In the original Yu-Gi-Oh! GX series, the subordinates of the Supreme King were spirits primarily consisting of [Dark World] monsters, supplemented by other Dark Attribute creatures.
Although they were powerful, those spirits followed the Supreme King only because of his overwhelming strength. Once the Supreme King reverted to Jaden and was falsely reported as "killed," his army scattered instantly, showing no loyalty whatsoever.
To Jaden Yuki, such an army was entirely unnecessary. The HEROes who fought alongside him and the newly subdued card spirits were the perfect choices for his new "Supreme King's Army."
Whether it was the powerful Yubel, the likes of Lava Golem and the Kaijus, the uniquely gifted Ghost Girls, or the cunning and treacherous Traptrix, they were all far superior to the fodder of the previous army.
The surrounding black mist dissipated. The figures of Ghost Ogre and Yubel gradually vanished along with the darkness, and the Abandoned Dorm returned to its original silence.
"Incredible... a Shadow Duel."
Watching the scene transform, Kosuke Kunisaki clicked his tongue in wonder, his eyes filled with astonishment. "To think that such a legendary duel actually exists."

"Do you still have the dignity of a Duelist in your eyes?" Jaden looked at him.

Kosuke's mind trembled. Whether it was Jaden's eyes or his words, they made Kosuke feel as though resistance was impossible.

"Of course, even if you do talk, it won't matter much," Jaden chuckled softly. He gave Kosuke one last look before turning to leave.
"Ugh..." Cold sweat poured down Kosuke's forehead. It won't matter? Why don't I believe that? If I talk, I probably won't live to see tomorrow's sun, will I?
Watching Jaden's receding back, Kosuke wiped the sweat from his brow. Looking down, he realized his clothes were already soaked through.

Kosuke's gaze suddenly locked onto something on the ground. It was a card that had fallen at some point the Field Spell [Skyscraper].

"No need." Jaden waved his hand, stopping Yubel's dangerous thought. He couldn't help but feel that the way Ghost Belle looked at him was like a prey looking at a hunter. It's not like I actually wanted to do anything to her, right?
"P-please, don't eat me... everything before was a misunderstanding. I... I just wanted to find someone to play with," Ghost Belle stammered, shrinking further into the corner as Jaden took a step forward.
"Eat you?" Jaden didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Do I look like a cannibal to you?"
"...But Ash Blossom said that spirits in the Supreme King's Army eat weak ones like us," Ghost Belle whispered, her eyes welling up with tears.
"...Ash Blossom?"
Hearing the familiar name, Ghost Ogre floated out from the side. "I knew it! That brat Ash Blossom has been stirring up trouble again, hasn't she!" Ghost Ogre yelled furiously.
"Huh?" Ghost Belle looked at Ghost Ogre, seemingly realizing something.
So that's it... Ash Blossom was the source of it all? She incited the other Ghost Girls to clash with Jaden. Did she treat these farces as a joke to kill time? Or was she trying to observe the Supreme King's strength from this perspective?
"Anyway, the King isn't the kind of person Ash Blossom described," Ghost Ogre explained to Ghost Belle at length.
Finally, Ghost Belle realized that Jaden Yuki was indeed different from the "dictator" Supreme King of legend. Though he looked cold, his heart was not as unapproachable as his exterior suggested.

In short, the six Ghost Girls basically corresponded to various Japanese monsters. Whether it was Ghost Belle's Zashiki-warashi or Ghost Ogre's snow rabbit, despite their varied legends, they were generally easy-to-get-along-with card spirits.
As for Ash Blossom, her prototype was likely the dog "Shiro" from the fairy tale The Old Man Who Made Withered Trees Blossom. Since her origin was the spirit of a puppy, she certainly inherited a mischievous personality.
"Sigh, what a headache." Jaden rubbed his temples. There were many card spirits that left one feeling quite helpless.
"Um..."
While Jaden was sighing, Ghost Belle, led by Ghost Ogre, cautiously approached him.

Watching the interaction between the two, Yubel folded her arms and sighed helplessly. She realized that the number of spirits gathering around Jaden was becoming larger and larger.
From the initial Lava Golem, to the HEROes, the various Kaijus, and Winged Kuriboh... down to these strange spirits now.
