Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Headshot Expert

Mo Jin soared into the sky, hovering amidst the tall tree canopies, surveying the surroundings.

Mo Qingchen wasn't idle either; through Spiritual Perception, he approached a flowering plant.

[Cold Star Grass: A primary material suitable for crafting Spirit Potions.]

It's one of the resources within the Goblin Forest, valued higher than Tree Fruit.

This thing can be sold for 1,000 Dragon Coins per plant outside; if taken out of the Abyssal Dungeon, it also requires 1 Abyssal Currency.

As for Spirit Potions, they temporarily enhance Spirit Attributes and are very effective at certain times. Both Beastmasters and Guardian Beasts can use them.

Mo Qingchen carefully took out a pre-prepared medicine trowel from his Space Backpack, and without damaging the roots, harvested the Cold Star Grass, then stored it in the item slot of the Abyss Pattern.

Items from the Abyssal Dungeon cannot be stored in the Space Backpack without purchasing or exchanging them with Abyssal Currency first.

Luckily, the item slot in the Abyss Pattern can store all resources acquired in the dungeon without a quantity limit.

Soon, Mo Jin descended from the sky.

"Master, a hundred meters away on a tree, there are many Tree Fruits, though several goblins are guarding below."

"Lead the way. Let's check it out."

With Mo Jin's current strength, as long as it's not a Tier Two Great Goblin, he can easily slay lesser beasts.

One man and one insect moved quickly; during this, Mo Qingchen, relying on Spiritual Perception, discovered many things, including exposed Refined Iron Ore.

But extracting this stuff still requires some time, so he noted the coordinates to mine it later after finishing the main task.

Soon, one man and one insect approached the tree bearing Tree Fruits.

Compared to the other towering trees in the forest, this tree was half as tall, and its canopy was laden with numerous small purple fruits.

Looking at the Purple Berries the size of tomatoes, Mo Qingchen immediately recalled their information.

Tree Fruits in the Goblin Forest come in three types, among which Purple Berries are the most common.

These berries can be used to produce Nutritional Supplements, which are a basic food source for most Guardian Beasts.

The outside purchasing price is 300 Dragon Coins per pound, and bringing them out of the Abyssal Dungeon costs 1 Abyssal Currency per pound.

Mo Qingchen didn't act rashly, hiding behind a thorny bush. Through Spiritual Perception, he saw goblins below the tree forming a human ladder, trying to climb and pick the fruits.

There were a total of nine green-skinned dwarfs, each wielding weapons made of stone and wood.

Through the gaps in the thorns, Mo Qingchen observed each one; these nine goblins are all between Level 12 and 15.

"Jin Jin, you'll use Extreme Speed Sprint to take out the two at the bottom of the human ladder, then immediately take flight and escape."

If it's possible to avoid direct confrontation, then do so. As an assassin-like Guardian Beast, the Great Needle Bee excels in one-hit kills and quick escapes.

"Got it!"

Mo Jin nodded, then vibrated his wings, and charged out from the bushes. His Riding Spear flashed with a cold gleaming stab.

Almost instantly, Mo Jin dashed beneath the big tree.

The Riding Spear easily pierced the heads of the two goblins at the base of the ladder.

But that wasn't all; as Mo Jin sprinted past, his stinger launched a Silver Needle that accurately pierced into another goblin's eye.

The intense toxin immediately corroded its brain from the eye.

This goblin didn't last even two seconds before collapsing, frothing at the mouth, twitching as life quickly faded.

The goblins at the ladder base were instantly killed, and beside them, another goblin, not yet climbing, died from poisoning.

The goblins climbing felt the world underneath them vanish, plummeting heavily to the ground, dazed and disoriented.

At this moment, two spikes shot left and right like lightning.

Piercing into the heads of goblins still howling in pain on the ground.

The sharp spikes, with immense force, rotated into the goblins' eye sockets.

▄︻┻┳═一...☆(>○

Blood splattered, brain matter scattered; the head bones of two goblins were directly punctured.

"Indeed, a headshot is the fastest way to kill."

Mo Qingchen muttered to himself, though his expression was a bit grim.

Using the spike to pierce just now, he sensed great resistance; if it weren't a Tier Three weapon, it definitely wouldn't pierce the goblin skull and would get stuck instead.

Nevertheless, in an instant, one man and one insect teamed up to eliminate five goblins, leaving four; three had fallen to the ground and hadn't gotten up, screaming in terror at their companions' deaths.

The last goblin held tightly to a Purple Jelly Tree branch with both hands, swinging like a swing.

How could one man and one insect miss an opportunity to strike while the iron is hot?

Two spikes, splitting left and right, one flying towards a goblin on the ground, the other piercing the one swinging on the tree.

Mo Jin's speed was even faster; a golden streak fell from the sky, and two glowing Riding Spears, with thunderous force, accurately stabbed into the chests of two other goblins.

Blood splattered, flesh and bone scattered; the two Riding Spears pinned two goblins dead to the ground.

The perfect teamwork between one man and one insect meant this group of nine goblins had no chance to resist, completing the fight in a mere ten seconds.

[Notice: Beastmaster slays Goblin (Level 12), Guardian Beast (Mo Jin) gains 60 Experience Points.]

...

Mo Qingchen silently closed the notification panel, having resigned to the reality of Guardian Beasts gaining experience when Beastmasters slay monsters.

Damn Abyssal Rules!

"Leveling up by farming monsters indeed requires dungeons."

The nine goblins together provided 720 Experience Points. If he were to return to the sewers to hunt wild monsters, it might require killing over a hundred rats.

Ignoring the goblin corpses, Mo Qingchen walked below the Purple Jelly Tree and directly used Telekinesis to harvest all the Purple Berries from the canopy.

"From one fruit tree, gathered about five pounds of Purple Berries; seems this fruit has a high yield in the dungeon."

Storing the fruits in the item slot of the Abyss Pattern on his brow, one man and one insect began their return.

Soon, they arrived at the location where Spiritual Perception detected the Refined Iron Ore earlier.

This was a chunk of Refined Iron Ore exposed on the surface, like a big rock, pressed into the earth by some force.

Mo Qingchen took out a pre-prepared mining pickaxe and began to dig into the rock formed by Refined Iron Ore.

After just three strikes of the pickaxe, the large rock formed by Refined Iron Ore shattered into pieces of irregular ore weighing a pound each.
