"You… love me?" I question in honest shock as I can feel my heart pounding in my chest. It's pounding so hard it almost hurts…
"You… I…" I stutter, but I don't know what else to say.
"I know it's sudden," She suddenly speaks again, and I stare at her in silence.
"And I know I might be ruining whatever peace we have, but I needed to say it before you left." She adds as she looks at me, and I swallow.
"But Alpha Igma…" I try to speak but she doesn't let me.
"Just… hear me out… There's… there's more." She says, and this time, my heart stutters.
"More?" I repeat and she hesitates for a moment before rising from her chair.
She walks around the table cautiously and stands beside me.
I bite my lower lip as I stare at the gorgeous woman staring at me like I'm some treasure she's toiled years to find.
She reaches out, and my eyes don't miss that her hand is trembling as it brushes a strand of hair from my face.
