A fierce explosion directly destroyed a section of the valley, and the resulting debris filled the chasm.
Gardevoir, seeing the rapidly approaching Tao Dragon (Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem merged (Kyurem), suddenly opened its mouth and blasted a Hyper Beam toward it.
As the purple-black Hyper Beam shot toward the Tao Dragon, its color gradually softened to pink. By the time it was about to hit the dragon, it had become a pink ray.
"Thud!"
A muffled sound rang out. The accelerating Tao Dragon, caught off guard for a moment, was successfully struck by the Hyper Beam.
However, such an attack was barely a nuisance to the Tao Dragon.
The full-power energy coalesced into a high-density layer on the Tao Dragon's surface. The Hyper Beam merely chipped away a portion of this energy layer without causing any actual damage to the dragon.
Instead, the Tao Dragon charged right through the Hyper Beam toward Gardevoir. Its claws emitted a faint blue-green glow as it slashed at Gardevoir.
"Tsk, that attack of a Legendary Pokémon is essentially giving itself an extra health bar. We'll have to slowly chip away at it."
Ace clicked his tongue at the sight. His mind raced, and Gardevoir immediately used Teleport, dodging the Tao Dragon's claw.
As for the belief that the Fairy-type is immune to Dragon-type attacks, that's just a game mechanic; in reality, it's nonsense.
Energy-based attacks might be nullified, but when facing a physical attack like this, even if the Fairy-type could negate a portion of the Dragon-type energy, the Tao Dragon's claws were still solid!
If it landed a hit, Gardevoir's small frame would likely be instantly critically injured!
The Tao Dragon's claw swished through the air. Just as it was about to turn, several thin, quick vines shot out from a pile of rubble, rapidly wrapping around the Tao Dragon's legs.
The Tao Dragon looked down, suddenly opened its mouth, and shot a stream of fire that instantly incinerated the vines, causing no damage to itself.

The Fairy-type energy fused into the Tao Dragon's body, causing its brows to tightly knit.
It suddenly looked down toward where Gardevoir was. Gardevoir instantly sensed an overwhelming and terrifying danger.
It instinctively activated Teleport, but at that moment, Gardevoir abruptly found its feet frozen to the spot, preventing the completion of the Teleport.
"Oh no..."
Gardevoir mentally cried out in alarm. But in that instant, ice rapidly spread, instantly freezing Gardevoir solid within a block of ice.
Along with Gardevoir, the entire valley transformed into a world of ice and snow!
"It's over," the Tao Dragon couldn't help but think as it looked at the frozen Gardevoir.
But just as the Tao Dragon let its guard down, Gardevoir, still within the ice block, instantly vanished.

As the Tao Dragon searched for her, Gardevoir suddenly hurled the Moonblast down.
"Boom!"
The Moonblast slammed into the Tao Dragon and immediately exploded.
A powerful shockwave swept out. The Tao Dragon cried out in pain, directly flung backward by the blast.
Simultaneously, Ace quickly threw an Ultra Ball, successfully striking the tumbling Tao Dragon.
The Tao Dragon transformed into a red light and was sucked into the Ultra Ball.
The Ultra Ball landed on the ice, shook once, and then immediately shattered, and the Tao Dragon reappeared on the ice surface.
"It didn't work. Then let's con—"
Ace was about to tell Gardevoir to continue the attack but noticed with confusion that after emerging, the Tao Dragon showed no hostility or fighting intent. Instead, it sat quietly on the ice.

After hearing Gardevoir's translation, Ace hesitated for a moment, then took out a fresh Ultra Ball and threw it toward the Tao Dragon.
The Ultra Ball struck the Tao Dragon. The Tao Dragon offered no resistance, calmly allowing itself to be sucked into the Ultra Ball.
The Ultra Ball fell, shook once, then completely stilled, finally silent!
