"You seem to know Master Yeung quite well," she remarked, a little surprised.
It was seriously unexpected that someone as high-profile as Garrett Vincent would be so familiar with an old doctor from a tiny, humble clinic.
"I've known him for many years," Garrett explained, his eyes on the road. "Back when I first came down from the mountain with your cousin, I broke my leg. A lot of doctors said that even if it healed, I'd probably have a permanent limp. It was my mom who found out about Master Yeung, so she brought me here for treatment."
Rachel paused, totally taken aback. "You broke your leg?"
"Yeah," he confirmed with a nod. "It took me a whole three months to be able to walk properly again."
She thought back to that chaotic time. Had he gotten that injury when he fell off the cliff?
Rachel remembered desperately pulling him up from the edge; he'd seemed completely unable to walk afterward.
