They entered the room to check on Jane who lay still on the bed. Bruce and Tony quickly checked up on her with their equipment.
The medical scanners hummed softly as they moved over her body, showing clear readings on the screens. "She is fine. She is.just unconscious," Bruce said after scanning her in a minute.
He sounded relieved as he reviewed the data. The vital signs looked stable despite everything that had happened to her.
"Should we expect any reaction to her having a reality stone in her body?" Natasha asked with clear concern in his voice.
She stood near the bed, watching Jane carefully. "Only time would tell. Jarvis will have someone keeping an eye on her. Let's go eat shawarma already," Tony said as they moved outside Avengers Tower to a nearby shawarma restaurant.
The group needed a break after the intense battle, and good food seemed like the perfect way to recover some energy.
Kakashi was supported by Natasha since he could not see and he was severely chakra exhausted. He leaned on her shoulder as they walked.
Midway Kakashi's vision returned in one of his eyes. He opened his eye and then his Sharingan to see if after using Izanagi he could still use it or not but was assaulted with a headache and he immediately closed his Sharingan.
The pain was sharp and sudden, like needles behind his eye. He stumbled. Natasha asked worriedly, "Are you okay?"
"I am fine. It is just chakra exhaustion," he said letting go of Natasha, deciding to walk himself now that he could see. The fresh air and the short walk helped him feel a little stronger as they reached the restaurant.
They reached and ordered. The small shawarma restaurant was busy with normal people, but it went completely quiet when the Avengers walked in.
Creel took the lead at the counter. "Good evening, fine citizens of New York. We just saved the world from dark elves and reality-bending bad guys. We need the biggest, juiciest shawarma you have. Extra meat, extra sauce, extra everything. Make it rain garlic sauce on all of them." The cashier stared with wide eyes, clearly recognizing the heroes.
"Sir... are you Absorbing Man?"
Creel grinned. "In the flesh. And today I am a very hungry absorbing Man. Make it quick."
Clint leaned over excitedly. "I want mine with double meat, those spicy peppers that make your mouth feel alive, extra pickles, and a mountain of fries. Add some sauce that burns just right."
Natasha shook her head with a small smile. "I will take the chicken one with vegetables and light sauce. Some of us still want to taste the actual food and not just burn our tongues off."
Tony immediately overruled her. "Add extra sauce to hers too. She deserves it after all those perfect shots today. And make one vegetarian for Banner."
Blonsky stepped up shyly. "Can I get three large ones? With everything on them. I punched a lot of elves today and I am starving."
The cashier's hands shook a little as he wrote down the massive order.
Cap smiled politely. "I will have the classic one please. Thank you for your hard work even during all this chaos."
Kakashi gave his own order next.
The owner came out personally, looking starstruck. "Anything for the Avengers. On the house today!"
Tony grinned. "See? This is why I love New York. Free food after saving the world. Perfect." The staff hurried to prepare the large order while whispering excitedly.
One young worker took a secret photo, and Tony noticed but just winked. "Make sure to tag us properly when you post that."
The group sat at the largest table, still in their battle-worn suits. Tony continued talking while waiting. "You know, after fighting to fantasy creatures and seeing our leader come back from the death, nothing tastes better than greasy, delicious shawarma. This place better have good portions or I am buying the restaurant."
As their order came and they bit into their food, Thor arrived flying through the window, the glass breaking apart. They all looked at Thor who looked confused at seeing them just relaxing and eating food.
"I am not paying for that. Get your Asgard daddy to pay for that," Tony quipped as he took another bite of the shawarma.
Thor stood among the broken glass, hammer in hand, looking at the casual scene with wide eyes. "Heimdall told me that the Dark Elves had also attacked Earth in small numbers but with their leader. Their attack to Asgard was just a distraction. Where are they? Did you manage to vanquish them already?"
Thor asked but he then looked at Kakashi. "Of course you managed to. Kakashi you even managed to vanquish someone that even my grandfather the great king Bor could not kill. Your achievements even shake the foundation of Asgard." Thor said with genuine admiration.
Kakashi asked, "Where are the Mutants?"
Thor replied, "They are in Asgard. Heimdall would have them back on Earth soon. But you should have seen them. They are mighty warriors. Especially that woman with the white hair, she had the power of storms in her hands. I did not think there was someone else with power like mine out there."
Thor spoke with excitement as he described the battle. "Storm called lightning from the sky like a true goddess. Her control was beautiful and powerful. She protected many of our warriors with walls of wind. Logan with his metal claws tore through the Dark Elves like they were nothing. He fought with wild strength and never backed down."
"Hank in his blue furry form used his intelligence and strength to turn the tide in several fights. Bobby with his ice powers created barriers that saved many lives. The young mutants showed great courage too. They may be new to this world but their hearts are strong. It reminded me of my own early battles. Asgard owes them a great debt for standing with us against the darkness."
Thor continued praising them for several minutes, clearly impressed by the new allies. "Truly, this day has brought new legends to the nine realms."
He then looked at them eating shawarma. "Are you people having a party?"
"The party is over," Tony said. "Oh and your brother spoiled the party once again," Tony added.
"Loki was here?" Thor asked shocked.
"Yup and managed to take Aether which is the reality stone right from us," Clint said.
"Then we must immediately go after him. Whatever Loki is planning, it must be something big. We must act before it is too late." But they kept eating.
Thor got irritated. "We must act before he completes whatever his goal is. His previous goal was to annihilate an entire planet of frost giants and then his plan was to destroy Earth with the help of Thanos and Chitauri army."
"You are right but do you have a way of finding him?" Cap asked.
Thor was stumped at that question. "That means we can just wait for him and then stop whatever his plan is when he comes at us," Kakashi said.
Thor could only sigh. "Very well, I will check up on Jean. Can I get whatever mortal food you are eating for me and Jean? It looks good."
