I waited for Alpha Magnus to continue, with a tightness in my chest. I feared that my heart would burst open if I didn't take in enough air or let out enough air soon enough.
But how could I bring myself to breath when my whole world was spinning, and spinning really fast so that my head ached, and I felt dizzy.
"He was murdered in cold blood, stabbed with a dagger." Alpha Magnus continued. His eyes were fixed on the crowd now but I couldn't stop fear from crawling into me.
The murmuring from the crowd was louder now, and so was the sound of my heartbeat as it hammered violently against my chest.
My eyes travelled to Dylan and Declan just then, and like the others, they were just as shocked.
Declan stepped away from his position, and headed out, probably to see Thorne for himself. I would have thought it was Declan who had killed Thorne but for the shock in his eyes. And now the question of who killed Thorne is left in the air.
