Ning Rongrong herself was a top-tier beauty, on par with Zhu Zhuqing and Xiao Wu in appearance.
But Gu Yue Na completely outshone them all—her looks and aura far surpassed those of the three girls.
Xue Beng's eyes went wide; his throat moved as he swallowed hard. He swore he had never seen such a beautiful woman in his life.
None of the noble ladies, married women, or even the empresses and concubines his father, the emperor, had taken could compare to the woman before him.
If Xue Beng had to describe Gu Yue Na in one sentence, he would say—she was a fairy who had stepped out of a painting, a peerless beauty beyond compare.
No matter what kind of man you were, upon seeing such a woman, your heart would instantly be stirred.
Xue Beng's heart was moved—and once it started, it couldn't stop.
"Your Highness, what's wrong?" someone outside asked, puzzled as they noticed Xue Beng standing frozen at the doorway.
Only then did Xue Beng snap out of his trance. He quickly put on what he thought was his most charming smile and walked over to the table.
The ten men who had followed him crowded in as well, curious to see what the legendary daughter of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect looked like.
But as soon as they entered, they too froze, just like Xue Beng had earlier. The sound of gasps filled the air.
Ao Tian was sitting near the door, his back facing them.
Xue Beng stood right behind Ao Tian, completely ignoring the man as his gaze swept over Ning Rongrong and the other three women—lingering mostly on Gu Yue Na.
Their peaceful meal had been ruined, and Ning Rongrong's expression had turned cold.
"Get out," she snapped.
"It's been a long time, Rongrong. Your temper's gotten quite fierce," Xue Beng said with a thick-skinned smile.
Then, looking at Gu Yue Na, he added, "Rongrong, aren't you going to introduce me to your friend?"
"Get out!" This time, it was Ao Tian who spoke.
At once, all four girls turned their eyes toward him.
Xue Beng blinked, then sneered, reaching out to pat Ao Tian's shoulder.
"Rongrong, how can a blind fool like this guy even be your friend?"
Soul power surged in Xue Beng's hand. Though he was only a Da Hun Shi (Great Soul Master), that slap would be enough to shatter Ao Tian's chair and send him tumbling to the floor.
He didn't dare lay hands on Ning Rongrong—only flirt and tease her with words—but a young man? That he didn't mind bullying.
Ao Tian's voice sounded young and unfamiliar, which made Xue Beng feel even less threatened.
However, before his hand could touch Ao Tian's shoulder, a terrifying force surged upward from below.
Xue Beng's body arched backward unnaturally before shooting into the air and crashing into the people behind him.
Screams rang out as chaos erupted.
Blood trickled from Xue Beng's nose and mouth as he staggered up, pointing at Ao Tian with hatred. "Get him! Cripple him!"
"Fourth Prince, fighting is forbidden here," one of his men reminded nervously.
The others also hesitated, not daring to move.
"What are you afraid of? This restaurant is under my family's protection! If anything happens, I'll take the blame!" Xue Beng roared.
As he spoke, he released his martial soul and charged toward Ao Tian again.
Since childhood, no one had ever dared hit him—and now it had happened right in front of so many beautiful women, in a public place no less. His face burned with shame and fury.
A nobody dares to hit the Empire's prince? Xue Beng thought viciously. Even if I kill him, it won't be excessive!
Besides, it would make his playboy reputation more convincing, lowering the crown prince's guard.
Even Prince Xue Xing wouldn't blame him for this.
With his order, the others finally unleashed their soul power, lunging to grab Ao Tian and drag him out for a beating.
Gu Yue Na and Xiao Wu, however, remained calmly seated, continuing to eat as if nothing had happened. They weren't the slightest bit worried about Ao Tian.
After all, anyone who could truly harm Ao Tian didn't exist in this world.
Because they knew his power, they kept eating, unbothered.
Ning Rongrong's face paled, and she stood up, shouting, "Stop it!"
But Zhu Zhuqing had already released her martial soul. Her figure flashed, appearing behind Ao Tian, her claws slicing through the air.
Screams filled the room as blood splattered.
Seeing someone try to attack Ao Tian, Zhu Zhuqing acted instantly.
No matter who the attacker was, if they wanted to harm Ao Tian, they'd have to get through her first!
Even so, she held back. After injuring several of Xue Beng's men, she kicked Xue Beng square in the chest, sending him flying again.
Everyone's faces turned pale with shock. "A Soul Elder! She's a Soul Elder!" they shouted.
The three soul rings around Zhu Zhuqing glowed—one purple, two yellow. The purple one alone terrified them; it was the mark of a Hun Zun (Soul Elder).
Like Xue Beng, these people were spoiled good-for-nothings with little strength—barely Great Soul Masters. Brash against the weak, cowardly against the strong.
Zhu Zhuqing's swift, ruthless action scared them senseless.
Blood dripped from her claws as her cold expression made these arrogant nobles tremble.
Xue Beng climbed up again, suddenly far less confident.
He had never expected there to be a Soul Elder among them—or that this girl would actually attack him.
Wiping the blood from his mouth, he barked, "Do you even know who I am? I'm the Fourth Prince of the Heaven Dou Empire!"
"So what?" Zhu Zhuqing replied coldly.
"Good. Very good." Xue Beng clapped mockingly and sneered, "I like fiery women like you."
"Guards!" he suddenly shouted.
A waitress hurried over.
"Call more people! Take them all down!" Xue Beng ordered coldly.
"Your Highness, fighting is not allowed here," the waitress said nervously.
Slap!
Xue Beng's hand cracked across her face. "Say that again," he hissed coldly.
The waitress trembled and fell silent.
Finally, Ao Tian stood up and placed his hand gently on Zhu Zhuqing's shoulder. "Go sit down."
Zhu Zhuqing stood unmoving, still guarding him.
"Sit," Ao Tian commanded.
Zhu Zhuqing shot Xue Beng an icy glare before obeying and returning to her seat.
When Xue Beng finally got a clear look at Ao Tian's face, he froze—then jealousy twisted his features.
Spitting out blood, he grinned hatefully. "Boy, you're dead."
The words had barely left his mouth when—smack!
He flew backward again, blood spraying as he crashed through the doorway.
When he hit the ground, his face was already swollen and red, several teeth missing.
Then came more smacks—pa! pa! pa!—as his followers were sent flying one by one, teeth and blood scattering across the floor, their faces puffed up like balloons.
Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong were stunned.
They hadn't seen Ao Tian move, but they knew—he was the one who'd done it.
Ao Tian waved his hand, and the door slammed shut with a bang.
If he hadn't thought Xue Beng might be useful later, he'd have erased him completely just now.
"Rebellion! You dare rebel against me!" Xue Beng's furious roar came from outside.
Ning Rongrong frowned. "Ao Tian, this is Heaven Dou City. Your identity might not help you much here. Beating a prince could cause trouble. But don't worry—I'll protect you."
Outside, the restaurant manager finally arrived with several Soul Masters. Seeing Xue Beng's miserable state, they were all stunned.
In Heaven Dou City, who would dare provoke this infamous young tyrant?
"Manager Wang! Arrest them all and take them to my mansion!" Xue Beng roared viciously.
Manager Wang smiled politely. "Your Highness, we can't break the rules, or no one will dare dine here again."
"Are you saying you don't want this job anymore?" Xue Beng growled, holding his swollen face.
"Even if a prince came, he'd agree with me," Manager Wang replied, calm and unafraid.
Xue Beng's expression darkened. Finally, he spat, "Let's go!"
He stormed off.
The others, clutching their faces, hurried after him.
"Your Highness, are we just letting that guy go?" one asked.
Xue Beng snarled, "We're going back to gather men. Aside from Ning Rongrong, I'll make those four regret crossing me!"
They left two men behind to watch the restaurant while the rest rushed home to summon stronger fighters.
They hadn't brought guards today—they'd just returned from the academy.
"This meal's ruined. Let's go," Ao Tian said.
Xiao Wu and Gu Yue Na reluctantly put down their chopsticks. Together with Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing, they followed Ao Tian downstairs.
As they walked, Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing were startled to find that the people inside the restaurant acted as if they couldn't see them at all—utterly indifferent to their departure.
Outside, Long Ma trotted up automatically.
Once they were inside the carriage, Ning Rongrong couldn't hold back anymore. "Did you all notice? It was like everyone in that restaurant went blind—they couldn't see us."
Zhu Zhuqing nodded. "I noticed too. I even waved my hand in front of that manager's face—he didn't react at all."
Gu Yue Na and Xiao Wu exchanged a knowing glance—they both understood it was Ao Tian's doing.
Still, they nodded in agreement.
Gu Yue Na said casually, "Maybe it's just because that Xue Beng guy is so annoying that everyone ignored us."
"Sister Na'er, that was too strange," Zhu Zhuqing said. "They weren't pretending—they really couldn't see us."
"I think so too," Ning Rongrong added.
Xiao Wu laughed. "Who cares? Maybe they're just good actors. What, you think we suddenly learned how to turn invisible?"
Ning Rongrong's eyes lit up. "Wait—yes! Invisibility! We were just like we were invisible!"
Zhu Zhuqing shook her head. "That's impossible. I've never heard of anyone who can become invisible."
But as soon as she said it, a thought flashed through her mind. She cast a sidelong glance at Ao Tian.
She remembered that day they had run to the Star Dou Forest. Her soul power and stamina had been exhausted multiple times—but each time, they had mysteriously recovered, as if some energy had poured into her body from nowhere.
That day had been just as strange as this one—completely beyond explanation.
"Could both times have been because of Ao Tian? But he's only a Soul Elder… even a Title Douluo couldn't transfer soul power or make people invisible from afar, right?"
Countless thoughts flashed through Zhu Zhuqing's mind, but she found no answer.
Xiao Wu grinned. "Who cares why? It saved us a lot of trouble. Or would you rather have fought your way out of that restaurant?"
"Can't figure it out, so I'll stop thinking about it," Ning Rongrong said.
Zhu Zhuqing nodded slightly in agreement.
Suddenly, Zhu Zhuqing stiffened and reached for her collar.
"What's wrong?" Xiao Wu asked, noticing her reaction.
Zhu Zhuqing frowned. "The Shrek Academy badge—it's gone. I'd pinned it on my collar and forgot to take it off."
Xiao Wu waved it off. "Probably fell off when you were fighting. Doesn't matter—we're not Shrek students anymore anyway."
Zhu Zhuqing nodded softly. "Mm."
