Chapter 63: Burton's Challenge

Crawley Town returned to Broadfield after their 3–1 win over Aldershot. The result took them to 66 points and kept them fourth in League Two, just two points behind third place.
Their next game was against Burton Albion on March 25, only four days before the FA Cup quarter-final against West Ham United. Niels knew the players would have to stay focused. Burton were a physical side and would not make things easy.
There was also concern about Nate Sutton. His knee had held up against Aldershot, but it was still sore. Niels wanted to make sure he didn't push himself too far.
The players were still in a good mood after the win as the team bus headed back to Crawley. Max Simons sat with a smile on his face, still talking about his goal.
"Max-y, you broke their keeper!" Thiago joked.
Max laughed.
"Just doing my job, mate."
Luka joined in.
"My pass was the real magic."
Nate clapped his hands.
"Team effort, lads!"
