│3rd Person POV │
While Tang Ya was enduring her emotional upheaval in the mortal world, far above in the Divine Realm, three long-time friends had gathered for a rare meeting.
They were Xiao Wu, the Scabbard of the Asura God Tang San; Ning Rongrong, the radiant Nine-Colored Goddess; and Zhu Zhuqing, the stoic Goddess of Speed.
This reunion had been arranged by Ning Rongrong, who noticed her old friend had been unusually withdrawn. She had hoped that some companionship and warm memories might help cheer up Xiao Wu.
Xiao Wu had been quiet ever since her daughter, Tang Wutong, snuck down to the Douluo Continent the day before.
From the moment Tang Wutong was born, the girl had never left Xiao Wu's side for more than a few hours, let alone a whole day. This sudden separation, though brief in Divine Realm time, felt unbearable to the devoted mother.
But that was precisely the problem.
In the Divine Realm, one day equaled a full year in the Douluo Continent.
So while it had only been a day since Tang Wutong descended, an entire year had already passed for her daughter in the lower realm.
Even though Xiao Wu knew that Da Ming and Er Ming were watching over Wutong on the continent—and even though she trusted them deeply—her heart could not rest. The uncertainty gnawed at her. She had no idea how her daughter was faring down there, all alone.
Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing had been trying to distract her with small talk, gently guiding the conversation to lighter topics in hopes of lifting her spirits.
But then, suddenly, an unremarkable notebook materialized within their Divine Consciousness.
At the same moment, a stream of information surged into their minds. It was from the Diary System.
In an instant, the rules of the System imprinted themselves into their consciousness, leaving no room for misunderstanding or doubt. And as if that weren't enough, the System also informed each of them that the other two present were also Diary Copy Holders.
The sudden influx of knowledge left all three women momentarily stunned.
Xiao Wu blinked in confusion, her ears twitching slightly as she clutched her chest. "What... what was that just now?" she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. Her Divine Consciousness had never been intruded upon so directly before in such a manner.
"A Diary System?" Ning Rongrong echoed aloud, her brows furrowed. Her usual cheerful demeanor was replaced by a rare seriousness. "It just… appeared out of nowhere and forced knowledge into our minds. Even in the Divine Realm, there's no one capable of such a feat, at least as far as I know. Unless… unless it came from a higher plane or something beyond our understanding."
Zhu Zhuqing nodded in agreement, her golden eyes narrowing. "The most disturbing part is that it bypassed our divine defenses like they weren't even there."
Xiao Wu shook her head, trying to focus, "And it said… we're all Diary Copy Holders?"
"Yes." Zhu Zhuqing's tone was calm, betraying the caution coiled beneath her words. "The notebook that appeared in my mind has the title [Ye Chen's Diary: Zhu Zhuqing Exclusive]."
"Mine says [Ye Chen's Diary: Ning Rongrong Exclusive]." Ning Rongrong added.
Xiao Wu nodded but then quickly shook her head. "It doesn't matter. I need to tell Brother San about this immediately."
But the moment those words left her lips, an overwhelming, soul-crushing pressure descended upon her. At the same time, a strange sensation swept through her, like her heart was being gently, almost lovingly, caressed.
In that instant, Xiao Wu understood without a shred of doubt: if she so much as attempted to speak about the Diary Copy in front of Tang San, she would die.
Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing rushed to her side, their expressions turning sharp with concern.
"What happened?!" Ning Rongrong asked, kneeling beside her and grabbing her hand.
Xiao Wu's voice trembled as she spoke, her eyes wide with lingering fear as she recounted her experience to her two friends.
Zhu Zhuqing's brows furrowed upon hearing the details. "A warning from the System?"
Xiao Wu gave a slow nod. "Yes. I… I really think I would've died if I tried to go through with it. Not just me… it felt like my soul would be erased. I've never felt anything like that; not even during the time I sacrificed myself to Brother San."
The three of them sat in silence, the gravity of the situation slowly sinking in.
"…So, we can't tell anyone," Ning Rongrong muttered, her expression unusually serious. "Not even our husbands—or anyone from the Divine Realm Committee."
"Unless they're also Diary Copy Holders," Zhu Zhuqing added quietly, earning a solemn nod from the Nine-Colored Goddess.
"What should we do now?" Xiao Wu asked softly, having finally regained her bearings.
Ning Rongrong glanced toward the notebook suspended in her Divine Consciousness and suggested, "Read the Diary's contents. Maybe we'll find out why the System chose to give us a copy of Ye Chen's Diary… whoever he is."
With that, she focused her full attention on her Diary Copy and began reading. Zhu Zhuqing followed suit without hesitation.
Xiao Wu lingered a moment longer, eyes distant. Then, as if trying to justify it to herself, she thought, Maybe I'll learn what's happening in the lower realm… and how Xiao Qi is doing down there.
She drew in a quiet breath and began to read.

[Douluo Continent – Heavenly Soul Empire, Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Sect, Library]
[Anyway, there's no point in ranting about things that don't affect me. I should focus on my task.]
With that final thought, Ye Chen closed the Diary in his mind.
He picked up a book on human anatomy and began reading; a volume detailing the intricate network of meridians and acupoints within the human body.
Though it had been a long time since he'd read the Soul Land novels and their sequels, one detail still stood out in his memory: the reason the Mysterious Heaven Technique surpassed all the meditation methods on the Douluo Continent was due to its incredibly complex Soul Power circulation route. It utilized nearly all the meridians in the human body, especially the Eight Extraordinary Meridians.
While Ye Chen lacked precise knowledge of where those Eight Extraordinary Meridians were located, or how to open and use them, he understood instinctively: mastering them would be key if he wanted to create a Cultivation Technique even stronger than the original Mysterious Heaven Technique.
Just like that, time passed, and it was already midnight.

Ye Chen froze for a moment after hearing the notification. The minuscule increase in Soul Power barely registered in his mind; it wasn't even worth a second thought. But the second reward, the Gale-Force Reading Glasses, instantly lit up his mood. This was something he was very, very happy about.
He had just been lamenting earlier that he might never finish reading all the books in the Library; not even in a lifetime. And now, he had this.
With the Gale-Force Reading Glasses, he no longer had to spend countless hours slogging through mountains of dense, boring texts just to memorize key information. Information that was essential for his future plans and goals.
He immediately pulled up the System's description of the item.
