Chapter 383 - Chapter 383: Early Preparations

Since Peter now knew his opponents were the Elementals, as well as their true identities and general abilities, there was no need for him to charge in recklessly. He could very well follow Batman's example and prepare methods to deal with these guys beforehand.

In fact, it could be said that as villains, the Elementals were all top-tier in terms of power. Both Sandman and Hydro-Man possessed very obvious "immortal" characteristics. As long as they retained a portion of their sand or maintained contact with water, they could regenerate indefinitely.

Coincidentally, Peter hadn't yet examined how the device Norman, or rather, the AI Green Goblin, had developed to suppress the Spider-Sense worked, so he could look into that as well.

Thus, the next day, Peter arrived at the Web Base to begin his research. Dr. Jonathan had also arrived at the lab early to look after his spiders.

"Good afternoon, Dr. Jonathan," Peter said, then suddenly recalled something: "Speaking of which, didn't you participate in the project to create an antidote for the Green Goblin serum with Dr. Connors?"

"Yes, to help clear the Green Goblin serum from Phil Urich's system. Originally, we planned to use the same gene-splicing therapy as Connors, but we don't have Phil Urich's original DNA sample."

Gene-reversal therapy involves taking a person's original genetic data and using gene-splicing technology to reverse and restore it to the original gene sequence. Although this technology was costly and complicated because Oscorp did not have a gene splicer, Dr. Connors had already conducted related trials.

The biggest problem now was the lack of original DNA samples for Urich and Hamilton, as well as the other rescued Goblin Corps改造 people. They could only rely on existing data for reverse engineering.

"Of course, Connors is mainly responsible. I'm trying to improve and adjust the genes of these spiders. If everything goes smoothly, they might be more compatible with human DNA sequences, lowering the matching requirements."

The essence of the Spider Totem is mystical, Peter had told Dr. Jonathan, but Jonathan merely smiled. As a scientist, only what has been verified is credible.

Peter nodded, then went to the computer to begin designing a new suit. Regarding Nick Fury's method of concealing his identity, Peter's view was that it was an unnecessary complication. His identity was certainly no secret to Hydra, so Hydra would know no matter what if he was going to Europe.

Furthermore, with Felicia, who was connected to the Black Cat, Peter was basically certain that Nick Fury had an ulterior motive. The main purpose of his European trip was to attract Hydra's attention and contain the Elementals, who were products of the Super-Soldier program. Fury must have arranged other teams, or even more, to carry out other tasks.

"In conclusion, Spider-Man doesn't need to hide his identity, but I do need a stealth suit. Invisibility can't cover heat signatures. I need a suit that can block the heat radiation emitted by my body—at least the Venom symbiote can't do that yet."

Once designed, one suit would be left at the Web Base as a display, and the other would be taken along, to be fused with the Venom symbiote later. The design would then be complete.

He first used the Velocity Suit as the base, removing its armor-like structures, then simplifying it to design a brand-new black suit. The main focus was selecting the material so that the suit would not allow any of the wearer's heat radiation to escape, enabling stealth.

It would also be best to have some kind of light source that could startle people, so lighting up in the dark could give someone a fright.

Peter was very satisfied with the final design, sent the suit for 3D printing, and then started thinking about how to deal with the Elementals next.

"Sandman and Molten Man might be the easiest to handle. Sandman can be turned into glass with high temperatures. My bio-electricity ability might be able to do this, perhaps not? But with some amplification equipment, it would be foolproof."

Peter first thought of the Iron Spider suit, but unfortunately, that suit had just been blown up in the fight with the Green Goblin not long ago. Tony hadn't built a new one yet, and it might be problematic even by the day he was set to leave for Europe. Mainly because Peter used the Iron Spider suit as a self-detonating vehicle, its greatest use being to cling onto an opponent and then detonate.

Tony, without a doubt, had strong opinions about this.

"But I can extract the Iron Spider suit's mechanical arms and create a backpack, just like Cindy Moon from Earth-65 did. Wait... I remember the Avengers recorded Otto Octavius's equipment. If I can externalize his neural control system..."

He could create a mechanical arm backpack. As long as this backpack could gather his bio-electricity and amplify the output, the Sandman would be easily manageable.

Molten Man, according to descriptions, was not composed of pure fire but a liquid metal similar to lava. Therefore, with enough low temperature, he would solidify and become immobilized. It seemed best to bring Iceman from the X-Men, but that wasn't realistic.

So, he would have to ask Norman to make him some low-temperature bombs, preferably not shaped like pumpkins.

"Next are Hydro-Man and Cyclone. I don't have any ideas for Hydro-Man yet. It's unlikely he'd be foolish enough to fight me where there's no water. Fighting Hydro-Man in a place like Venice is unimaginable. The main problem is not having seen Hydro-Man and not knowing his specific composition. Otherwise, I might find ways to reduce his stability."

As for Cyclone... Honestly, the Cyclone in the comics was a mutant who generated wind by spinning, but now, after modern modification, he had become a living cyclone. However, he wasn't without weaknesses. Peter had a few ideas, but it would be best to meet the enemy first to understand their true abilities.

But then again...

Peter suddenly thought of another matter, concerning Ultron. He pulled out his phone and saw that the Avengers really needed to talk about Ultron, especially why Pym had upgraded him.

Pym had given the answer, "Kang wants me to witness the future." Even so, Peter didn't trust Kang, and the others on the team likely felt the same way. But what's done is done, so how to handle Ultron had become the next problem for the Avengers to face.
