She shot him a look. "What do you think? If you got bitten, you'd know!"
"Fine," he said, his gaze playful. "If you really want revenge, go ahead. Take a bite."
Josephine's eyes widened. Was he serious? He was actually offering to let her bite him?
But as she looked at his face, his almost unfairly beautiful face, she knew she couldn't do it.
His features were androgynous but not feminine, and up close, they were even more striking. She could see the slight tremor of his long eyelashes.
It was… too much. Too captivating.
Instead of biting, she found herself leaning in and pressing a series of soft, light kisses against his cheek.
Since she couldn't bring herself to hurt him, this would have to do!
Kieran shivered slightly at the touch. His lips parted, his voice dropping to a husky murmur. "Not going to bite?"
"Who told you to look so good? I can't!" Josephine pouted, practically melting against him, covering his face with more feather-light kisses.
