Qian Renxue was somewhat surprised by the cardinal's quick agreement; it was unlike the Spirit Hall's usual domineering style.
If she had known that Bibi Dong had given prior instructions, she wouldn't have been so surprised.
She beckoned to a distance, and a healing spirit master quickly approached.
"Heal this knight," she ordered.
"Yes, Your Highness."
This healing spirit master was Qian Renxue's attendant, and upon receiving the order, immediately began treating the injured knight.
Qian Renxue frowned as she looked at the bulging flesh on the knight's body, saying, "Tang San, how did this knight get like this?"
Tang San turned his head away, ignoring Qian Renxue.
In the distance, Grandmaster's condition finally improved somewhat, and he called out, "Little San, quickly remove the hidden weapon from that knight."
Tang San then squatted down and, under the knight's angry gaze, retrieved the Dragon Beard Needle. He also removed the Dragon Beard Needle from the heart of another knight.
He wouldn't waste such a rare treasure.
After treatment, the knight was able to stand up with difficulty.
"Go back on your own. Don't worry, the Spirit Hall will give you justice," the cardinal said to the injured knight.
"Thank you, Your Excellency." After saying this, the knight glared at Tang San resentfully and limped away.
The cardinal glanced coldly at Tang San, flicked his sleeve, and turned to walk towards his horse.
Qian Renxue said, "Dean Flander, don't worry, I will not stand idly by in this matter. I will ensure your safety."
"Thank you, Your Highness!" Flander said gratefully.
Qian Renxue smiled and said, "We're all on the same side. Now that we've come to Spirit City, we should all support each other and not be bullied. Don't you agree?"
As she said the last sentence, Qian Renxue looked at the other academies.
"Your Highness is right."
"Your Highness is righteous!"
"Yes, now that we're in Spirit City, we should stand together!"
Whether sincere or not, the academies echoed Qian Renxue.
After receiving treatment, the master's injuries had healed considerably, and after eating a large sausage from Oscar, his strength began to return.
"Thank you, Your Highness," the master said, bowing to Qian Renxue from afar.
Qian Renxue smiled gently, "It's what I should do. Get up quickly, let's go to the hotel we're staying at first."
Flander returned to Grandmaster's side and said in a low voice, "Xiao Gang, I think we should leave Spirit City immediately. The Spirit Hall is so ruthless in attacking you, they might also be targeting our academy. I'm worried about the children's safety..."
Grandmaster interrupted Flander, saying, "Let's go with the team. We've prepared for the Soul Master Competition for a long time, we can't afford to fail at the last hurdle."
Flander said anxiously, "I know you crave victory, you crave first place, but you can't gamble with the children's lives."
Grandmaster smiled bitterly and said, "This is Spirit Hall territory. Do you think we can escape once we leave Spirit City?"
Flander was stunned for a moment, then fell silent. Grandmaster was right. If the Spirit Hall really wanted to deal with them, even if they left Spirit City now, they wouldn't be able to escape.
Grandmaster continued, "Since we're here, let's make the best of it. Now that we're in Spirit City, let's focus on the competition. Don't worry, with so many Spirit Master academies watching, the Spirit Hall won't bother us here."
Flander nodded helplessly and sighed, "That's all we can do."
Tang San and Liu Erlong quickly returned to Grandmaster's side.
The closer to the center of the garbage heap where Grandmaster was, the stronger the stench became.
Standing next to him, Tang San and Liu Erlong could smell the stench emanating from him, enough to make anyone faint.
Tang San and Liu Erlong weren't stupid; they naturally understood what had happened to Grandmaster from that smell.
"The Spirit Hall, they deserve to die!" Tang San thought bitterly.
He frowned, held his breath, pretending not to smell the stench, and grabbed the master's arm, saying, "Teacher, let me help you up."
Liu Erlong also grabbed the master's other arm, saying softly, "Xiao Gang, let's get in the car. I'll help you clean up when we get to the hotel."
The master's expression changed slightly. He glanced at the teachers and students from other academies who were still watching, unwilling to get up.
He used his hands forcefully, preventing Tang San and Liu Erlong from pulling him up.
"Xiao Gang, why won't you get up?" Liu Erlong felt the pull from the master's hands and asked in confusion.
"Teacher, what's wrong?" Tang San also asked.
They guessed that there was something dirty in the master's crotch, but they didn't know that the amount of dirt was astonishing.
This was also the reason why the master was unwilling to get up in front of so many people.
These people in front of him were all from the top academies of the Heaven Dou Empire, from all over the empire, and their influence in their respective regions was astonishing.
The master could barely accept being seen like a beggar by these people.
What he couldn't accept was letting these people see him with his crotch covered in excrement. Not only would he be ridiculed, but Shrek Academy would be a laughingstock across the entire continent.
This would become an indelible stain on him and Shrek Academy.
From then on, when people mentioned Shrek Academy, they would remember him as the master who pretended
to be in excrement. Even if Tang San became the strongest in Douluo Continent, people would still remember that Tang San had such a teacher.
The master had once imagined that after Tang San became a peerless powerhouse, he, as the teacher, would be recognized by the world, his theories would be revered as truth, and he would become a godfather-like figure in the soul master world.
But if so many powerful figures in the soul master world witnessed his disgraceful state, this laughingstock would accompany him for life.
Faced with Tang San and Liu Erlong's questions, the master's face flushed red, unable to speak.
Seeing the master's stubborn refusal to get up, the other academy members were equally puzzled, but also even more interested. They didn't rush back to the carriage, continuing to observe from the sidelines.
Seeing Liu Erlong and Tang San's increasingly anxious expressions, the master sighed helplessly, knowing that he could not escape this calamity.
Suddenly, a thought struck him. He rolled his eyes, tilted his head, and then closed them.
Seeing this, Liu Erlong panicked, shaking the master and calling out, "Xiao Gang, Xiao Gang, what's wrong? Don't scare me!"
Tang San was also startled by the master's reaction and shouted, "Teacher, what's wrong?"
He quickly checked the master's pulse, but found nothing unusual except for weakness.
The master's eyes were tightly closed; he wished he could truly faint. How could he answer Liu Erlong and Tang San's questions?
"Xiao San, quick, help your teacher back to the car," Liu Erlong said.
Tang San nodded and, together with Liu Erlong, helped the master up.
The two helped the master walk outside.
Ma Hongjun, Oscar, and the others held their breath and made way.
"Look, why are that master's pants yellow? What's that bulging thing inside?" someone pointed at the master's buttocks.
The voice wasn't low, and many eyes immediately turned to the master's backside.
They quickly realized what the master was hiding in his pants.
A burst of laughter erupted.
The master, eyes closed, heard the laughter and felt utterly humiliated and indignant; he almost wanted to bite his tongue and commit suicide.
"Shut up!" Liu Erlong roared furiously, but to no avail.
Tang San's face was ashen.
Suddenly, the master's trousers trembled, and clumps of golden substance spilled out, scattering on the ground.
Feeling the substance trickle down his legs, the master felt like dying.
Tang San looked at the ground, paused, and then his face turned extremely pale.
No wonder his teacher hadn't wanted to get up; Tang San finally understood. He looked at the master's face and saw that it was flushed, and his facial muscles were trembling slightly.
He realized that his teacher wasn't really unconscious, but faking it.
Tang San felt incredibly sorry for him and said, "Teacher Erlong, let me carry you alone."
With that, he went to the master, put his arms around his legs, and carried him on his back.
Grandmaster's trousers were wet, and Tang San's hands touched something soft and squishy; he knew exactly what it was.
Suppressing his nausea, Tang San carried Grandmaster quickly towards the carriage.
He clung to Grandmaster's legs, preventing the contents from falling out further; Tang San thought this might ease his teacher's pain.
He understood his teacher's difficulty in facing this situation, so he walked quickly, reaching the carriage in a few strides. He leaped onto the carriage, carrying Grandmaster, and swiftly climbed inside.
The dozen or so academy teachers and students who had gathered, along with the crowd from Wuhun City, were still laughing loudly. Shrek Academy had truly disgraced itself.
After Tang San and Grandmaster were inside, Ma Hongjun, Dai Mubai, and Oscar finally couldn't hold it in any longer, letting out a heavy sigh and then taking several deep breaths.
Liu Erlong followed closely behind.
"Get in the carriage!" Flander shouted.
Ma Hongjun quickly said, "Teacher, I'm about to throw up from sitting in the carriage for twenty days. You all get in, I want to walk around outside and get some fresh air. Don't worry, I'll follow the carriage."
"You little brat! Aren't you getting in or not?" Flander glared at him and was about to pull Ma Hongjun over.
Liu Erlong leaned out of the carriage and said, "Let the children stay outside, so they can see the scenery of Wuhun City."
Flander sighed helplessly and said, "You guys don't fall behind."
"Don't worry, teacher, I won't fall behind," Ma Hongjun quickly said.
Flander shook his head and got into the carriage with Zhao Wuji.
Seeing this, the cardinal in front continued to lead the caravan forward.
Ma Hongjun and the others followed outside the carriage.
"Brother Dai, why aren't you going in?" Ma Hongjun patted Dai Mubai on the shoulder and asked.
Dai Mubai glared at Ma Hongjun but didn't say anything.
Oscar sighed, "Our Shrek Academy is in deep trouble this time. We've made such a fool of ourselves; we're destined to be laughed at by the other academies for a long time."
Ma Hongjun scoffed, "Grandmaster was with us on the first day of our journey, but then he disappeared. I don't know why he came to Spirit City early to offend the Pope. Wasn't he just asking for trouble? Now look what's happened; he's dragged us all down with him."
Because he was worried about being overheard by Flander and the others inside, Ma Hongjun didn't dare speak too loudly.
"Say more if you want to die," Dai Mubai said calmly.
Oscar patted Ma Hongjun's shoulder and said, "Want to try Tang San's torture methods?"
Ma Hongjun's fat trembled, and he dared not speak any more nonsense.
Inside the carriage, Tang San put Grandmaster down, let him sit in a seat, and then took out two ropes to tie up Grandmaster's trouser legs.
Liu Erlong and the others watched this scene with heartache, saying nothing.
After tying up Grandmaster's trouser legs, Tang San's hands were sticky and wet, as if covered in wet yellow mud, making them unsuitable for any situation.
Liu Erlong took out some tissues and handed them to Tang San, saying with heartache, "Little San, wipe yourself."
Tang San took them with a heavy heart and slowly began to wipe.
Grandmaster opened his eyes, gazing at the people before him, tears streaming uncontrollably from his eyes, wetting the grime on his face.
His expression was one of extreme grief, and he said in a trembling voice, "Brother Fu, Erlong, Wuji, Little San, I'm so sorry!"
