Naya was still clinging happily to Aiden when a sudden thought seemed to strike him.
The little Bunny Folk boy lifted his head, his crimson eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Daddy..."
Aiden glanced down at him.
"What's up, kiddo?"
Naya's long bunny ears twitched.
"Do you know there's a witch in the forest, on the northern side of the village?"
Aiden blinked.
"...A witch?"
His eyebrows rose with curiosity.
"Wait. A witch? Really?"
Naya nodded enthusiastically.
"Mmm!"
He leaned closer, lowering his voice as though he were about to reveal a great secret.
"She lives in the forest, away from everyone. I heard that she used to live in our village, but the elders made her leave."
Aiden's playful expression gradually faded into one of interest.
"They made her leave? Why?"
Naya tilted his head.
"Because they said she was a witch."
Aiden stared at him.
Then he slowly turned toward Nayomi and Nadi.
Both women immediately avoided his gaze.
