Time slowly passed as Ace and the others kept their guard up. When Ace glanced at the fusion timer and saw only two minutes remaining, he immediately said to Ghetsis (N's father): "It's almost ready!"
Ghetsis nodded. Just as Ace finished speaking, cracks began to appear on the Cocoon of Light. A sound like glass gradually shattering reached both their ears.
"Boom!"
The instant the system prompt showed the fusion time hitting zero, an explosion suddenly erupted from within the Cocoon of Light. The powerful blast of air forced Ace and Ghetsis to raise their arms to shield themselves against the shockwave.
The shockwave subsided, and a behemoth over four meters tall stood quietly in the valley. The Pokémon slowly opened its eyes. In its flame-like pupils, a flicker of gold flashed, set against blue sclera, giving it an air of calm fury—an extremely contradictory feeling.
Though calm on the surface, the moment it made a move, that fury would tear any enemy before it into shreds!

The Tao Dragon (Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem merged was entirely gray. Its upper body was raised, standing on two legs, with short arms, similar to a Tyrannosaurus shape, and resembling the White Kyurem form. The ice horn on its right arm was replaced by a fluff similar to Reshiram's, only the fluff was gray instead of white.
Its original wings were retracted into its shoulders, but the ice fragments had transformed into pure white keratinous shoulder pads. Similar wings to Zekrom's grew on top of them. Not only were there pure white keratinous structures on its shoulders, but the Tao Dragon (Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem merged's head also grew a pure white keratinous layer, like a "V"-shaped helmet protecting its brain and cheeks.
The sharp claws on its four limbs had turned golden, gleaming with a chilling light. Its tail had reverted to a normal dragon tail state, no longer resembling the engine devices of Zekrom and Reshiram.
"Roar!"
The Tao Dragon looked up and let out a long roar, announcing to the world that its true self had finally returned!
"Tao Dragon."
Ace abruptly spoke, shouting towards the Tao Dragon: "Do you remember me?!"
The Tao Dragon lowered its head and looked at Ace.
With the three consciousnesses merging into one, the memories of Zekrom and Kyurem surfaced in the Tao Dragon's mind.
A hint of friendliness entered the Tao Dragon's eyes as it looked at Ace.
However, apart from that, it made no further gesture. Instead, it let out a few soft calls toward Ace.
"Master, it says that it is a newborn Pokémon, no longer the old body of the past. If you want it to serve you, then you must defeat it again."
Gardevoir immediately translated the Tao Dragon's words for Ace, letting Ace know its intention.
"Tsk, just as I thought."
Ace clicked his tongue in annoyance. If he hadn't forced the fusion with Reshiram but instead waited for Ace to awaken Reshiram, capture it, and then fuse them, this situation absolutely wouldn't have occurred.
What was supposed to be the easy mode was forcibly turned into nightmare mode by Black Kyurem, leaving Ace at a loss for words.
What to do?
Well, Black Kyurem was his Pokémon at the time, so he could only indulge it!
Ace took a deep breath, then slowly exhaled.
Having spent fifty thousand gold coins, Ace took out an Evolution Stone made into a pendant from his pouch and personally put it on Gardevoir.

In its Mega Evolved form, Gardevoir resembled a noble queen of the night in a pitch-black evening gown.
She looked at the Tao Dragon, her gaze calm. With a sudden raise of her hand, a silhouette of the moon appeared. The condensed power formed a pink energy ball in her hand, which she immediately shot towards the Tao Dragon.
The Tao Dragon watched Moonblast approaching. It suddenly opened its mouth, and a torrent of Extreme Cold Thunderflame mixed with chilling air poured out. It instantly engulfed Moonblast.
Then, the unimpeded attack instantly lunged towards Gardevoir.
"Whoosh!"
Aerodactyl soared into the sky with Ace, while Gardevoir used Teleport. When she reappeared, she was already on the Tao Dragon's back.
"Boom!"
Psychic struck the back of the Tao Dragon's head like a giant hammer. The Tao Dragon stumbled, taking half a step forward.
A surge of irritation rose. The Tao Dragon roared, and the energy on its body surface instantly erupted. Thunder and fire covered the Tao Dragon completely.
Gardevoir used Teleport to leave the Tao Dragon's back, avoiding damage. After landing, Gardevoir lightly stamped her foot.
In an instant, the entire valley was dyed pink, like a maiden's corridor.
"Roar!"
The Tao Dragon roared, suddenly stretching its claws forward. Fusion Flare and Fusion Bolt burst forth from its claws, rushing towards Gardevoir like twin dragons, one on the left and one on the right.
Gardevoir looked disdainful. As the two attacks were about to close in, her figure suddenly vanished. When she reappeared, she was in the air behind the Tao Dragon.
She sharply raised both hands, and Moonblast quickly gathered. In an instant, a massive energy ball nearly two meters in diameter formed.
Meanwhile, the pink color in the valley gradually faded.
"Go!"
Gardevoir waved her hands, and the massive energy ball plunged towards the Tao Dragon like a falling comet.
The Tao Dragon felt the attack behind it, one capable of threatening its life, and it abruptly floated up. Then, with a sudden movement, it flashed with lightning speed, narrowly evading the Moonblast attack.
Ace frowned and instinctively opened the Attribute Panels for both Pokémon.
