped tip of her tail between her fingers, her ears red to the tips.
"Still shy?"
"I'm not."
"You have such a stubborn mouth."
"I am not!"
Truth was, Ning Chu was just worried that if she looked at Wen Yang's solid muscles and that lean, firm waist again, she'd remember last night's sensations and… end up wanting a "morning workout."

"Put on some clothes first," she shot back.

She checked the clock. "Seven-thirty. You're gonna be late for work."
Wen Yang froze for a second, then pulled on a pair of shorts and muttered as he headed for the bathroom, "Huh… guess I didn't sleep much either…"
Ning Chu glared at him in annoyance, then got up to start gathering the sheets and blanket.
The first floor of the rental building had two coin-operated washing machines for everyone to use. Normally, she'd just toss everything in there—but right now she was way too guilty, afraid someone might notice something.
"Wen Yang, go buy a bucket later."
"A bucket? What for?"
"To wash the sheets and duvet cover. If I bring them downstairs… um… someone might notice."
Wen Yang gave her an odd look, staying quiet for a moment before deciding not to break the cruel truth to her—
With the thin walls in this building, chances were the whole place already knew. Some neighbors had even been cursing in the hallway in the middle of the night after being woken up from the sound of sex.
At least no one knew it was them who had done it. Otherwise, even with his thick skin, he'd be thinking about moving.
"I'll take care of it. You just rest," Wen Yang said, unwilling to make her do chores. Then, a bit worried, he asked, "Did I hurt you anywhere? Is there any pain?"
He knew what his… stamina was like, and last night had been Ning Chu's first time.
"I-I'm fine," she stammered.
She still needed time to recover, though—the soreness wasn't unbearable, but the swelling and tenderness did make walking a little awkward.
"Oh! Right!" Ning Chu suddenly jolted upright, looking at him nervously. "You need to go to the pharmacy later!"
"It's already been a while… I don't even know if taking medicine will still work…"
"I don't want to have a baby!"
Wen Yang instantly caught on. "Got it, I'll go right away."
