Kakashi shouted to the other Avengers, "Stand back. Do not let those tendrils touch you."
The team immediately complied and moved back, heading his commands without question. They trusted his judgment completely after everything they had been through together.
They were relieved to see Kakashi alive and knew that if he was considering something dangerous then it was very deadly to them. The heroes retreated to safer positions while keeping their eyes on the fight.
Natasha, Clint, and Creel stayed close enough to support if needed but far enough to avoid the red energy tendrils that could turn anything they touched into dust.
Kakashi looked around to see the rooms had turned into dust. The destruction was spreading quickly. Any other damage and the floor and even the tower might collapse on itself.
The walls were crumbling and the floor had large holes where the Aether had erased matter. He knew he had to end this fight fast before the entire building came down on top of everyone.
As Kakashi was thinking of taking the fight to the Kamui dimension, a blue barrier surrounded Malekith and him and everything including the floor and roof for a hundred metres.
Tony shouted, "I have ordered Jarvis to use the Tesseract's barrier on this floor. What is better to counter an Infinity Stone's destruction with another Infinity Stone? You can go all out without worry about the building and us now." His voice sounded confident even in the middle of the chaos.
Kakashi smiled at that. 'Feels good to have geniuses in the team to back you up.' He felt grateful for Tony's quick thinking and the support of his teammates. It reminded him that he was no longer fighting alone like in his early days as a shinobi.
Kakashi saw that the dark red tendrils could not do much to the barrier formed by the Space stone. He knew given enough time even this barrier would fail but the time it has brought him should be enough to get done with the fight.
There were only two outcomes possible now. Either they would all be dead trying to stop Malekith or the dark elf king would perish first.
He then felt his left eye which was twenty five percent closed. He thought, 'I have about a minute and a half remaining of Izanagi before I would not be able to use my left eye for ten minutes.' The new ability was powerful but it had clear limits that he needed to manage carefully during this battle.
Kakashi knew that normal ninjutsu would not work on Malekith as the Reality Stone energy would just mend or stop any of such attacks so he would have to use other methods.
He moved straight towards Malekith. Several dark red tendrils erupted from Malekith and attacked him rapidly. They touched him and disintegrated him to dust in an instant.
But to Malekith's surprise, the human appeared out of nowhere right in front of him and Kakashi slammed his palm covered with chakra onto Malekith. 'Juinjutsu: Curse Seal of Mahoraga.'
Black markings spread throughout Malekith's body like living tattoos. The energy of the Reality Stone stopped flowing around Malekith. The energy whips disappeared completely. Malekith who could not move struggled against the seal. He muttered, "What... is this?"
Kakashi looked at the juinjutsu that he had created after studying in Kamar Taj and was glad it was working.
It was a juinjutsu that became stronger as it adapted to whatever it was used to suppress by absorbing the energy of that individual. It was Kakashi's first time using it after he had developed it.
The seal was designed to counter different energies in this universe by learning from them and growing stronger. He watched carefully as the black markings continued to spread and suppress the red energy.
Malekith said, "Do you think this nonsense can stop the power of Aether?" With a roar, Malekith started glowing red as a massive blast of red energy took place that broke the seal of the juinjutsu.
The force was overwhelming and pushed everything back. Kakashi was blasted back as he turned to dust only to appear a safe distance away using the power of Izanagi.
He looked at his left eye that was now completely closed up. His two minutes of immortality were up and now his left eye was fully closed, unable to be used for the next ten minutes.
'I have no chance but to use the other ability,' Kakashi thought. He had awakened another ability of the Izanagi of the Shinto gods.
But the reason he had not used that ability until now was simple. It would make him unable to use his right eye for a day. And it would also take quite a bit of his chakra.
Izanagi had also taken a lot of his chakra. Using this he was sure that it would leave him unable to fight anymore for today. He would have to leave it on others if any other attack followed this one. Still, he had no other choice in this moment. The situation was too dangerous to hold back.
He would have to go through another Chakra exhaustion after this and this time he would be going blind too temporarily.
He activated the ability of his right eye. 'Meikyō.'
