While staring toward the blonde girl, the little girl accepted the rose. "Thanks for the rose." She spoke while bowing down to the blonde girl.
The blonde-haired, childish, and adorable girl here is Araya. I really don't know if it's possible to resist her gentle gaze and smile. She is a royal lady of the realm. However, it wasn't the identity she loved for herself, but a baseless title given to her. She doesn't really care about her title, addressing it as a meaningless title. Regarding her position, she visits every depth of the land and tries her best to heal the pain and suffering the mortals are facing. Perhaps it's not possible for her to cure everyone's pain, but there was no lack in her attempts. It was almost like a living beauty spreading love throughout the world. If there's a trace of hatred, Araya will be there to remove the hatred and fill the land with her love.
She defines purity, a soul that only exists to love. A soul where hatred can never exist, no matter what.
After accepting the rose, the little girl stepped away from Araya, who kept smiling upon the girl's exit. A figure appeared behind her, a figure with crimson-dark hair and a well-fitted long dark combat coat. After witnessing his entire appearance, it wasn't hard to recognize him. It was Reiji all along.
"You can never change, Araya." Reiji spoke, indifferent from his usual sincere way of speaking.
Araya closed her eyes and smiled a little wider. She moved her gaze backward upon Reiji and said with a smile, "I don't know the chemistry of changing….. perhaps I don't want to."
"No matter what, I can never stop myself from loving them. No matter what, they'll always be loved by me. It's because I love humanity, I love mortals, from the depth of my heart." She added, totally indifferent.
"That's why I will always be with you, Araya. At the end of the day, it's you who loves everyone selflessly. You can never be someone who can kill others for their own selfishness." Reiji thought to himself, revealing a little smile on his lips. It wasn't a mere smile, but a smile carrying endless love for a certain person.
Reiji is the commander of the defense army of the realm. Though crimes and destruction never actually happened throughout the history of the realm, the army exists like volunteers to help the normal humans in their regular activities. I don't want to address them as an army. After all, I've never seen an army without weapons in their belts. I feel like volunteers could be a better title for them.
While chattering, both Reiji and Araya left the city and stepped ahead on their way to the large castle. After stepping inside the castle, a little presence of loneliness captured them. It wasn't really some sort of loneliness that was going to consume them, but a calmness with the beautiful smell of flowers scattered throughout the entire castle. In every possible corner, I could see the presence of countless types of flowers.
Following their steps, they entered inside the center room of the castle, the throne room. Reiji began speaking while entering inside the room, his appearance seeming pretty casual and careless, "You're scheduled to go out now. I suppose you're not ready yet, Arfanez?"
"Can't be late by keeping you guys waiting, can I?" A familiar voice coming from the throne replied; a blonde-haired figure was slowly stepping out from the throne toward the exit. Arfanez casually stepped out ahead to them while carrying his usual smile on his face.
"Sure uncle, you are so much disciplined after all; I've been witnessing your disciplined behavior for so long." Reiji replied, his tone sarcastic as he meant it to be.
"We can ignore this part… it's not something I want to talk about." Arfanez said with a smile, appearing a bit shy.
Araya burst into laughter while witnessing their conversation, revealing her gentle gaze and bright smile on her lips as usual.
"Ok brother Reiji, no need to make him blush anymore. We can be a little kind to him." Araya said while smiling.
"Definitely you're going to show all of your kindness to everyone, stupid girl." Reiji replied, annoyed as his expression suggested.
Araya simply smiled back, as her usual reply to anyone. Perhaps the world seems so beautiful to her that even negative aspects can never approach her to make her angry.
"Stop ignoring my existence as always, you guys." Someone spoke from the outside. A familiar voice to them with a gentle and feminine tone.
It was Liona, stepping ahead to them while speaking. "I love that too, so stop leaving me behind." She added, smiling a bit at them.
"Don't worry, Liona; how could we leave you behind? You are a part of us, so leaving you behind is going to be a flaw for us." Reiji replied, revealing his usual fearless smile on his lips.
Araya ran ahead to Liona and casually hugged her. Liona accepted the hug and smiled at Araya.
"I love sister Liona; how could I forget you?" Araya spoke, sounding a little loud.
Liona pressed herself toward Araya even further and replied, "I know, Araya; I know you're the one who loves me the most."
"Alright, now please let us continue stepping outside. It's already late." Arfanez spoke.
Following Araya and Reiji, Arfanez and Liona left the castle on their way to visit all around the realm. It's like a mission for them, a mission to figure out the ones in pain and cure them. The saint, the living beauty, and the commander. The three of them wandered all around the realm the whole day. It wasn't easy to find someone in pain, but whenever they found one, they immediately brought out their way to cure them. It's a dedicated attempt, an attempt to turn the realm into a flawless realm without conflict.
Every day, every night passed like that for them consistently. Everything they're doing is for a single reason, just to build up a flawless and finest realm. It wasn't their job; it was their wish and dream. They're selfless; everything they have and everything they do is just for the humans, the mortal inhabitants of the realm, and the world.
