Marlon glanced at Jayvaughn who looks like he is about to start a killing spree anytime soon, his carefully practiced feminine voice soft yet firm. "Don't listen to Josh," he said gently. "He's a lunatic. Even my brother thinks so."
Jayvaughn shook his head, his eyes dim and heavy with guilt. "He's not wrong," he murmured. "His words are true. I'm a terrible boyfriend. I can't even protect the person I love. Since Axel got together with me, he's been hurt again and again. If I hadn't entered his life, none of this would have happened."
Marlon frowned immediately and leaned forward. "No, you can't think that way. None of this is your fault. You didn't want any of this to happen. Even my brother never once thought you were a mistake in his life, so why would you think that of yourself?"
