Chapter 374 - Chapter 375: New Eyes

After Minato and the others entered the Kamui space, Kaguya immediately prepared to hurl the massive Truth-Seeking Ball, while Momoshiki and Urashiki were already bracing to strike.

Suddenly, two beams of golden light—solid and sharp—descended from the heavens, instantly slicing through Momoshiki and Urashiki's bodies.

Their eyes widened in shock. Around each of their waists appeared a golden ring, and the next instant, their upper and lower halves were severed cleanly apart.

Kaguya froze at the sight, the massive Truth-Seeking Ball still in her hands, momentarily unsure whether she should attack.

...

On the moon, the glow in Kaito's eyes gradually faded. Behind him, Hamura looked on with hesitation and asked,

"You… what did you just do?"

Kaito smiled faintly and said,

"Nothing much. I just took care of some trouble."

Shock filled Hamura's face, his voice trembling,

"Don't tell me… you…"

Kaito waved his hand dismissively. At that moment, a black portal tore open in the air. He stepped toward it and walked inside.

"It's time to harvest the spoils."

After he left, Hamura stared for a long time at the spot where he had disappeared, muttering to himself,

"With him around… those Ōtsutsuki are in for a disaster…"

...

On Earth, Momoshiki and Urashiki floated in the air. Their severed bodies were connected by smooth golden planes, without even a trace of blood.

Momoshiki forced out his words,

"Damn it… who the hell is…"

Buzz!

A black portal opened beside Kaguya, and out stepped Kaito.

Kaguya's face lit up with joy the moment she saw him.

"Master! You're back!"

A smile rose on Kaito's face. He turned toward her and said,

"I'm back. You've done well while I was away."

Kaguya dispersed the massive Truth-Seeking Ball in her hands and said somewhat sheepishly,

"I'm sorry. They came because of me… I brought you trouble."

"Heh. Trouble? How could they be trouble? To me, they're nothing less than gifts delivered right to my doorstep."

After speaking, Kaito's golden eyes flared as he turned his gaze upon Momoshiki and Urashiki.

Momoshiki's expression changed sharply, and he shouted,

"You! You're the one from the moon! That attack just now—it was yours?!"

Urashiki and Kaguya both gasped. Did this mean Kaito had launched that strike all the way from the moon?

From such an enormous distance, he not only locked onto two moving targets with pinpoint precision, but the attack's destructive power was overwhelming as well!

Kaguya stared at Kaito's eyes and asked,

"Master… your eyes…?"

"Mhm. You should recognize them, shouldn't you?"

"Yes. Hamura has a pair like that too. He calls them the Tenseigan. But his are blue… and nowhere near as powerful as yours!"

"Heh…"

Kaito raised a hand and pressed it against his eyes. But these were not merely ordinary Tenseigan.

He already possessed the Rinnegan. The reason he had fallen into his deep slumber was to merge the two ocular powers together—to see if combining the Rinnegan with the Tenseigan could give birth to something entirely new.

The result had indeed pleased him greatly.

His gaze fell once again on Momoshiki and Urashiki.

The moment his eyes locked onto them, both felt a primal fear grip their very souls. Most absurd of all, they felt something akin to bloodline suppression!

Urashiki's face twisted, and he quickly asked Momoshiki,

"Wh… who is this guy? The feeling he gives me… it's like the Grand Elder's presence. Could it be… he's an Elder as well?"

Urashiki's status in the Ōtsutsuki clan was far beneath Momoshiki's, and he rarely had the chance to meet the Elders. Mistaking Kaito for one he hadn't seen before wasn't surprising.

But Momoshiki shook his head grimly.

"Impossible! There are only a handful of Elders in the clan, and I've met them all. I've never seen this man before!"

"Are you two done talking?"

The patterns in Kaito's eyes shifted once again, transforming into something similar to Sasuke's Mangekyō Sharingan.

But his design was golden. Unlike Sasuke's six-pointed star, his formed an eight-pointed star, resembling a blazing sun.

At its center was a pitch-black circle, radiating boundless gravitational pull.

The moment these eyes appeared, not only Momoshiki and Urashiki, but even Kaguya froze in shock.

Because that pattern was no stranger to them—it was none other than the crest of the Ōtsutsuki clan itself!

Momoshiki suddenly screamed in disbelief,

"That's impossible! Those are the Clan Leader's eyes!!!"

Urashiki stammered,

"Clan Leader? But… wasn't he gone long ago? Are you saying… he's the Clan Leader?!"

Momoshiki didn't reply. He had fallen into madness, muttering,

"No… impossible! Absolutely impossible! He's clearly just a human…"

Kaito calmly stared at them. The black pupils of his eyes erupted with a suction force.

In an instant, Momoshiki and Urashiki's bodies began to shrink, collapsing inward before being drawn straight into Kaito's eyes.

Not once did they even have the chance to scream.

His eyes then reverted back to their golden Tenseigan state.

The evolution of these eyes was not yet complete; he couldn't maintain them for long.

After Momoshiki vanished, the crimson ring he had acquired from Kinshiki still floated in the air.

With a casual wave, Kaito summoned the ring into his hand.

This was a sacred relic of the Ōtsutsuki clan, passed down through generations. He remembered its name: God of Tides.

Golden flames rose in his palm, and under their burning heat, the crimson hue of the ring slowly shifted to gold.

He released it, and the golden God of Tides floated on its own, drifting behind him and hovering in the air.

With the relic glowing at his back, Kaito looked like a true deity incarnate.

Kaguya stared at him blankly. From within her sleeve, Black Zetsu muttered quietly,

"Mother… he's no longer human…"

Kaguya broke into a cold sweat at his words and snapped sharply,

"Silence!"

Black Zetsu quickly shut its mouth and said no more.

...

Suddenly, the space beside Kaguya warped, and Minato and the others leapt out.

Madara used the Deva Path to hold Minato and the group aloft—flight was an exceedingly rare ability in the shinobi world, after all.

The four of them landed and instantly laid eyes on Kaito before them. Minato's face lit up with joy, and he shouted,

"Kaito! You're finally back!"

Then his eyes caught Kaito's golden Tenseigan, and he cried out again in astonishment,

"Kaito, your eyes…"

Kaito raised an eyebrow and asked,

"What about them?"

"…They're beautiful!"
