Back in Konoha, when Hyūga Hiashi saw Kaito's Tenseigan, he almost dropped to his knees.
There was no helping it—the Tenseigan's oppressive power over the ordinary Byakugan was simply overwhelming. The Sharingan at least had stages—one tomoe, two tomoe, three tomoe—but the Byakugan was different. Once it evolved, it was like a leap straight into the heavens.
Compared to the Rinnegan, its functions were a little fewer, but in terms of destructive force, the Tenseigan surpassed it by far.
And Kaito's Tenseigan was already far stronger than Toneri's pair of blue Tenseigan. Combined with its vision that far exceeded the ordinary Byakugan, Kaito could even launch an attack directly from the moon onto enemies on Earth.
That attack was the so-called Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion, and Momoshiki and Urashiki had the "honor" of being the first targets.
Besides that, the Tenseigan's control over "power" was even more fearsome. If Kaito wished, he could literally make the Earth and the moon "kiss."
Now, it didn't matter whether he activated the Tenseigan or the Rinnegan. Since the two pairs had fused, he could freely use either of their abilities. Normally, he showed himself with the Tenseigan—it simply looked better.
And with the golden God of Tides looming behind him, not only Hyūga Hiashi, but even ordinary people who saw Kaito felt the urge to kneel.
After resting in Konoha for two days to get familiar with his new strength, Kaito went to Kaguya and obtained the spatial coordinates of the Ōtsutsuki homeworld.
Before leaving, he gave Kaguya a few instructions—stay in Konoha and guard it well—then he stepped into the portal.
...
The Ōtsutsuki star was small in size, pure white from end to end.
Across the snowy expanse were scattered castles—these were the dwellings of the Ōtsutsuki.
Suddenly, a portal opened in the sky, shattering the stillness of the planet.
The aura that seeped out made every Ōtsutsuki tremble. They flew out of their castles, gazing upward at the portal.
Before their eyes, Kaito walked out. Looking down on the Ōtsutsuki below, he said softly,
"Not bad. Quite a crowd you've got here."
One Ōtsutsuki, with a pair of massive ox horns on his head, shot up into the sky and confronted Kaito.
His brows furrowed as he stared at the God of Tides behind Kaito and said in a low voice,
"The God of Tides? That should belong to Kinshiki… Why is it with you?"
Kaito glanced at the bull-headed Ōtsutsuki before him and said lightly,
"Just a trophy of mine. What? You planning to take it back for him?"
"Trophy? What did you do to Kinshiki!?"
"Of course, I killed him."
"Nani!? Y-You actually dared kill your own kin!?"
At those words, every Ōtsutsuki below surged into the sky, hovering behind the bull-headed warrior.
To them, Kaito's appearance and aura were no different from their own, so they had taken him for one of their kin long dispatched on the "Tree-Planting Plan."
But from that exchange, they had just heard the words "kill his own kin." Even though relations among their clan were faint and shallow, killing one's kin was absolutely forbidden among the Ōtsutsuki.
Of course, feeding guardians to the Ten Tails didn't count as killing kin. That was just… the higher-ups needing someone to munch on a fruit!
Kaito looked at the agitated bull-headed warrior before him and asked,
"What's your name?"
"Ōtsutsuki Gyokusiki!"
Gyokusiki? For one who looked even rougher than Kinshiki, such an elegant name was surprisingly contradictory.
With a mere thought, the God of Tides drifted from behind Kaito and floated before him.
Kaito said evenly,
"Judging by how worked up you are, you must've had some connection to Kinshiki. Fine—I'll return the God of Tides to you. Come and take it yourself."
Gyokusiki hesitated for only a moment, then approached Kaito.
In his eyes, Kaito would never dare make a move in front of so many clansmen. That would only bring down the fury of all.
So he came right up to Kaito and reached out to touch the God of Tides.
But the instant his hand brushed it, the God of Tides flared with dazzling golden light, transforming into a blade of pure light.
Gyokusiki's pupils shrank. His body instinctively jerked back at full speed, desperate to retreat from the God of Tides—but it was too late.
The light blade came down with brutal force, cleaving Gyokusiki straight down the middle.
Terror still lingered on his face as his body split along the golden seam, falling toward the ground.
The remaining Ōtsutsuki were all struck dumb. They never imagined Kaito would actually dare strike Gyokusiki before their very eyes—and kill him outright!
After a brief silence, every Ōtsutsuki attacked Kaito at once.
The God of Tides instantly shifted into a golden barrier, enclosing Kaito within.
Their attacks struck the barrier without even stirring a ripple. All were blocked completely.
The Ōtsutsuki were stunned. The God of Tides had no small reputation among them, but never such power—never the ability to block all their combined assaults so effortlessly.
Kaito casually waved his hand. The God of Tides returned to its ring form and floated back behind him.
Then golden light flashed in Kaito's eyes. Twin beams of gold burst forth, sweeping across the Ōtsutsuki before him.
Compared to the clan's array of ornate techniques, this attack looked simple, plain—just like Superman's heat vision. But the effect was devastating.
The bodies of the Ōtsutsuki were sliced apart in an instant.
The planet rang with shrieks of agony.
But the screams lasted only seconds before silence fell.
When all was quiet again, the ground beneath Kaito was piled high with Ōtsutsuki corpses. Not a single body was whole; all were bisected cleanly.
A few Ōtsutsuki still clung to life—not from resilience, but because they'd only been cut at the waist.
Drifting down to the ground, Kaito looked at the mountain of corpses before him, his eyes utterly unmoved.
With a single clench of his hand, an invisible force gathered the bodies into a ball, compressing it tighter and tighter until it became a white sphere floating in midair.
The Ōtsutsuki, who so loved to swallow pills, had at last been refined into a pill themselves.
Yet Kaito frowned, clearly unsatisfied with the "pill."
Muttering to himself, he said,
"This thing's quality isn't that great… Could it be because these Ōtsutsuki were just too weak?"
