Let's rewind the time back to the moment Harry Osborn and the White Queen, Emma Frost, stepped through the portal and arrived at Oscorp Technology. At this point, almost all of Oscorp Technology's systems had been completely taken over by the AI Green Goblin. This was the easiest and most familiar place for the AI Green Goblin to take control of equipment, as he was, after all, originally Oscorp Technology's AI.
Consequently, once the program started, Captain America had to face all of Oscorp Technology's products, from gliders and various drones to the automatic turrets upgraded by Norman—after Doctor Octopus's death, Norman had generously sponsored a large batch of projects, successfully upgrading Oscorp's overall defense equipment.
It pretty much gave the Captain a terrible time. Pity the poor ninety-something-year-old man, with just a shield, having to deal with all the tech equipment of an entire company. Fortunately, Wolverine arrived in time to help. Captain America was quite happy to see his old comrade, though Logan was still suffering from amnesia and didn't recognize the Captain.
As for the moment the portal opened, the two initially thought it was Strange, but it wasn't. The people who arrived were Harry Osborn and Emma. Their purpose for coming here was simple: to help Norman Osborn fight the Green Goblin personality inside his brain.
After briefly explaining their situation to the Captain and his allies, the two understood what they needed to do. Both Norman and Harry were bodies that the AI Green Goblin coveted, so the number of defense targets increased from one to three.
Why three? Because the White Queen's telepathy and diamond form couldn't be used simultaneously, she had to rely on the protection of the two men to use her abilities.
"I need to tell you something. The Green Goblin is extremely powerful—so powerful that, as a personality, he can directly harm a telepath. All I can do is bring you into your father's consciousness and protect your safety."
Emma said as she had Harry lie down on the tables hastily pushed next to Norman. Harry nervously nodded and took a deep breath.
"I'm ready."
"Alright, what you need to do now is simple: help your father defeat the Green Goblin."
Norman was close to being completely overwhelmed by the Green Goblin.
Norman's original plan was to become that "second personality." Since the Green Goblin was a personality created to protect his younger self, as long as the adult Norman Osborn protected his younger self, the Green Goblin would lose its reason for existence.
Without a reason to exist, the Green Goblin would naturally become unnecessary and disappear. That was Norman's plan.
But the Green Goblin appeared and told Norman that his memories were actually wrong. The Green Goblin's creation stemmed from a memory Norman himself had forgotten: he had intentionally manufactured the bomb that killed his father, and afterward, he "created" his own amnesia, attributing everything to a terrifying goblin.
It was this goblin who had killed his father.
"No one cares about a child's nonsense. Many people thought you were simply frightened by your father's death. Their final conclusion was that your father died due to carelessly damaging your new invention, without noticing the potential risks," the young Norman, only about fourteen or fifteen, said with a smile, looking at Norman, "Do you understand now? Norman, you are not the real Norman Osborn. I am!"
"I am the Norman Osborn who planned everything, dared to resist, prevented the police from uncovering the truth, and calculated everything! And you, you are just a pathetic wretch who was scared silly after seeing his father's corpse, forgetting who he was!"
"Shut up!"
Norman threw a punch at the young Norman in front of him, but he was the one sent flying. The young Norman in front transformed to be the same height as him. Not only that, his skin turned green, becoming a powerful, terrifying goblin.
"Shut up? Why? Because you realize how weak you are, or how incompetent?"
The Green Goblin twisted his neck and walked toward Norman. Norman quickly began to recall the tricks he had prepared in advance to deal with the second personality, but the various equipment and abilities that the system should have transferred to him had lost their effect.
He immediately understood the reason.
"The Green Goblin AI."
"Yes, it deceived you too. After all, it was born from a scan of my brainwaves," the Green Goblin smiled at Norman, "Do you have any other way to fight me? Or do you plan to keep running?"
Norman took a deep breath. He actually had a secret weapon, but he didn't intend to use it.
A knocking sound came from outside the door. Norman looked at the Green Goblin, backed away step by step, and opened the door. Outside stood a young, beautiful woman with chestnut hair.
Seeing her, Norman couldn't help but murmur.
"Emily..."
"Emily Lyman, Emily Osborn." The Green Goblin shook his head helplessly, "I have your memories. Of course I know what your so-called secret weapon is. You expect to defeat me with love. Honestly, doesn't that seem a bit... cliché?"
"Cliché? When I was with Emily, that was when you appeared the least, when you were at your weakest."
The Green Goblin smiled resignedly. Norman Osborn was a fool, a complete fool.
"That's because she knows me! She's seen me! She knows how terrifying it is to let me out, that's why she humored you so much!"
With just a roar, Emily Lyman's figure blurred. Norman was terrified. Just as the Green Goblin reached out his hand towards the two of them, someone fiercely hit the back of his head with a baseball bat.
Both Norman and the Green Goblin couldn't help but look at the person who had smashed the Green Goblin on the back of the head. Norman was simply confused and curious as he looked at the newcomer: "Harry?"
"Oh, I really didn't expect this move from you, Norman..."
The Green Goblin looked at Harry behind him, puzzled, then suddenly smiled: "No, that's not right. This is outside your plan, isn't it? Someone else sent your son in. She's right here!"
Following the Green Goblin's roar, Harry's figure instantly blurred, but he looked at Norman.
"Dad, I'm here to help you."
