Chapter 371 - Beggars Not Allowed

"I'm so sorry!" The Master cried out in heart-wrenching sorrow,

tears streaming down his face, his expression one of endless regret. Liu Erlong felt a pang of heartache. She took a handkerchief from her bosom and gently wiped the tears and grime from the Master's face.

But the more she wiped, the dirtier his face became. The grime mixed with his tears, and when Liu Erlong wiped it, it looked like mud dredged from the bottom of a lake.

The Master pushed Liu Erlong's hand away, sobbing, "Don't touch me, I'm dirty."

At this moment, this man, who had endured decades of cold stares and ridicule with composure, broke down and cried for the first time. This blow, this hurt, was beyond his limits.

This was a double torment of body and soul. He had stubbornly persevered for half a month, finally holding on until his rescue. At this moment, he could no longer hold on.

Seeing the Master's wailing, Flander, Liu Erlong, Zhao Wuji, and Tang San were all deeply saddened.

Flander sighed, "Let him cry. It's hard to imagine what he's been through for half a month. Crying will make him feel better."

Tang San clenched his fists tightly, veins bulging, anger brewing within him. He asked, "Teacher Erlong, half a month ago you said Teacher had something to do and needed to leave for a while, but you didn't tell me he came to Spirit City. Now, can you tell me what really happened?"

Liu Erlong gently shook her head, saying, "Your teacher's condition is still unstable. Let's wait until he calms down before letting him tell you himself. We also want to know what he experienced in Spirit City."

Tang San fell silent, not asking any further questions.

Grandmaster cried for half an hour, his emotions gradually stabilizing.

Just then, the carriage stopped, and His Highness the Crown Prince's voice rang out from the front.

"We've arrived. Everyone, get out of the carriage."

Flander opened the curtain and glanced outside, finding the procession stopped in front of a tall hotel.

People from other academies had already gotten out of their carriages; some had entered the hotel, while others stood at the hotel entrance, watching Shrek Academy's carriage with great interest, clearly wanting to see another good show.

Flander frowned, retreated back into the carriage, and said, "The guys from the other academies want to watch the show. How about this, Wuji and I will go in and choose our rooms first, then you guys can go in."

Tang San nodded and said, "Okay, Dean, please let me know when you come out."

"Alright." After Flander finished speaking, he and Zhao Wuji got out of the carriage.

"You guys come in with me." Flander waved to Dai Mubai and the others who were standing by the roadside.

Not long after, Flander and the others chose their rooms, leaving Dai Mubai and the others upstairs. Flander himself went downstairs, intending to go out and call Tang San to bring Master in.

Just as Flander stepped out of the hotel, a young man from some academy, grinning mischievously, approached the hotel manager.

"Manager, I have something to report to you..."

  ...

Flander returned to the carriage and said, "Alright, the rooms are ready."

Tang San said, "I'll carry Teacher upstairs, anyway, my hands are still dirty."

As soon as he said it, Tang San realized he had said the wrong thing; it might hurt his teacher's pride.

"Little San, I'll walk by myself, so you don't get dirty," Grandmaster sighed.

Tang San said, "Teacher, let me carry you. It'll be faster, and you won't have to face those who are laughing at you."

  "Alright," Grandmaster didn't insist anymore.

"Erlong, you come up too. I'll stay here and clean the carriage," Flander said.

Tang San carried Grandmaster on his back, with Liu Erlong supporting him from behind. Grandmaster tilted

his head slightly, closed his eyes, and sighed, "Go out."

"Okay," Tang San replied, getting off the carriage.

Outside, many people from other academies were still standing at the hotel entrance, their expressions mocking. After Tang San appeared carrying Grandmaster, they all looked over.

Tang San glanced coldly at them and quickly carried Grandmaster into the hotel.

He vowed in his heart that when he encountered these teams again in the finals, he would make them regret it!

Grandmaster kept his eyes closed, hearing bursts of laughter, still feeling somewhat uncomfortable.

Liu Erlong followed behind, glaring fiercely at the onlookers.

Tang San looked at the hotel ahead, secretly alarmed. Even the doorman possessed the cultivation of a Great Soul Master.

Just as he was about to step into the hotel with Master on his back, the four waiters standing at the entrance stopped him.

"Stop! Our hotel doesn't welcome beggars," one of the waiters said coldly.

As he spoke, the waiter hurriedly covered his nose, and the other waiters also looked at Master on Tang San's back with disgust.

The smell emanating from Master was simply too unpleasant; his trousers were almost yellowed, the substance had seeped out and condensed on the outside.

What hotel would allow such a person to enter?

Tang San was already suppressing endless anger, and now being stopped at the door, with his teacher being called a beggar, he almost wanted to kill someone.

Liu Erlong's eyes were wide open, her fiery temper about to burst forth.

Just then, Flander strode over with a fawning smile, slipping several gold soul coins into the hands of the four waiters, saying, "Don't worry, we'll clean him up after we go upstairs, ensuring he doesn't soil anything in your hotel."

The waiters accepted the gold soul coins and said, "No way! How can we do business if we let someone like that into the hotel?"

Liu Erlong angrily said, "Call your manager out! We are distinguished guests from the Heaven Dou Empire participating in the Soul Master Competition. Is this how you do business?"

A fat man walked out with a sneer and said, "Then tell me, which hotel manager would let a piece of shit stay in their hotel?"

Liu Erlong looked at the fat man and angrily said, "You're the manager, aren't you? Your hotel was arranged for us by the Spirit Hall. Now you're turning us away. Are you trying to disobey the Pope's orders?"

Caught off guard, the fat manager's expression changed slightly, and he began to hesitate.

Just then, a waiter nearby said, "Manager, this beggar is the sinner who offended the Pope. I saw him with my own eyes a few days ago."

The fat manager immediately felt confident and sneered, "Since he is the sinner who offended the Pope, then I can't let him in even more."

"You..." Liu Erlong pointed at the other party.

Flander quickly pulled Liu Erlong's hand down, saying ingratiatingly, "The Pope has already forgiven him. Otherwise, why would the Cardinal have allowed us to bring him here?"

The fat manager frowned. This convoy was indeed brought by the Cardinal. Had the Pope really pardoned this beggar?

He looked at the filthy Master with his eyes tightly closed, pondered for a moment, and said, "How about this, turn left around to the back of the hotel. There's a horse enclosure there with water. Take him there to wash and then come back in quickly."

"Okay, okay, thank you." Flander quickly thanked him and pulled Tang San outside.

"Hehe, that water is specially used to wash horses and horse manure. It's perfect for him to bathe," a waiter laughed.

Tang San suddenly stopped, his killing intent radiating uncontrollably.

"Xiao San, Er Long, don't be impulsive," Flander hurriedly said, pulling Tang San forward.

Behind them, the onlookers burst into laughter.

Tang San's face was ashen as he was dragged by Flander into a side road of the hotel.

Liu Erlong followed behind, angrily saying, "Flander! Don't you have any backbone? You've been insulted to this extent, and all you do is grovel and fawn? We can just find another place to stay; I don't care about this place!"

Grandmaster opened his eyes and said, "Erlong, Flander is right to do what he did. Don't scold him."

He sighed and continued, "Now almost everyone in Wuhun City knows I offended the Pope. Who would let me stay here? Sigh… I can't bear to dirty their room. It's better to wash it here before going in."

Tang San suddenly said, "Teacher, don't worry. One day I will make Bibi Dong pay for the pain you've suffered."

Grandmaster said, "Little San, the power of hatred can make a person stronger, but I hope you won't blindly seek revenge. Before you're absolutely certain, it's best not to confront the Spirit Hall head-on."

"Teacher, I understand," Tang San said.

The four arrived at the back of the hotel, where there was indeed a spacious stable with many horses tied up and some carriages parked inside.

In the center of the stable were several large vats filled with water.

"Little San, put me down," the master said.

Tang San put the master down.

The master looked at Liu Erlong and said, "Erlong, why don't you leave for a moment?" Liu

Erlong blushed and said, "Let me help you wash?"

The master shook his head and said, "Little San can help me; he got dirty too."

Flander pulled Liu Erlong outside and said, "Erlong, you go into the hotel first. I'll take Little San and Xiao Gang up later."

Flander and Liu Erlong went out, and soon after, Flander brought the carriage in and began cleaning the parts of the carriage that the master had dirtied.

Tang San helped the master wash little by little, scrubbing more than a dozen times and using up several bars of soap, finally getting it clean.

The master looked pleased and, without putting on any clothes, said, "Little San, take off your dirty clothes. Your whole back is dirty; let me wash it for you."

"Teacher, is that alright?" Tang San was a little embarrassed.

Since he was old enough to understand things, he had never been naked in front of anyone before.

Grandmaster chuckled, "I've watched you grow up, what's there to be shy about?"

With that, he stripped Tang San naked, revealing his arms, buttocks, and back were indeed covered in dirt.

Looking at Tang San's now tall and strong physique, standing at 1.8 meters, Grandmaster nodded with satisfaction, "Little San has grown up too."

Tang San blushed, unable to face Grandmaster.

"Give me the soap," Grandmaster called from behind.

Tang San obediently handed the soap back.

Flander smiled and shook his head, saying, "I'll go up first. You can come up when you're done."

  "Yes, Dean," Tang San replied.

Feeling his teacher wiping his back with soap, Tang San was deeply moved.

"Teacher, can you tell me about your experiences since coming to Wuhun City?" Tang San asked.

Grandmaster sighed, "Let's talk about it later, so I don't have to explain it to them again."

  "Alright."

"Teacher, the other academies were really kicking us when we were down, it was too much."

Grandmaster said, "They are all top academies, they naturally won't accept losing to us, especially those teachers, they are even more dissatisfied with me, a Great Soul Master, it's normal for them to kick us when we're down." "

I will make them regret it!"

"No need to hold back." Grandmaster said.

Those academies were really too much, not only targeting him, but also Shrek Academy, they had to be dealt a heavy blow!

It wasn't until almost evening that Tang San and Grandmaster came out of the stable.

Grandmaster had changed into a clean set of clothes, he kept sniffing himself, he still felt there was a smell.

Tang San said, "Teacher, you don't smell bad anymore, it's just psychological."

Grandmaster nodded, the two arrived at the hotel entrance, and the waiters did not stop him again.

Flander had been waiting in the lobby for a long time, and led Tang San and Grandmaster upstairs.

After entering the room and sitting down, Master finally let out a long sigh.

All the Shrek Academy members had gathered there.

Tang San quickly said, "Oscar, get another big sausage."

Oscar quickly made a large sausage and fed it to Master.

Tang San placed his fingers on Master's wrist, checking his condition.

His fingers remained on the wrist for a long time, his expression growing increasingly grave.

"Little San, how is your teacher?" Liu Erlong asked anxiously.

Tang San withdrew his hand, his tone heavy, "My teacher was already seriously injured, and then half a month passed without treatment. He has developed deep-seated injuries that are difficult to heal. These injuries will likely stay with him for life."

"Damn Bibi Dong!" Liu Erlong gritted her teeth.

The Grandmaster remained calm, saying, "You don't need to worry about me. I know my body very well; Soul Masters aren't that fragile."

Tang San asked, "Teacher, please tell me the whole story."

Liu Erlong also said, "Xiao Gang, tell me what happened. I want to see just how vicious that woman, Bibi Dong, really is."

"Alright," the Grandmaster sighed, and began to recount the events.
