This rather juvenile response naturally wasn't something Du Xixi herself came up with. She originally just planned to officially explain the source of these ingredients and then return to the main topic, teaching cooking with peace of mind.
However, the Cultural Relics Bureau was not pleased. They felt that such a significant historical moment couldn't be passed over with official language, so the whole agency racked their brains and spent three hours coming up with such a juvenile introduction for Du Xixi.
