Inside the room sat the king. The place was very silent as he focused on his papers. He wanted to be fast with it so he could meet his wife. He knew that if he focused like this, it meant he would finish early, and once he did, he would go to meet her. That was what motivated him to move on with his work.
Not long after, he heard a knock, which meant there was an important message that needed to be passed. Knowing that he did not like interruptions, it only meant the message was important. After a brief silence, the door opened as his personal guard entered the room. He bowed before speaking respectfully.
"King Zoltar, I was told to inform you that King Raphel would be leaving the palace for an urgent matter at his own palace."
Zoltar, who had been writing something, paused as he looked at his personal guard.
"Did something happen?" he calmly asked. He knew how Raphel was, and for him to leave immediately especially late at night—made him curious.
