The cat girl woke slowly, her consciousness rising through layers of fog like a swimmer struggling toward the surface.

She blinked, eyes heavy, the world blurry. The noises grew clearer. Sharper. Louder.

Then another sound — deeper, male, a low groan of pleasure.
