Rachel let out a soft sigh.
Just then, Josephine's phone chimed with a WhatsApp notification. It was from Kieran, asking when she'd be over.
Rachel caught a glimpse of the screen. "Alright, your prince is waiting. You should head out. We'll catch up another time."
"Okay," Josephine said, getting up. "But promise me, if anything happens, you call me. Don't try to handle everything alone." Her voice was laced with real worry.
"Got it," Rachel smiled.
It was only around Josephine that she could truly let her guard down and just… be. She knew, no matter what, Josephine would always have her back.
As Josephine left the apartment, a heavy feeling settled in her chest. She wasn't sure if Rachel's situation was good or bad.
