Chapter 560 - Chapter 560: Final Battle of the Kang Dynasty (1)

The Godkiller Armor—Kang's ultimate weapon—was a machine originally built in the early 21st century by Tony Stark to combat a terrifying class of enemies known as the "Celestials." Over many centuries, humanity had repeatedly modified and improved it, until it eventually became the monolith they were looking at now.

The reason humanity had to keep retrofitting the same unit was that its primary material was irreplaceable: the skeleton of an actual Celestial.

"My scans are telling me there's a literal skeleton inside this thing," Tony shouted over the comms as he flew. "So, question: what kind of biological organism grows to be two kilometers tall?"

Tony unleashed a barrage of missiles while the Helicarriers in the sky opened up with full battery fire, but the attacks left the machine utterly unscathed. Thor soared through the air and brought Mjolnir down against the massive Godkiller Armor with a thunderous crack before answering. "This is but a fledgling, Stark. A true Celestial is far vaster than this."

"So what exactly are these Celestials?"

"Cosmic gods. It is said they are born from planets, and the birth of a single Celestial signals the death of a world!"

Thor struck the face of the Godkiller Armor again, but a powerful force field repelled his assault. Immediately, a swarm of diverse Kang variants lunged forward, dogpiling the God of Thunder. Farther off, the Hulk roared as he leaped onto the armor's face, delivering punch after punch. Unfortunately, even the Hulk was merely pounding against the shimmering force field without making a dent. Cyclops unleashed a full-power optic blast from a distance, but the barrier remained impenetrable.

The Godkiller Armor raised a hand, and a burst of raw energy instantly vaporized a group of cloned superheroes. As the others scrambled for cover, Captain America raised his shield, bracing against the energy beam. Looking at the titan that could slaughter an entire squad from miles away, he shouted into his communicator.

"Tony, if you built this, give us a solution!"

"First of all, a future version of me built it; I haven't even started yet! Second, only the base architecture is mine. This thing has a thousand years of human 'spaghetti code' layered on top of it..." Tony muttered, before hitting on a desperate idea. "Hank! Hank! Use Ultron!"

"What?"

"Use Ultron! Try to have him interface with it. If this was designed using Stark tech as the foundation, Ultron's learning capability should be enough to crack it!"

Pym hesitated, the dark future brought about by Ultron still haunting him, but he couldn't think of a better alternative. Meanwhile, Peter Parker had leaped onto the Godkiller's body. He tapped on the surface, suddenly noticing a flaw.

"Guys, it looks like this armor has an automated defense system that doesn't prioritize small things crawling on it..." Peter paused as a thought struck him. "Wait, has anyone seen Agent Venom? Get him on the line for me!"

At that moment, Agent Venom was busy dismantling a Scarab robot and pummeling a Kang variant. His arm morphed into a symbiotic blade, piercing the variant's chest before tossing him aside. Flash Thompson let out a sigh of satisfaction. "Yes! Nice move, partner. You think Spidey would be impressed if he saw that?"

Venom was actually a bit speechless. Since Korvac had restored reality and everyone remembered Spider-Man again, Flash had been obsessed with the topic. The symbiote himself had been feeling a bit lost thinking about Peter, but he pulled himself together to answer Flash.

I don't know.

"Aren't you guys partners? How do you not know?"

I feel like I'm able to provide him with less and less help. Perhaps I'm becoming useless...

As Venom wallowed in self-pity, a familiar voice rang out. Felicia Hardy, the Black Cat, kicked a lunging Kang variant away and landed on a nearby utility pole. "Boys? Venom? And his new ride? Spider-Man is looking for you."

"Spidey's looking for us?!" Flash asked, visibly excited. "Why?"

"I don't know. Maybe you'll find out when you get there."

Agent Venom eagerly leaped away, quickly reaching the path the Godkiller Armor was taking toward Avengers Tower. He spotted Spider-Man and landed beside him. "Oh, hey, Spidey. Anything I can do? Do you need your old suit back..."

"I need your help, Flash."

Peter immediately laid out his plan. "If we don't actively attack the big guy, it doesn't seem to mind us being on him. I need you and Venom to work together to cover this thing with the symbiote."

Flash looked up at the colossal robot. "I think... well, Venom says he can't cover the whole thing, even with Pym Particles. What are Pym Particles, anyway?"

"Dr. Pym will be here to help us soon. We don't need to cover the whole giant. Just cover the ankles and trip him! The goal is to stop his forward momentum!" Peter looked at Flash. "One leg each, just like the Battle of Hoth. Got it?"

"You got it."

Flash watched Spider-Man swing away to execute the maneuver and took a deep breath. "Alright, partner. Let's do the Empire Strikes Back. Let's trip an AT-AT."

The two symbiote-wielding heroes sprang into action. They landed on the Godkiller's ankles and rapidly began to spread their biomass. Venom and Anti-Venom expanded across a massive area in seconds, but it still wasn't enough.

Just then, a red giant rumbled toward them and threw a device. In an instant, the surface area of the symbiotes covering the Godkiller Armor expanded exponentially.

"Hey, Peter, good to see you."

Wasp, having flown over after using Pym Particles to help expand Peter's Anti-Venom, landed nearby. "It's unbelievable that everyone forgot you for an entire month."

"Thanks to that month, we're able to pull off this counterattack. Tell Flash: on the count of three, we pull."

Three, two, one.

Agent Venom and Spider-Man's forms suddenly surged in size, growing dozens of meters tall. They exerted their full strength simultaneously, using the symbiote mass attached to the Godkiller Armor to form a massive web. The two-thousand-meter giant lost its balance and came crashing down.

"I originally planned to use Pym Particles to shrink this thing," Wasp added as she landed next to Peter, who had returned to his normal size. "But it seems Pym Particles don't work on this thing either."
