My eyes fluttered open to the warm rays of the sun filtering through the curtains. The room smelled of chocolate and pine.
The high ceilings came into view, and for a second I didn't understand what I was seeing or where I was. Everything felt heavy, like I had just woken up from a very long sleep. My body felt strange and tired.
I pushed myself into a sitting position, closing my eyes as if to clear my head. 'Damon?... weren't we kissing a moment earlier, where am I? And how come I don't remember getting here?'
I opened my eyes again, I was in a king-size bed which was in the middle of the room, the linens were dark shades of blue.
To my left was a large familiar grey couch and a polished brown table. To the far end of the right side of the room, stood a brown polished table and a black comfy chair, and on top of the table were piles of paperwork.
The floor was polished oak wood, and the light from the chandelier dangling from the ceiling reflected on the floor.
