Chapter 205 - Chapter 204: Meikyō

Kakashi's right eye Mangekyou ability, Meikyō, also known as "Underworld Mirror," was simple.

It would reflect actions back upon the attacker. Any damage that Kakashi had taken in the past ten seconds would be reflected back to Malekith.

The ability worked by turning the enemy's own power against them in a perfect mirror of reality. It was a defensive and offensive technique at the same time, using the opponent's strength as the weapon.

Malekith had just released a massive blast of reality energy that had obliterated Kakashi and turned him to dust.

The Dark Elf king stood tall with a triumphant expression, believing the battle was finally over. But Kakashi again reformed himself. He then looked at Malekith and then something more unexpected happen.

Malekith looked in shock as he looked at his hands slowly turning to dust. Small particles began breaking away from his fingers and floating into the air.

The red energy around him started to fade and crack as the reflection took hold. "What is happening? What did you do to me?"

Malekith asked with growing panic in his voice.

"I have the Aether... I am supposed to be unstoppable... no, this is the power of Aether itself... how could you use the power of the weapon that I created on me... how....." Malekith muttered in disbelief. His body began crumbling faster as the reality reversal continued its work.

"I was supposed to bring darkness to the world..." Malekith continued with a sad and broken voice. His once proud and commanding tone now carried deep regret and sorrow. "For thousands of years I waited in the cold shadows of Svartalfheim. I watched as Asgard and the other realms filled the universe with false light and meaningless life."

"I dreamed of the perfect silence that existed before the stars burned. I wanted to return everything to that pure, peaceful darkness where no suffering existed. No wars, no betrayals, no endless cycles of pain. I believed I was the savior the cosmos needed. But now... it ends like this. Turned to dust by my own creation."

His body continued to disintegrate as he spoke, his red eyes losing their glow. "All my warriors, all my plans... gone. The darkness I loved so much... it rejects me in the end. Perhaps the universe never wanted salvation. Perhaps the light was always meant to win." Malekith's voice grew weaker as more of his form turned to fine powder. He looked almost peaceful in his final moments, like an ancient king accepting an unwanted fate.

As he finally turned to dust, Kakashi laid against the side of the wall with its support exhausted.

His body felt completely drained after using two powerful abilities in quick succession. Kakashi bled from his eyes. Both of his eyes were completely closed which made him unable to see.

The strain from the Mangekyou techniques had taken a heavy toll. His left eye would be usable in about another nine minutes but his right eye would be gone for a day.

He did not know why the price of the ability of the right eye was more than his left eye even though the left eye's ability Izanagi was so much more powerful than Meikyō.

But he had his guess of it because of it affecting the reality of another person other than him that the cost was so high. The reflection of reality on someone else demanded greater sacrifice from his body and chakra reserves.

The Tesseract's barrier disappeared as the Avengers rushed towards him. "Kakashi, are you all right?" Natasha asked first, her voice filled with worry as she knelt beside him.

"Boss man, you scared us half to death!" Clint added quickly.

"Do not do that again. My heart cannot take it," Creel said with tears still in his eyes.

"You came back from dust twice. How is that even possible?" Tony asked while scanning him with his suit sensors.

"We thought we lost you for good this time," Cap said in a relieved but serious tone. "You are one tough leader. Glad to have you back,"

As he heard their worried voices, Kakashi remembered his own friends from Konoha who would always come to check on him after he was hospitalized from chakra exhaustion but he mostly ignored them.

But he would not be going to do the same to them. He thought, 'I guess making friends is not just your thing Naruto. I might be good at it too.'

Someone started cleaning the blood over his eyes. Kakashi recognised the hands from it to be Natasha. Her touch was gentle and careful as she wiped away the blood with a cloth.

"I am fine. I would just be unable to use my eyes for a day," Kakashi said, relieving everyone. His voice was tired but steady, bringing visible comfort to the group.

"What did you do even? How did you survive Infinity Stone attacks? And how did he die from the Infinity Stone itself? Did the Infinity Stone overpower his body which would make sense? We literally saw you die. Was that an illusion?" Tony attacked him with questions as he saw Kakashi was mostly fine.

"I did die. I just used an ability to turn what I believed to be an illusion to reality to come back to reality. And as for him dying by the Infinity Stone's attack, I just reversed his attack on me to himself," Kakashi said with amusement in his voice.

Tony opened and closed his mouth several times so did a few of the other Avengers. He finally said, "At this point of time, I am not even surprised. Your eyes are so busted. It makes me just want to gouge them out from your skull and study them."

Kakashi thought, 'Oh, how many in my previous world would want to do the same.' He kept the thought to himself and simply smiled faintly. "Anyways, what is the situation? Are all Dark Elves cleared?"

"Yes, we took down most of them and have some of them as prisoners. We have left Hulk in charge of them. He is gently keeping them in line," Cap said.

Cap then turned his head to where Malekith was standing. "As for the Infinity Stone, it is floating right next to us." And true to his word, a bright red stone with immense power was floating where Malekith was.

The Aether hovered in the air, glowing with dangerous red energy, waiting to be claimed.

And before anyone could say anything else, someone appeared in an illusion. It was Loki.

"I will be taking that, thank you for your service." With a sly smile and a bow, Loki reached out and took the Reality Stone.

Green magic swirled around him as he disappeared with the stone in a flash of light, leaving the Avengers stunned and the tower suddenly quiet once more.
