Aurelia Shaw walked down the street.
The wind was a bit chilly, and the street was empty with hardly anyone around. The two rows of streetlights seemed sparse. She had a bit to drink, not enough to be drunk, but her head was still a little dizzy.
The cool breeze sobered her up quite a bit.
Aurelia felt something cool and gritty blowing against her face. She extended her hand and opened her palm, a fine and misshaped snowflake landed in her palm and quickly melted.
Huh? It's snowing?
It's only October, not even winter yet, how could it snow?
Aurelia suddenly realized she had come out wearing only a dress, her coat left in the car. She hadn't called Amanda Fuller to pick her up, and now she was dressed... well, quite grandly.
Luckily, it's nighttime; otherwise, dressed like this, she'd be mistaken for a lunatic.
"Beep beep," suddenly a horn sounded behind her.
Aurelia thought she was blocking the road, so she stepped aside. That car drove past her but stopped in front of her.
