Hero Association Online Part 11

"You've got to be kidding me!" Tony said, his eyes wide open as he stared at Supergiant, who was now standing in front of the enormous green giant that had rushed to attack her, only to suddenly stop right in front of her while she wore a gentle smile.

"Hulk..." Tony said as he looked at the giant, who slowly raised his head and turned to look at Tony and the others as if they were the enemy. "You've got to be kidding me," Tony couldn't help repeating once again.

His pupils no longer held that signature savage look.

Now they were completely empty.

Supergiant smiled.

"What a... fascinating mind. Two people living together and trying to coexist. That made the task a little more difficult, but not impossible."

Then she looked at Tony, Pietro, and finally Hercules, who stood there looking surprisingly calm, even with his arms crossed as if he were simply waiting.

Supergiant spoke with absolute calm.

"Destroy him."

Hulk roared directly at Hercules.

"HAHAHA! My great green friend, I don't think this is the right time for one of our epic battles," Hercules said.

"No, Mr. Son of Zeus. He's being controlled, obviously," Tony couldn't help saying, rolling his eyes beneath his helmet.

"Hmm? Controlled?" Hercules said while watching Hulk charge toward him. "I see. Then I believe I have the perfect medicine for that," he added while raising his enormous golden mace.

Tony didn't need to ask what kind of medicine he meant after seeing him.

Hulk leaped toward Hercules, his massive green fist already flying toward Hercules's face, while Hercules still wore that huge, amused grin.

And before the fist could reach him, Hercules moved faster.

With the mace in his hand, he struck Hulk square in the chest, launching him away with such force that an entire building was instantly destroyed while the green giant's body rocketed into the sky from the impact.

Then Hercules jumped, disappearing from where he'd been standing and leaving behind a massive crater in the concrete from nothing but the strength of his legs.

He appeared directly above Hulk, who was still flying from the previous blow.

And struck him again with his mace, sending him crashing back down with the same overwhelming force, completely destroying another building.

"HAHAHAHA!! Well? Did you come back to your senses?" Hercules shouted while looking toward the ruined building.

But Hulk burst right back out and roared into the sky straight at Hercules.

"I see you didn't," Hercules added, though he looked even happier now.

...

Tony watched the scene.

And couldn't help going completely speechless.

He even looked like he desperately wanted to look somewhere else, as if none of this had anything to do with him.

"Friday. Have all the civilians in the surrounding area been evacuated?" he asked.

"Yes, sir."

"Good. Let them do whatever they want," Tony said, shaking his head tiredly.

...

Meanwhile...

Pietro tried to attack Supergiant, taking advantage of the distraction caused by the two colossi fighting.

But before he could even get close enough, he instinctively stopped as several web pellets flew past his face, exploding right in front of him.

This time, however, Pietro seemed prepared and immediately accelerated, moving away before the webs could trap him.

Then he saw Spider Man appear once again, returning from wherever he'd been launched before, now completely focused on protecting Supergiant.

After losing her spaceship, she no longer seemed interested in moving at all, simply floating where she was.

"Come on, buddy... Don't make me do this," Pietro couldn't help saying, because he was really holding himself back against Peter.

Peter, on the other hand, wasn't holding back at all.

Making Spider-Man even more dangerous.

To the point where Pietro was finding it seriously difficult, especially because Peter had been trained by Owen.

Who, perhaps without realizing it... or perhaps fully aware of it... had turned this kid into a killing machine.

Peter didn't answer.

He simply settled into a combat stance that looked very familiar.

That made Pietro sigh.

"...Damn you, Owen. All you know how to do is create monsters."

Of course Pietro knew that firsthand.

He had been trained by Owen too, just like several other heroes in the Association.

But it couldn't compare to how much time Owen had invested training Peter and Kamala.

...

The one having the biggest problems at the moment was Tony.

He was fighting Ebony Maw, who kept hurling every kind of object imaginable in an attempt to bring him down.

But Tony's attention remained far more focused on Supergiant.

He still couldn't understand when or how she had managed to control Peter and Hulk, and that made her the most dangerous enemy on the battlefield.

The worst part was that she still floated calmly in the air while Strange hovered beside her, still completely unconscious.

At that moment, the Sorcerer Supreme was completely useless.

"Left," a familiar voice came through the communicator.

The instant Tony heard it, he couldn't help smiling as he shifted his body just slightly to the right.

Immediately, a familiar shield flew past his left side straight toward Ebony Maw, who had been studying Tony, preparing his next attack, taking him completely by surprise.

But Ebony Maw raised a hand, stopping the shield with the star in its center.

He looked at it with open disdain as he caught it in his hands.

"Interesting material," Ebony said.

At that exact moment, an electromagnetic flash shot through the air so fast it broke the sound barrier several times over.

It struck the very center of the shield.

Instantly, the kinetic energy from the electromagnetic shot spread through the shield directly into Ebony Maw, who was holding it in front of him.

Ebony's body was suddenly blasted away.

Several special arrows followed along the exact same trajectory before exploding right in front of him, sending him crashing into the nearest demolished building.

"Ah, sorry. I finally found some spare change so I could keep shooting. So... shall we begin round two?" Nicolás said over the communicator.

"Yeah, I think you missed that last one," Barton's voice was heard as Hawkeye peeked out from a nearby building.

"Of course I didn't. I got Cap's shield back, didn't I?" Nicolás replied in an amused tone.

Meanwhile, the shield, still spinning through the air, landed neatly back into its owner's hand.

He caught it effortlessly as he looked over both the enemies and allies gathered on the battlefield.

"Well, Tony. Looks like you're going to have to get me up to speed," Steve said as he arrived to join the battle.
